There's a little something for everyone; the health conscious, those looking for comfort food, and kids. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive and the food prepared to the customer's liking the first time (which is huge, given one of the people in our party, who is very particular about how he likes his burgers). For a fancy restaurant on the Waterside, the food is not exceptional but it is good. It's the kind of food I'd be impressed with at a little dingy restaurant, but not at one this expensive. However, the food was good and the French fries were actually delicious. I got the Po Boy sandwich and wish I had gotten the fried shrimp in some other form. The shrimp was very good, but in a hoagie with some lettuce just wasn't the best delivery. BUT I already know the bang bang shrimp here is BOMB. So get that if you come! read more

This was my first time visiting and I love it! I went for restaurant week and had a 3 course meal for $35. House salad, bronze Salmon, and chocolate cake for dessert. I came here for a graduation dinner with 13 people and Immediately got us a seat and I was pretty impressed. The staff is nice and friendly and the food was very fast. The Orista Rockefeller was my favorite appetizer. Y'all should try the ruby relaxer if you're able enough to drink it's very relaxing. I do have to say that the fish tacos were subpar compared to the other dishes and it lacked flavor. I wish it was more grilled and fried because it loses the fishy taste to it. My fiancée and I stopped by yesterday for lunch to start our staycation. This was our first time at the new waterside, we were impressed. Stripers offers a nice view of the river while you eat or drink outside, perhaps both. We both got the crab cake sandwich. It was good, a lot less filler that I was expecting. Which is great! Ive seen some reviews mention the seasoning. Hard to explain the taste of a crab cake sandwich, it's fairly straight forward. Not over or under seasoned. Service was good, we did enter during a weekday lunch. So it was not busy at all. I imagine Friday & Saturday nights are off the chain. There are decent beers to choose from. My mom and I loved the service here- the staff was very friendly and we received our food promptly. The only thing I didn't like was the she-crab soup. While in town on business and staying at the Marriott Waterside our group chose this restaurant due to proximity to hotel and we wanted seafood. We dined outside which was so enjoyable on this summer evening with a light breeze blowing at sunset. Nice views of the water. I was disappointed that the menu didn't have more fresh offerings like oysters or fresh grilled fishes, it was more of a fried or steamed seafood type of place. I settled on the Stripers Seafood bowl which was very good, great spices. The cocktail menu has some unique offerings so I tried the Cranberry Moscow Mule which I felt the cranberry flavoring was underwhelming, like perhaps it was watered down with too much ginger beer. I recently visited Stripers waterside for my daughter's graduation dinner and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow, with one of our servers taking an unreasonably long time to take our orders and bring our food out. When the food finally did arrive, it was lackluster at best. One of my guest's steaks was overcooked and dry. $56 for a steak. You expect it to be up to par. Not to mention, we were told we needed a limited menu for the size of our party and the manager stated she didn't want my party waiting over an hour for our food. We still waited about an hour for our food. However, they were out of items on the menu we created a week or two prior. (Apparently they found out at 1pm the delivery truck was not coming. My reservation was for 6pm. I arrived at 4:50pm to set up the area) No one informed us of this until my guests began to order. I arrived an hour prior to my reservation time for them to inform me. We could make alterations to the menu, to better accommodate my guest , but they failed tremendously. I prepared this dinner reservation three weeks prior to the reservation date and was in contact with this establishment weekly to ensure everything would be set up to my standards and it was not. ( we discussed the set up of the space and I was told it would be fine, yet I did not provide the set-up I wanted) I visited the establishment in Person twice to view the party rooms and decided to go with the open area because it didn't require a minimum limit to spend to utilize the space. The restaurant was not busy as they expected it to be due to the wine festival in the same area. The service could have been 100x better. The manager took 20% off. I feel it wasn't enough, since she lacked communication and my party of 30 people were not served to match the Overall, I would not recommend Stripers waterside to anyone with a large party. The poor service, low-quality food, and unpleasant atmosphere made for an incredibly disappointing dining experience. read more

Delicious food and friendly service. My husband and I have been here twice and both times the staff is very attentive and their margaritas are so good. Our food took so long, my husband had forgotten what he had ordered. I ordered a seafood platter. I was told when placing my order they were out of scallops, so I asked for extra oysters. Well, it turned out they were out of that too. I got a crab cake to replace the scallops and oysters (which i was looking for go both). Meh. I ended up at Striper's based on a last minute recommendation from a friend. My fiancé and I ordered the crab dip and it was divine! The dip was piping hot and we thoroughly enjoyed the bread for it. My fiancé ordered the crab cake sandwich with French fries. I ordered the seafood pasta (which included mussels, shrimp and scallops) and it was incredibly flavorful! We also enjoyed a lot of the seasonal drinks and those were delicious. We will be returning in a couple weeks because we can't stop talking about our visit! read more

