Well, I wish I had great things to say, but... So I chose this place for my sons birthday and my other son was coming up from Cincy who had never been here. I wanted it to be a really special dinner out & I must say, it really wasn't. First, our server who on the receipt goes by Yeager Bomb (?) was outstanding! Personable, knowledgeable & efficient. 3 of 4 steaks were to be prepared med and for sure were med rare. She asked if we wanted to send them back, but opted not be complainers and figured our leftovers would be reheated anyhow. They used balsamic glaze as a fancy drizzle under the filets which was not mentioned and if you don't like balsamic, that's a bad idea! Chopped parsley around the edge of the plate would be a better idea, but the glaze changes the whole flavor which one guest did not eat her steak because of that and went home in a takeout box. I added scallops to my steak which were nice & tender, but they were very salty & served with no lemon. The bearnaise came out broken, not creamy at all. The sides: Mac & cheese was really good. Scalloped potatoes were super dry! Pierogis also, super dry :( Would not order either of these again! The salads: no complaints about the Caesar. The house salad had a lot of dressing which was overbearing. Should've asked for it on the side :( The server explained the Edwin salmon dish was being prepared differently, she said fine, but took practically the whole thing as takeout so I'm not sure if she just didn't like it and didn't want to say. The other entrees were The Stripper which was the only steak that was a true medium and the Shugartit which the steak was presented in slices and more like med rare-rare. He ate it bringing half home.The dinner for 2 came with a dessert which I had the birthday boy choose & asked for it in a takeout. She didn't mention the complimentary cake for his birthday and didn't ask if we wanted to have it there and just assumed we wanted it boxed up which was a bummer because we would've all enjoyed sharing that. Instead, both desserts went home with the birthday boy and 3 of us stopped at Mitchell's for ice cream on our way home. Overall take on this experience: good quality steaks while not cooked to temp & we had a good server. Cons: well you read the review. It will not be my suggestion again for a special night out. Leftovers were wonderful as well. The sides we shared were the brussels sprouts and baked potato as well as a spinach salad. Big enough to share for sure! I was shocked to find that I've never reviewed Strip before. All I can think is that I've been so blown away by the food that I'm simply too overwhelmed to type. That sounds like hype, but Strip is easily the best steak we've ever had. Husband has ordered the Tomahawk Waygu steak. It's huge and expensive ($88) but worth it. He gets the Big Daddy rub which is lemon and salt. It's so much flavor. We loved our lobster cakes, gruyere Mac and cheese, and the pretzel bread they serve. Everything is so delicious. GREAT night!! I can't give that 5th star because the double bone-in filet was overcooked twice. Our bartender JEN was excellent and our server MIKE was also very good/friendly/knowledgeable! Because I ordered with the skillet finishing on my steak, and because the brussel sprouts were also charred as they were meant to be - my pic was NOT attractive, especially for a $90 plate haha... This summer I went for a meeting with a financial company salesman and about 20 other consumers like me, to this steakhouse. I have to say the meal was underwhelming. Now I am guessing by all the other reviews is that our food was below par because we were not paying customers. Service was lacking and unfriendly personnel. Choices were of course limited and you did not have to option to swap one side for another. So, for this review I have to rate them poorly. Beautiful decor - very relaxing environment. Great bar seating on first floor and intimate dining upstairs which is also open to the kitchen. Chefs table on first floor in front of kitchen is nice in concept but in practice needs to be a high top in order to really see the show. Also pretty loud sitting there so conversation beyond those sitting next to you not really an option. Plenty of parking in center available. Decent wine selection and cocktails. Staff very friendly and generally attentive. Make sure to check out the specials and the add ons. Lobster bisque is worth a trip on its own - delicious. House salad with white balsamic, spring greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and parm on point. On to the steaks - the 6oz filet while very tender - suffered from the issue that it is too small to easily cook MR. Mine was much closer to medium unfortunately. So while the dinner for 2 is a bargain as you get salad or soup, 6oz steak, 2 sides and dessert. I'll go work spitting the 22 oz ribeye or the 12 oz filet. One of our table ordered the ribeye center/filet/Strip special - 15oz. That was perfectly cooked and very tender ans delicious. As to sides - we had 6 - lobster penne (not a big hit), Perogies- prefer crispier and not as much filling - a bit doughy, scallop potatoes - good, house veggie mix - good, broccoli - perfectly cooked, cabbage - good. The cabbage and the penne were also complementary at the chefs table. At chefs table we were given 2 complementary apps - the French dips (delicious) and shrimp cocktail - also good. Also had 2 desserts - peanut butter chocolate cake and the chocolate mouse (tuxedo) cake. Both good and more than large enough to share at the table. All in all a good night! read more

