First time here and I must say what I had was really great and would highly recommend this place.

This place is a disaster. So poorly run that it always is in meltdown mode when I try to buy bagels. Customers screaming at staff, who obviously have no service training. They need to fire everyone and start over. Maybe hire a real manager. read more

First off this place was so cute and welcoming! I loved the fun classic New York style decor and everything looked delicious in the deli! The menu seemed a little over priced, but they did have a lot of options! Be prepared to pay $9.95 for just a kids meal alone! Thankfully when we got our food it was SO good! Everything was fresh and delicious! Most delicious lox and bagels I've had in this area for sure! Only downfall is the service. We waited over 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday at 11:30, which wasn't too bad considering the area. Our server Nida greeted us once we were sat and only gave us two sets of silverware (even though there was 4 of us). We had to ask for more twice. I was told there was a complimentary pickle basket that every table gets by a customer waiting, and saw all the guests who were seated with them. However, she never brought us ours. Then we had to wait for 15 minutes for her to run our card after she dropped the check (maybe this is why their wait is so long?). I've been coming here for years. I always avoid high peak times and weekends. But my boy wanted to go today. This being a Wednesday after Christmas, I knew it be busy. But sadly this place has gone downhill. Food took forever to come out. My plate was 5-10 min after my son. He got an omelette and found a friend in it. We immediately stopped eating and asked to see the manager and she was very nice to talk to. But this place has had issues before with cleanliness and now I see why. Normally I love these bagels. I got the wrong order and called. No apologies it was the opposite. She was not nice about. I got fennel with the wrong order. She says she does not make that kind. Five stars for service. Susie was great. An omelette for $14? C'mon? Who can actually eat that sized omelette? I figured I would eat half and take the rest home. So for $14 not bad because it's actually 2 omelets. I ordered the Wild West and my friend ordered an egg white with Muenster and sauteed onions. We ate maybe a third of it. To me it was dry with not enough of the ingredients just mostly egg. I ate all the toppings off the top. My friend felt the same. We asked for to go boxes but honestly threw them out once outside. I'm sure other menu items are tasty but for me breakfast was a miss. And pricey at that! read more

Whenever I see the words New York or Brooklyn on any store it usually sends me running for the hills. Restaurants use these words to attract unsuspecting customers (not New Yorkers, we know better) to what is usually disappointing food. Because of this I was hesitant to try out strathmore's for the longest but ended up being pleasantly surprised when I did. First of all unlike other bagel stores in the area they actually know what bialy is. Not only that but they do a decent job of making them and bialys are my favorite. Sandwiches whether on a roll or bagel come stacked! Portions are very generous and food is of good quality. I love grabbing a sausage egg n cheese or a BLT from this place. For you New Jersey folks they make a pretty good taylor ham here as well. Prices aren't cheap here but you definitely get what you pay for. There's a nice inside dinning room with table service or outdoor tables where you can sit with your to-go food. Only downside is at 7 a.m they open a bit late for a bagel store, so I never can go on my way to work. read more

Great bagels, terrible service. I wish I could give this place a 2.5. Called and asked if I could place a phone order and then pay for it when we got there. We were in a hurry and wanted to speed up the process. The woman who answered the phone rudely informed that they do not take phone/Togo orders. Seems completely absurd to NOT take phone orders in these times. We decided to stop dispite the rude telephone interaction, due to a family members specific request. The food was excellent. We ordered A variety of bagels and spreads with nova. We ordered apple streusel and black and white cookies. It was a great brunch/lunch! Again we would return for the food but the service would hold us back. The cashier read my friends t-shirt when she was checking out and rolled her eyes. Classic Appetizings and Bagel place in the middle of Lake Worth. Both a very active takeaway counter and restaurant are available -- expect a line up of eager customers waiting on both sides on the weekend. Our 3rd time here was a disaster. We had to wait way too long for our meals to be served. We noticed other tables were served before us. We didn't order anything unusual or difficult to prepare. The waitress gave other tables additional napkins and proper service. She came back after we were served and gave us a few very unusual stares-something like gaslighting. The cleaning of our table was also a disaster. My portion of food was very skimpy and I noticed other dishes were much larger. The prices were very high and the wait staff is terrible. We will NEVER go back and we dine out frequently. The entire place needs a major makeover. Go somewhere else if you want bagels/deli and a nice dining experience, there are many good places. Wish I had a jewish deli like by where I live. Matzoh ball chicken noodle soup was fantastic. The matzoh ball just melts in your mouth. Soup came out hot and everything was very fresh. In addition, I had tuna fish on an everything bagel which was everything I hoped it would be. Side of coleslaw was quite good. In addition, they provide complimentary pickles which I appreciate. Service was poor and, frankly, found the employees to be extremely rude and not determined to provide a strong customer service experience. Not asking for a lot but a "hello" would have been nice to at least acknowledge my entry into the establishment. There were about 6 people in front of me while I was waiting on line and it took roughly 30 minutes just to approach the counter. What really turned me off was the fact the bagel and the rest of my food was literally thrown into the bag and not even wrapped. Literally just tossed in. Bagel itself was overpriced and not worth the wait I felt. The restaurant itself had a nice bagel/deli atmosphere, which very much liked. A nice variety of deli chips, sandwiches, bagel toppings, and things of that sort. I would say 2.5 stars. Fresh bagels, lots of different flavors to choose from. They even have Black and White cookies. Just like a New York deli, or pretty close.

