Strawberry soda over strawberry sherbet. & strawberry vanilla twist

This little shop is so dang cute when you walk up, it's on the main strip in Carlsbad. The menu is almost overwhelming, so many yummy strawberry treats to choose from. We had an older gentleman helping us out and he was very nice. We will be back.

This place doesn't just hit -- it slaps every single time. A friend put me onto Strawberry Shack years ago, and from that first bite it earned a permanent spot on my SoCal radar. Every visit feels familiar in the best way, like returning to something that never lost its rhythm. The fruit tastes like it was picked with intention. Fresh, bright, unapologetically good. The hospitality is effortless and genuine, the kind that doesn't need explaining. Simple, honest flavors done right, every single time. Now let's be real -- parking kinda sucks. With the Starbucks next door closed, finding a spot turns into a small endurance test. You'll circle, you'll sweat it out, and you might question if it's worth it. It is. Once you finally step up to the window, grab the strawberry pineapple Dole Whip. Cold, smooth, and wildly refreshing. The kind of reward that makes the parking headache disappear after the first bite. Some places fade over time -- this one stays rooted, sweet, and worth the effort

I need to leave one star because I wasn't able to try it. Want to know why? They literally had only us in line and we got no acknowledgment and had the come back in 30 minute sign shoved in our face. We were the only ones left? And how rude to not at least acknowledge us and tell us you need to restock. She literally served the other ppl 2 minutes before us? Check my picture. You can literally see the people who got served right before it was our turn to get to the window. And they were like wow when they saw that they did that to us. So for now... strawberry shack... do better.

Strawberry shack shake tastes good, if a little ordinary

Came here and got the signature strawberry shack shake. It tasted good but not really special - pretty much what you would expect of a combination of strawberry and yogurt. There looked to be some other syrups or chocolate swirled on the sides of the cup but I couldn't really taste it. If I came back I would probably try the strawberry lavender sundae instead because it seems more unique. Service was good - the lids they had were kind of weird shaped and didn't fit on the cups, but the woman at the counter told us that beforehand and apologized for the inconvenience. The shack itself has a kind of cute nostalgic look, with little strawberry themed toys and a Beatles poster. No seating though!

What an adorable roadside strawberry shack. This place definitely has curb appeal. So cute and what a fun walk up shop.I could easily see the line at this place getting long. We got there just before closing. So we weren't able to try everything, but it is so good that we cannot wait to go back tomorrow. Things we didn't get to try tonight. Were ice cream and the whipped cream?Because they had just run out when we got there. And it takes fifteen minutes to make as they make this right there in house. Even without the whipped cream, our stuff was amazing. We tried the strawberry key lime pie, dole whip pineapple, dole whip pineapple strawberry swirl, and strawberry shortcake, I definitely missed having whipped cream on this, but it was still so good!! With their own house made angel food cake. Wow!!!! Its was so light, sweet and gooood! The strawberry was very sweet and sneak a little dole whip in their it is AMAZING! ILL BE BACK!

Good spot to test out some local strawberry themed products. The Strawberry Shack Shake as a refreshing drink on a warm day. The shake was not overly sweet and tasted fresh. Next time I'd like to try the chocolate covered strawberries. The employees were friendly and the service was quick.

The cutest little dessert spot that has everything strawberry based deserts. I ordered their chocolate strawberries which were super delicious, and I also tried their strawberry shake which was to die for!

Excellent spot to stop in for a quick strawberry snack while you cruise around downtown Carlsbad! They have chocolate covered strawberries, sundaes, shakes and more! They also have Dubai chocolate! It's always busy but they move fast and the wait isn't bad at all! The name Strawberry Shack is super fitting as it is literally a tiny little shack! Lol It's super cute, excellent location and overall brilliant idea!

