I have always hated to go to the dentist. I have always hated the way they try to get you to commit to work you were really don't need and are always shooting for the most expensive option. This dentist is not like that. I recently broke a bridge and needed a replacement. He gave me three pricing options with no pressure on any over the other. Dr. Stratton is quite detail oriented and takes great pride in his work. His office is always clean and organized and his entire staff was very customer oriented, positive and attentive. I never heard a word of discord between any of them and they really seem to enjoy working for Dr. Stratton. My new bridge looks and fits great. It wasn't cheap, but I don't regret one dollar of the expense. read more

Stratton Dental is the best! In the past I have had dentists that always seem to come up with random, EXPENSIVE work that I need done on my teeth. I take really good care of my teeth, and so it was always very hard for me to trust dentists. Dr. Stratton isn't at all like that. He is very professional and someone I feel like I could trust. I had a cavity that needed filling but I was 8 1/2 month pregnant when it was discovered. Dr. Stratton was not at all pushy about getting it filled. A few months later I scheduled my filling and I was in and out of his office in 20 minutes! The staff is also super friendly. I forgot my wallet, and they were completely understanding and allowed me to call later to schedule my payment. I think there are a lot of dentists out there that are pushy salesman seeking to make as much money off of you as possible. Dr. Stratton does the work that needs doing. The office is clean and always smells good. His team is friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Stratton will be my dentist and my kids dentist for life. He takes care of my needs and is NOT trying to get me for more money. They work with my schedule. I never have to wait for my appointment. I can't say enough about this dentist. I first began going to this office when Dr. Bennett was there in 1992ish. Everyone was always nice, professional, and would bend over backward to help you (especially Debbie at the front desk). Debbie must have kept notes on everyone because she would always welcome you with a smile, ask about your job, etc. it was like she knew you. When Dr. Bennett retired I started seeing Dr. Stratton. He remodeled the entire office, bringing it up to date (sorry Dr. Bennett) and looking fresh and modern. I have continued to have the same awesome care with Dr. Stratton with one exception, Debbie. I guess they just don't make them like her anymore. The women at the front desk are somewhat standoffish and not happy to see you when you walk in. Then again they don't work on my teeth. Those who do are professional, respectful, and just nice people. I seen in other reviews that people have complaints about the front office people and I have to say this is not the first time I have heard of the management end of a business being "nasty" and the doctor sticks up for them and telling a patient they are no longer welcome. I don't think this is right. I have worked with a "support staff" in the past and know first hand the power trip they can get over others. When that happens, it's time to move on. I did recently recommend a friend to this office and she did like Dr. Stratton and everyone she dealt with and I will recommend them again. read more

I've lived in Vegas all my life and have unfortunately made my way through about half a dozen dentists (no joke). No more. Dr. Stratton and his staff are kind, relaxing and make you feel right at home. They explain everything thoroughly and I feel comfortable asking questions if there's something I don't understand. I recently had a tooth pulled and had the option of repairing it with either an implant or a bridge. Dr. Stratton was completely transparent in explaining the pros and cons of each procedure. I never felt like I was pressured into getting any work that wasn't necessary. They offer treatment plans that are easy to understand and allow you to get an accurate idea of what your out of pockets cost will be. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Stratton is professional and kind. The facility itself is super clean and tastefully decorated. Oh I'm sorry I definitely did not like this doctor whatsoever he made me feel very uncomfortable. I went in for x-rays And found out that when it was time to get my x-rays back and tell me the work that I needed to be done he said that "One tooth needs to be on dog from the filling to get rid of some underlying cavity and then the one next to it may or may not need a root canal but he wouldn't know until he got in so like an idiot, after seeing the x-ray and looking at it since I've had so much work done on my teeth- I didn't think it would be a problem because I knew he wouldn't have to dig it wasn't deep enough. So after he has me in the chair I started to get uncomfortable when he was about to inject me with his needle and he lost his patience rolled his eyes and scuffed "would you like to do this another time" in an authoritie manner. Right then and there I should've known that would be my last visit and it definitely turned me off that he would be that dismissive and impolite It's not every day you get a needle in your gums it's very uncomfortable anyway after he started to do the procedure and started to