We went on a Friday night and the house was packed but we got to our table really quick. Loved the vibes of the restaurant and the decor. Staff was amazingly friendly, if you're lucky you'll get Brittany. Amazing server and honestly guided us to the best appetizers and sides. Felt like we were at a family gathering. We ordered the Cowboy and 6 oz. filet medium rare. Both steaks were amazing. Scalloped potatoes and Mac & Cheese hit the spot. We had enough food for 4 people. My friend and I were blown away by the delicious food and outstanding service! We sat at the bar and Carl took excellent care of us. We had a view of the kitchen, which was really cool to watch, and Mike, the seafood chef, convinced us to get scallops as an appetizer. Brought my parents out for a dinner out while visiting from NY and they couldn't say enough about the amazing food we ate here. We went to Strip to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. We were sat right away and the dining room was decorated beautifully. Our server greeted us promptly. He went through the menu and gave us an overview which was nice since none of us had ever been, but it was kind of long and he talked a lot. The timing of the drinks and meal was so off. Took a long time to get drinks and it took our server a while to get back and take another drink order while our drinks were clearly empty. The saving grace is that the food was mostly good. The lobster bisque was cold but tasty nonetheless. Loved the pretzels as bread but would've been nice to get it earlier on. The food came out right on top of each other. I literally hadn't finished my soup when the mains and sides came. It was overwhelming. The steak was good. The prices were also good. But the timing of the meal was just so off I can't give more than 3 stars. Then our server asked for feedback which I thought was weird and we gave feedback about the timing and then he wouldn't stop talking and defending himself. Don't ask for feedback if you don't want it. We were there for 3.5 hours and simply did not need to be there that long. I dont really get the hype and wouldn't rush back unless I was in the area. We (6 of us) enjoyed amazing meals in celebration of a 50th birthday. Our server, Walter, was attentive but not intrusive. He was very personable without being over the top. After we had all finished eating, he boxed up the leftovers, collected all the dirty dishes, and wiped the table of spills. When he returned from the kitchen, he brought a birthday cake, a whole cake, not just a slice, for all of us to share. We were pleasantly impressed by the atmosphere in the upstairs dining room. Though it seemed to be pretty full, the tables were separated by movable cloth dividers so that you felt separated from other groups, and not like you were involved in others conversations. The service was also quite good, albeit a little slow given they appeared to be under staffed. Cons - everything was cold, literally everything. The mixed vegetables appeared to be heated frozen veggies and were very wet. The pretzel bread was quite hard. The bananas foster cheese cake was ok, but the bananas and caramel was not cooked or brûléed in any fashion resulting in an odd texture. I reviewed "The Strip" before Covid. Gave it five stars. It was great. We finally came out of our covid shells a birthday dinner last Friday. Everyone was satisfied with their meal except me. Our great waiter suggested medium for my steak, I usually prefer med. well. My Wagyu steak arrived rare, I asked for it to go back and some more cooking. It came back a little better, I ended up taking more than half of it home. Looking at in the light of day, I'd have to say, if that steak spent one minute on each side on the grill it was lucky. I could see that the meat only started to turn color about 1/16" in from each side. It was like who ever was cooking was not paying any attention to the time it was on the grill cooking. Instead of the 6oz filet, I was going big... I was getting the 12oz. However, Al/Hawk Eye did try his best to encourage us to get the Australian Wagyu whatever the hell... The thing is, I don't like fatty meats. As a result, the mention of Wagyu is a waste of time to me. And since my wife (who recommended we go to Strip) doesn't eat steak (yeah, I know...), the mention of any steak is a waste of time. So she got the Sea Bass and a cocktail. I had the 12oz Filet and a couple beers. We ordered 2 sides to share (bourbon creamed corn and steak fries). I tried the garlic butter and the boilermaker seasoning (recommended by Al/Hawk Eye) and a side of the horseradish cream sauce. Were we to go back, I'd forgo the butter and seasoning and just stick w/ the sauce. I'd also get the corn again but not the steak fries as they were overcooked and kinda tough to eat. However, those were the only negatives. Service was good. The staff was incredibly friendly. As someone else mentioned, they had a card for us at our table to wish us a happy anniversary - which I thought was incredibly kind. We finished off our meal w/ a crème brûlée - Danielle's favorite. In the end, I paid just under $200 (w/ tip) for our meal. Was it worth it? It must have been. When Danielle asked if I'd go back for a special occasion, I told her I would.