Strawberry Shack is located near the large Carlsbad sign over a street that is seen in many photos of Carlsbad. As implied by the name, it a shack where you order all types of desserts or drinks that are strawberry flavored. You order from one window and receive the order from the other. There are two standing tables to enjoy the strawberry treat. I got the bowl of strawberry and strawberry shake. Both were reasonably priced with a great portion size. The homemade whipped cream was a great addition to both. I preferred the shake over the bowl of strawberries, which tasted sour on its own. Service was friendly but a bit awkward. When I asked the staff for recommendations, they couldn't really explain the options in any sort of detail. It looked like they were perplexed that I even asked these types of questions. Nonetheless, they were quick in the delivery. Overall, Strawberry Shack employs a very unique concept and is good to visit at least once.

such a cute little dessert shop they have a wide variety of different strawberry treats. We opted for the strawberry crumb cake and it was delicious. The owner is so nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Cute dessert stand with no seating and no restrooms, it's just an order and pick-up window with a couple high tables to stand and eat your treats (though we took it to the beach which was just a few minutes away on foot). Service was standard. It's worth noting, they serve TINY portions foodwise, or they were just incredibly shady on this day and ripped ME off specifically. The strawberry shortcake (with no whipped cream) and strawberry cheesecake topped off with chocolate shards were delish, not super unique but still satisfying in terms of taste. The strawberry lemonade was good too, sweet and refreshing. I wasn't a fan of the vanilla custard base in the milkshake though, I guess I just prefer them made the old fashioned way (or I got a bad batch). For a strawberry shake, it lacked sweetness, too. Overall, I still liked this spot, especially as a strawberry lover, even if the snacks were miniature sized (made for elves) and not the best value.

Coordination was strictly through email for contracts and any questions. It was a bit confusing to understand the serving size and what we were looking for even though we asked for clarification. We decided to go with Handel's as our dessert as I had experienced their catering at another wedding I attended. At that wedding, they ran out of ice cream before the bride and groom could get their share. Therefore, I was worried about us running out. What I wished I did when deciding what serving size to choose was look at the Google Reviews for the location, because so many people said the serving size is huge! Those folks are correct! When Handel's came onsite, the medium serving was more than enough for our guests and I feel like we could have downsized to small serving and folks could have tried the multiple flavors we had gotten. I will also say since I've only tried Handel's once at the wedding I attended, choosing the flavors can be difficult since there isn't a description of the flavors on their website. I would suggest if you are considering Handel's for your event to try the different in-person. Luckily for us, we loved the flavors we chose of blueberry cheesecake, dulce de leche, vegan mango, and watermelon ice. (We are located in NorCal and the closest Handel's location is a bit away from us.) Other than that, overall the experience was great and we were happy with the service!

BROCCOLI. and after taking one bite, i learned that broccoli could, in fact, be life changing. suddenly i was a new woman. a woman who wanted nothing more than to sit there and stuff her face with massive amounts of broccoli. unfortunately, i couldn't because we still had dishes to taste. and so i moved on to the pork belly. when people describe something as "melting in your mouth," they are specifically referring to Campfire's pork belly. because that's exactly what it did. just melted all up in my mouth and lit my taste buds on fire. normally, i find pork belly prepared this way a little heavy and can only stomach a few bites, but i could have eaten the entire dish. but of course i didn't, because i'm a lady. and the octopus was about to show up. and show up it DID. i don't like celery, and this dish had plenty of it, but because it was shaved super thin, it was actually super palatable. the octopus was incredibly tender, and there were little bits of chorizo throughout that gave it the perfect balance. also, love me a good chimichurri sauce. and finally, last but truly not least, the chicken. a whole ass half bird, charred to perfection with roasted red pepper, kumquat, and fennel. apparently i like fennel now??? i didn't even know i liked fennel like that, but here we are. if i hadn't already been stuffed to the absolute brim, i could have destroyed this entire dish. the chicken was juicy and tender, and paired with the fennel, you're almost like just having a healthy dish??? LOL. although we went in with every intention of ending the night with s'mores, our bodies simply said no. there was no more room at the inn. see what i did there :P so instead, we left and went on a very long walk to digest all the delicious goodness that was Campfire. i cannot wait to go back. mostly for the broccoli, which is a sentence i never thought i'd write in my life. and this time, i will absolutely be making a reservation.