Giant portions. Tender nova lox & bagels with generous cream cheese and toasted bagels. Good coffee! Little expensive but worth it, especially if you split it because it's very filling. Great service too. read more

We have been to this establishment a few times and was excited to make the 30 minute trip back from PBG. We were seated pretty quickly, place was busy. Took a while but a lovely waitress took our orders , 2 soup and half sandwiches, and quickly brought over the two Dr Brown Sodas and mushroom barley soups I inquired about the pastrami and requested it not be fatty. She assured me she would request lean. The soups were delicious and a generous portion. The 1/2 sandwiches come with a choice of sides, I ordered cucumber salad and my husband ordered potato salad with his corned beef sandwich. My sandwich arrived and it was not just fatty but a shredded fatty mess, inedible, sent it right back. My husband didn't really look that close, his looked better than mine but it was also fatty and chewy. He dealt with it unhappily. We had to request pickles because they never brought over any and they never brought over crackers for the soup. Our waitress took it back and returned with a model pastrami sandwich , she admitted the first one looked like "crap" as my husband had also referred to it. The replacement was delish, why couldn't the first one be? My husband left a plate of fatty remnants of his sandwich , she offered him a discount off the bill, 10% off best she could do. Unfortunately my husband doesn't want to ever come back. I'm disappointed because I know what they are capable of. It's too bad. Absolutely love this place. IMHO a better deli than TooJay's and most others in the area. The bagels, of course, are excellent. Their homemade fish salads are fantastic. Highly recommend grabbing breakfast or lunch here. You'll find HUGE portions for most of the items I've had (or had friends order) and reasonable prices. The bakery counter has a massive variety of fresh cookies, cakes, brownies, and pastries. Never been disappointed with their baked good either. read more

I would give a zero star review, but that's not possible on yelp. Came here today with my daughter to get some bagels and man as soon as we walk in you can feel the negative energy coming from the cashier. Older lady, as I'm placing my order she cuts me off and is trying to order for me, something totally different than I was trying to place. My daughter stepped in and said no, let her place her order, that's not what she wants. The cashier's demeanor totally changes and becomes dismissive. She walks away and then an older white gentle man walks in and she totally changes her attitude and is very catering. In this day and age you would think that racism shouldn't exist but let me tell you it does! I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Possibly the worst deli and server experience that I have had. Left street art fair to take wife and daughter there for lunch. Encountered a server that was rude, and totally unprofessional. After a prolonged wait to place order asked server for pickles that are normally brought to the table. Said she was too busy. Brought order that was just warm, corned beef sandwich bread was soggy , daughters egg sandwich was cold. Corned beef was tough and served without a pickle and pickles were never brought to the table. Water was never refilled. All in all a terrible experience. Manager did credit the bill , which was not asked for. The point is that we waisted our time, drove 10 miles to a restaurant to be treated like crap. One would think that a $17 sandwich at least deserves a pickle!! read more

Stratmore has always been one of my favorite bagel shops around Wellington. They make bagels fresh every day and they taste great. I had breakfast there over the holidays and the omelettes are huge. Very unsanitary, disgusting, and rude. I am visiting all the way from New York, a few friends from florida recommended this place. I was getting a bagel with cream cheese with coffee to go, but needed the bathroom. On the way there, I saw a waitress picking and eating the customers food on the diner side, HOW GROSS. I asked the other waitresses for her name, it's Sherry. She has a snappy attitude, I saw her rolling her eyes and giving a mean look to her co-workers. Then, to top it off my coffee tasted so disgusting and the cream cheese was like play dough. This place has really gone downhill unfortunately. I used to take out as well as dine in since they opened, however; the food quality has gone down, prices up, & service unacceptable. I am tired of getting over charged on take out orders, biting into stale cookies & stale rugelach, & the lack of cleanliness inside the restaurant itself is a huge turn off! The staff is not really polite- they seem super irritated and not happy at all which does not make me feel comfortable in their handling my food.
