So we've had pizza from this place a few times as well as some other items delivered. The pizza with white sauce! Delicious would definitely recommend. The meat ball sandwich? Ugh... Didn't like it too much. But love those bread twist things, which are great. Only thing i don't like is though we live just off of Santa Clara St - our food has gotten delivered cold .... not once, not twice but three times a charm ... in everything but this. The pizza is okay, more a hassle to warm up in the oven when it gets here. And the most time i have waited for a delivery has been an hour and 23 minutes....yes i counted, when you are hungry and waiting time goes by slowly and your eyes stay on the clock. Had a great experience here. Went for a kid's birthday party on a Saturday afternoon and the owner/manager and his staff really took care of the party. Excellent customer service, good pizza and beer, and there were literally TV's all around the room with all the different sports game playing. Was our first time here, but we'll likely be back next time we're in the area. read more

We just moved here from CO, so we decided to try something that we don't have there. We got delivery. They delivered quickly even though it was a Friday night- Score! But for $22 we had a "medium" pizza (12") and some cheesy bread even though we'd asked if they had cheese sticks over the phone. Not the same. The pizza was good, however 12" for a medium is about the same as an individual anywhere else (ever been to California Pizza Kitchen? It's that size.) There wasn't enough sauce on it and, over all, it was disappointing for the money. Needless to say, we won't be going back. I'd rather spend half the money for some big box pizza place like Pizza Hut. If their small pizza's were absolutely amazing, then yeah, I'd understand. But they are not. I live down the street from this place so I figured I'd give it a try. First impression was good, the place was clean and customer service was great. We ordered 2 medium pizzas (we got one for free). I got the classic veggie which I thought was amazing. My boyfriend got the meat-e-or. I don't eat pork but it looked so good I had to try his pizza and it was sooo good but my stomach hated me after that. I gave it 3 stars because we also order some potato wedges, which were the worse I've ever had. They tasted like they were frozen and they were heated up in the microwave. DISGUSTING! We ordered our pizza to go, I know we should have checked our order, but we just gave it a quick look. We ordered thin crust, extra pepperoni and cheese. We got thick crust and a small amount of pepperoni. It's very frustrating to not get your food the way you ordered it, too much trouble to take it back. All the pizzas are delicious. I particularly don't like onion but the garlic chicken pizza is my fav!! It's also cool to have so many tv's everywhere because you can watch more than one favorite channel at once! The owners are also very nice and we have birthday parties there all the time. This is definitely my favorite place to hang out at and enjoy a great pizza, beer and all the sports I like. Everything, I have eaten here is always fresh including the salads and the salad bar is always clean, full and topped off. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making it a very enjoyable experience every time I visit. I have been coming here for three years and have brought first time visitors which loved the food here as well and the idea of being able to make reservations for their personal parties. Nothing like their two for tuesdays special! We love that we can eat their pizza without feeling sick after eating too much. Same goes with their garlic parmesan groovy twists (less greasy compared to Round Table's). If you eat in, they let you watch whatever you want on one of their flat screens - bf always wants to watch the game so they just hand him their remote. The wait for food isn't too long, appetizers come out in about 5-10 minutes and the pizza will arrive by 20 minutes, hot and fresh. They also have a big arcade area in the back room which is great for big parties. Big plus - bathrooms are clean! read more

Fight at Straw Hat. No, it wasn't an altercation. It was a coordinated showcase of the Mayweather fight. Pizza on order, soda or beer on tap, flat screens TV's all around, with two of them showing the A's game and all others showing the rematch everyone was waiting for. Some people reserved seats before the day, while the majority of us showed up hoping to get a seat. The proprietor, keeping head count as people enter (don't want to exceed the max occupancy), and artfully seating people, as he seemed to know all his customers. So you enter, grab food and beverage, sit near 'strangers', you eat and watch preliminary fights, maybe take a break or two, you have minor conversation, and the big fight comes on. Your rooting for rounds because you have a wager, but the fight continues, you root for their round because they also have a wager, but the fight continues. Last round, your full, Mayweather wins at decision (no surprise there) and you've made a few more friends you hope to see at Straw Hat on the next sporting event. Awesome experience. read more

I have ordered twice from this location. Once this past weekend and many months ago. Both times it was picked up and both times the pizza was overcooked, dry, cold and just...bad. Not what I remember Straw Hat being like years ago. This last time we got a large and a medium. Medium was SO dry and overcooked you couldn't even recognize cheese or that it had bacon on it. Haven't received any notifications or food. Tried calling bruh but and also the restuarant. Found out restaurant doesn't deliver through grub hub. Tried over and over to call restaurant. First of all let me say the customer service there is amazing everyone especially my dear great friend Nydia makes you feel absolutely welcomed, everytime I go in Nydia puts a big smile on my face and makes me feel right at home which I love! The service is fast and the food is always cooked to perfection.