dig in both of my teeth, of Course!!!! He had to drill inside my second tooth and give me a unnecessary root canal. I was absolutely livid but I just kept it to myself because he had already exposed my tooth what was I supposed to do? So I got charge several hundred dollars to pay for the co-pay but I wasn't expecting on And I'm sorry but I am not a dentist but I am pretty sure I did not need that root canal. Weeks later the girls in the office actually had the nerve to call my house and see if I would come back and have more work done and I told them "I will not be returning to this doctor he makes me very uncomfortable he makes me feel like he's one of those doctors that charges people for things that they really don't need and it makes me uncomfortable" In my opinion I think he completely scammed me and my insurance company for giving me unnecessary work to be completed when I was at my most vulnerable. I ended up switching dentists and going across the street I became a patient of modern dentistry near target directly across and so did my son. I arrived to my appointment and opened the door to the dental office and they immediately greeted me with a smile and called me by my name ! I immediately felt welcomed here. I wish as a patient , I felt the same as the 10 prior ten reviews . This Dentist advertises $39 X-ray and Exam for first time patients without Insurance . I decided to go to Dr Travis Stratton after my Front Bridge came off and I needed them re cemented. I was quoted 99 dollars and that included the full X-ray and exam. The front office completed the appointment card including writing down the price. I was told as long as no Decay on the Bridge Bone was found that was the price for me to have the bridge re-cemented back and returned the next day Sept 7th with the completed Forms. A picture was taken of me including a copy of my Drivers License . I was taken back and X-rays, and exam were done both the XRay Tech and Hygienist were professional and did a Good Job.I will even say Dr Stratton was a pleasure to meet and was informed that I was without Insurance so any further work would have to wait till open enrollment. It was after the Dr Stratton Left the tech came back in took my blood pressure 128/78 . While I'm in the chair The Billing girl comes in and tells me I'm going to check on your co pay ????? I already informed the staff and Dr I didn't have Dental insurance and won't till open enrollment. The Billing girl comes back in and tells me as I'm in the Dental Chair the cost is 261.00. The 99 fee is only for the Exam and X-rays. I told her that's not what I was told she told me if you want them cemented in you have to pay 261.00 . I told her I have the 99 Cash as told to me Yesterday, but she only replied we will bill you if you don't want it done its 99.00. I refused to pay was told we will send you a bill and if it's not paid it will go to collections. I went to my truck and obtained the Appointment card with the 99 fee written on it 60 above what they advertise on their website for new patients. I attempted to show her this and advised I would file a complaint and her reply was " I don't respond to threats". What threat ??? The lack of communication, and unprofessionalism by this one employee has left a real bitter taste with me as a Patient. I will update this after I hear from the Dr . The Dr refused to fix Bridge , I wouldn't recommend. Did waive the 99 fee and indicated he would provide me with my X rays upon signing a waiver . No waiver signed nor were my records released to me I'm the Patient not another Dentist requesting my records Said he could no longer see me as a patient, LOL Nevada has 1,300 plus dentist, Why go to a person who has to use subterfuge to attract Business. Dr. Stratton is a good dentist. He is more conservative with his work and isn't just trying to mess with all your teeth if they don't need to be fixed. I like most of his staff and I love that you can get a crown the same day in his office (you can even watch the machine make it). He is calm and relaxed and gentle with his work. I hate going to the dentist but feel comfortable here! Once my son had a dental emergency and his pediatric dentist couldn't get him in for a week. I am extremely disappointed with this dentist! I went to him as a new patient and because I received a discount card in the mail for new patients. I had a broken tooth and needed immediate attention. Dr. Travis told me he thought I might need a crown AND a root canal. He tried to drill my tooth but I had a great amount of pain. No matter how much novocaine he gave me, I was not numb enough. His answer was to get a root canal! I do not have dental insurance, so anything I get done is a full cash transaction. A root canal alone is $1300.00!!! I went to another dentist. His opinion was that Dr. Stratton was inexperienced and didn't know where the nerves were to numb me properly. This new dentist was able to numb me as I needed, he did the work, and my tooth is repaired! I did not need a root canal!!! I do not recommend Dr. Stratton, so if you go to him, do so at your own risk. Oh, btw... I asked Dr. Stratton's office to send copies of my x-rays to my new dentist. They REFUSED to do so, unless I paid them $61.00, the cost of the coupon's discount. I have learned since then that that is AGAINST THE LAW !!!, and that I should report his practice to the Dental Board!! read more
