I ordered broccoli Alfredo and it was supposed to come with soup. paid for it to be delivered and just got a note on the check they don't have soup this early. still charged for it. then the Alfredo looks like noodles sitting in thin milk. the "sauce" just drips right off the noodles and is very thin. no flavor. The owner/manger has to be the worst "professional" i ever encountered. I use the word professional very loosely. I ordered a meat lovers omelet. The omelet came out cold and the cheese was not even melted. You could see the actual whole slices of cheese. Asked for the manger because the waitress was very busy. He approached the table with an attitude. He asked what was the problem. I told him to stick his finger in the omelet it was cold as ice. His response was what do you want! I refuse to be spoken to like that. As a fellow manager I would never speak a customer that way. I told him take your food I don't want it. Always busy diner, currently undergoing a facelift but remains open. Friendly server, attentive. Always has specials especially early bird dinner specials. Great price great meal. We got home with a pick up order. We ordered from the menu on their website. Mine was supposed to be chicken with mushrooms and artichoke hearts. What came instead was chicken with mushrooms and broccoli. A lot of broccoli. I am not a fan of broccoli. I called to let them know and they said they stopped using artichokes four years ago. He said, I guess now they use broccoli. He said that I had to bring the dish back to the restaurant and they would make me another one. I said I'm not going out again tonight and that I shouldn't be inconvenienced for their mistake. I asked them to deliver a meal to me and I would return the old one. They said they don't deliver. So then I asked for a credit, not a refund, a credit for the next time I eat there. They said that in order to issue a credit, I would still have to bring the food back to the restaurant! Because otherwise, "you'll just sit there and eat it". How petty is that? They would have to throw that meal directly into the trash if I brought it back. And honestly, even if it was something that I liked (which it wasn't), the point is that I ordered one thing, they sent me something else and they should make it right without inconveniencing me. When I asked to speak to the owner that I should call back at 9 AM in the morning. I called and left a message and haven't heard anything back. I was going to wait until I spoke to him to find out if this is his policy or if the employees were acting on their own, but after reading some of these reviews, I realize that nothing will be accomplished by speaking with him. And at this point, I don't want a credit to go back to the restaurant anyway. I don't plan to eat there again. I would want a full refund which I'm absolutely positive I will not receive. read more

Honestly, there is a reason that New Jersey is the diner capital of the world. No place (and I mean no place) can truly compared to a New Jersey diner. A diner isn't supposed to offer upscale food nor is it supposed to be fancy. Diners about Comfort, it is about good times and good friends, it is a great place to end the night out or begin a tough work day. This diner is a good place to grab a quick meal. I opted for a breakfast omelette and since it is so close to Philadelphia, I had to go with scrapple as a side dish. I was everything a diner breakfast should be. The worst customer service I've ever seen. I had been going to the diner 3 days a week for 15 years. One day I asked for extra dressing for my salad. Not only was I denied, I was embarrassed and insulted by management for my request in front of staff and other customers. Gross. The potatoes with my omelette were so dry they were flaking like powder. I don't even know how a line cook would put these in a to go container. 35$ for two breakfasts and it was AWFUL. They 100% use frozen veggies for their omelettes. I could have eaten somewhere delicious for this price. Came here today for some breakfast. It was crowded but we were seated quickly. Their coffee was nice and hot just what I needed. Service was good. Food was tasty. I got the cheese omelet with a side of Scrapple which also comes with potatoes and toast. My daughter got the cheeseburger deluxe said it was good as well. The only thing is they forgot her coleslaw so I had to ask for It. Not sure why it seems diners do this at times. If it says it comes with it, bring it. Upon walking in I noticed a sewer smell. I was meeting a friend who was already there. This is her favorite diner. I ordered the Greek salad. All I can say it was awful! The lemon oil dressing was all oil no lemon flavor! The service was good but the smell and food I won't be back! read more