Oh I wish I could give negative 10 stars bc this restaurant is completely garbage it was my first time there and trust me I'd never recommend this place to anyone. Where do I start? The food took 2 hours to get to our table, it was cold and nasty when it got to us. The servers never came back to the table to check on us nor communicate to us why our food was taking so long nor did they refill our drinks or ask us if we wanted drink refills so we had to go to the bar and order drinks. The manger didn't get her name however she was working Sat May 21st at night she was horrible. Deplorable to say the least. She never came over until I had to ask her to come over. We were sitting there just dry waiting for our food for over an hour. She barely did anything to compensate us and she also charged us 20% Grat on our checks. The restaurant knew we had a big party of 30 coming, we paid a deposit it was piss poor on their end to not have set up their restaurant for success tonight. Gratuity is given to those deserved of it. No one in that restaurant deserved gratuity at all. I highly recommend whomever owns this establishment get better servers, cooks, bartenders and managers bc you're going to keep running into this issue. I was out with my family and we decided to try Stripers given the positive reviews, and our experience couldn't have been much worse (food wise). Between us, we had the following: 12 oz steak (low quality meat with a lot of fat/gristle) - Lobster Taco's (lobster meat was great, but was very watered down in some mixture) in addition to the tortilla's being soggy - Crab bucket, which honestly looked like something that would be served at a bad chain restaurant. Lastly was my youngest daughters popcorn shrimp and fries off the kids menu - this was probably the best thing we got unfortunately and represented ~$8 of our $120+ bill. Had an event here and this place is fantastic for groups! Clean classic decor and the food was fantastic. I had steak which I was particularly worried about because it was my first time here but I was impressed. My steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I also had the calamari and it was light, crispy and tender. Dessert was also fantastic we had chocolate cake with a light frosting and that too was perfect. The cake was light and moist and simply divine. The prices are a little high but... it is on the waterfront with great views of the harbor and passing boats so it'd be the perfect place for a fabulous date night on the waterfront. read more

It was a big deal during 2000-2010 is times. Sugar everywhere. But people are more aware on sugary stuff now. We dont see big long lines in front of Mc Donalds or Dunkin Donuts anymore. World is changing. Consciously evolving. Tastes are changing for the benefit of mankind itself. Its no longer the case that the drinks have to be extremely sugary to taste good. Loose the unnecessary usage of sugar. Why do you even need sugar in a cucumber based refreshment drink? Its too basic. All the drinks (excluding the beers which you dont have control over) are horrible. A supposingly good restaurant on waterside gave me my food with a tomato ketch up bottle. Really? Is your chef that lazy to make some sauce that you have to give me a cheap grocery store tomato ketch up? Really?? Food was okay. Presentation needs lot of work. Show some passion for the food as if you are eating it, being a chef and a food lover. People come to waterside to visit from all over the world. Respect them. The other table next to us also complained to the manager while we were there for poor quality drinks and food. The manager lacks leadership and order. If your restaurant isnt prepared to reopen and offer guests quality service just don't. It took 30 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation and confirmed twice. It took another 30 minutes to get appetizers and water. Never asked if we wanted drinks. We arrived at 7 and got our food at 9 pm. Just a really bad experience. Shout out to our waiter, Niko. He was knowledgeable about the menu and super personable. Good vibes all around. We ordered Calamari as an appetizer. My boyfriend got the Crab Cake Sandwich as his meal and I ordered the Creamy Shrimp and Grits. Everything was delicious (and good to look at)! Walked in to a beautiful friendly face ( hostess / hot blonde) , was seated immediate, shortly after heather greeted me and took my order with a smile . Ordered that lobster Mac and cheese , the presentation was different , it was delicioussssss! Then I moved on to the crab cake sandwich, which was good. And I had to go the apple crisp. Boring menu that is way overpriced! Lame atmosphere; came in for a late lunch and most of the staff was sitting at the tables and bar. They had The Offspring blaring on a crackling speaker coming from the bar. The music definitely did not match the scene. There were only two other tables and the staff did not look at all happy about getting out of their seats to wait on us. They gave us kid menus that had coloring activities but they didn't have crayons or pencils so the kids got to stare at an activity page with no way to complete it. An appetizer of Brussel Sprouts costs $15 and was the cheapest thing on the menu. Once we got settled and waited for our server to take our order... we soon decided to get up and try somewhere else.