The lot was packed so we decided to try our luck. Our server Emily was nice. The menu was extensive; almost too many things to pick from and a lot of repeats. As a result, it took us a long time to figure out what we wanted to eat. (Especially since even with a regular appetizer, there are only about 6 vegetables to pick from as a side. No green veggies, just mashed potatoes, fries, etc) The portions were HUGE! I ordered fish and chips and got 5 pieces of fish! (Way more than I've ever gotten when I order it anywhere). The fries with it were brew fries. (Old school. My best friend's mom owned a bar when we were young and they made brew fries there as well, so a little nostalgic!). My sister got Chicken Croquettes with mashed potatoes and loved them, My grandmother was happy with her French onion soup and Texas toast style grilled cheese, My biggest gripes would be the lack of selection with veggies and having to ask for the dessert that was included in our meal. Booth was not cleaned well if at all. Elderly hostess and elderly host yelled at us upon entering. We stop serving hot food at exactly 7:15! And we close at 8pm exactly! Cheesesteak tasted awful, like the meat was going bad. Way to much pasta sauce on raviolis. Horrible place. Waitress was very nice though! Place is gross and not clean! We've been here a few times and have never had a bad meal. Today I had the Mediterranean salad which was topped with a little crabmeat and a few large shrimp. Mom had the pastrami Reuben. Both portions were large and tasty. The fries that came with the Reuben were hot and crispy. They forgot the coleslaw that was included. No biggie. We were waited on very promptly. I chose this place blindly without checking the reviews. I chose this place over the Voorhees Diner, only because Voorhees was one mile further than this place. I always have this 3am-4am appetite while I'm out... Lately it's been an appetite for throwing money away... So I walked into this diner.. Greeted by a very friendly manger, possible owner. Followed by an equally pleasant waitress...I struggled with the menu as usual, because I predictably try to play it safe when ordering. I wanted a steak. But I thought of every way that the steak could be cooked wrong. I thought of meatloaf... But the last time I ordered meatloaf, I was served the worst meatloaf I've ever seen. I finally settled on grilled pork chops. This is a dish that's impossible to screw up. Well... they did.. Who cooks a pork anything well done?? Apparently this cook does. Out comes my plate and it was pretty evident to see that I had three wood chops on my plate... I started sawing into the first one.... hard as a shoe. The second and third was no better. Cute little diner. Close to Laurel rd and WHP. The food I got was good but prices were a little high. When I think of diner food I always think burgers coffee comfort and reasonable prices people mostly hit them because they're tired and want something good to eat fast and not spend a fortune. We ordered eggs hash browns rye toast the price was good but mostly everything else on the menu was 11$ and up which definitely wasn't warranted. Burgers were no less than 8$ so all in all only heading there in a dire emergency because if I'm spending money I'm heading elsewhere where the food does t look like it comes from a cafeteria. read more

Went to the stratford diner after the movies in Somerdale, ordered a chicken penini. The bread was stale and tasted 3 days old, I had to ask for mayo since it was so dry but did not complain. 3/4 into my sandwich, I am chewing and have something hard. I pull it out of my mouth and it is plastic... told the waitress, said she was going to yell at the cook. Manager came over and basically accused me of putting it in my sandwich. My husband ordered a gyro but it didn't come with tanziki sauce. The server was not attentive. He told the waitress that we had been waiting. She said something to him, poured coffee to the table behind us and went in the opposite direction. Their daily lunch specials are the way to go, $10-12 gets your a cup of one of their delicious hearty soups, an entree, and dessert. I've had their lentil and split pea soups, both of which I highly recommend. Grilled cheese seems to be my go-to here, either with bacon or pork roll. I've never been disappointed. Dessert is typically comprised of a cup of pudding, ice cream, or jello. The rice pudding is amazing. My dad ordered the Jello and said the flavour was very concentrated. A waitress dropped a mug while she was serving plates to a table. The owner came over and started bashing on her, telling the customers that he didn't like his servers talking to customers and that they should just do their job instead of talk. He then screamed at the waitress in the kitchen where everyone in the diner could hear. After my father confronted him for screaming at the waitress, he came to our table and started being aggressive, telling us to mind our business and getting too close, leaning in and threatening us. He seemed like he was going to start a fight. Every time I've come here, there has been some situation where he has screamed at an employee or been rude to customers. He's a complete a-hole and I can't believe no one else stood up for the waitress. Do not support this business owner that abuses his employees. The food isn't even that good. read more

It's ok- your average greasy spoon local diner. I've been here countless times and only had 1-2 issues with service. The food is average diner fare, which of course tastes best after a night out. The best part of this diner is its close location to PATCO's Lindenwold Station, which makes it a great place to grab a quick bite after a night out. I'm between 2-3 stars here--- the food is fine--- the whole place is just so average. Oh and you either love or hate their double-fried fries. Many people I know find them gross, but my hubby and I like them. read more

I tried to continue to enjoy this diner for 2 main reasons. They used to be quality and I live in Stratford. However, most the staff don't seem to care, food quality down hill, portions smaller, prices doubled, but all of that pales in comparison to finding a BUG in my soup! Now the managers apologized but that doesn't help the situation. I lost my appetite, it was disgusting. And he did not even offer any type of jesture or good will pn the diners part. Rest my family ate. Paid a $55 check for 5 single small shrimp on plate, one seafood plate, and one hamburger. That's it. $55? Really? Food wasn't good, and after all that, the bug in my food, they still did nothing for me ir my family. Oh and the servers lie about the specials and lunch menu to jack the check up higher. I went to lamp post diner instead and will continue to do so. Great food st lamp post with good service, quality food with big portions. Stratford diner really let me down. First with prices, than servers, than portions, now it's just disgusting with BUGS in my "fresh" soup. I would give 0 stars if possible! read more

Every time I come here with my job they always treat us well. I ordered the chicken parm mini meal. And let's just say it's not mini at all. Things haven't improved, server didn't get my order right and it wasn't good.

Horrible service. The waitress even said "I'm a really sh*tty waitress" and we all kind of put our heads down in silence. Awk-ward! She served the salads, then came back with the appetizers and meals about 2 minutes later. No sense of timing. She couldn't even keep track of her ordering pad. She looked like she was on crack. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that, like me, she's working multiple jobs to make ends meet. Still, that's no excuse. The food tasted stale/rubbery/unextraordinary.
