.Throughout our process clean out our fully stuffed garage closet, Studebaker Storage was so flexible and lovely I couldn't believe it! Showing me the various sizes of storage units so I would see my choices and reserving two sizes so we would get exactly what was right for us! It turned out that my husband sent so much to Goodwill and discarded so much that we ended up not needing a storage unit at all! Yet the staff at Studebaker Storage was completely lovely about this and almost lauded our success. We will definitely use them for future storage and recommend them to all our friends! My wife and I were so lucky to find Studebaker Self Storage! We had been planning as usual on leaving our trailer at Leisure World during a visit to my mom's. Surprisingly, Leisure World changed their rules and we had to find a place to store our trailer for our visit. Studebaker Self Storage is within 3 miles of Leisure World, easy to get to and a quick jump on the freeway back to Leisure World. Their prices are very reasonable and Marc is a great customer service person! Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! We will rent a space here again on our next visit. read more

Do not try and store your RV or any large vehicle in this lot. First, their spaces are too narrow to navigate a 27+ long vehicle, their driving isles are way to narrow to back our of a site with any safety margin. We began storing our 27 foot RV there 3 years ago and all was fine until we moved up to a 31 foot RV. The manager at that time tired to put us between a large trailer and an even larger RV. With our mirrors out, we had about 6 inches on each side to navigate back out. When I said that it was too tight the reply was "it isn't any big deal." My reply, "Yes it is, if I rip off the side of my RV." We were then put next to the large power poles with the warning that we might have to move. 2 months passed, a new manager arrived and we were told we had to move. It wasn't clear in the message whether we were going to another spot or move over. Given our history, we elected to leave the site. Of course, they told us no refund for the month. In a nutshell, I was happy to leave since they couldn't guarantee a safe spot for my RV. Find another location for large vehicle storage, don't even attempt to use Studebaker Self Storage. read more

This place is a nightmare! First year we were there, the unit leaked water all over everything. Wrecked a lot of stuff including paperwork and my husbands classic key board. We moved every box but a few heavy things across the parking lot. Took over 3 days. Several years later our unit is infested with mice and rats. We informed them that it looked like we had rats in our unit. They threw out bait in the unit and we came back 10 days later to a even worse situation. They told us we could move our stuff again across the parking lot again and I told them that they needed to help us move it. Well they do not do that was the response we got. I would give this place a minus 10 for stars. They are extremely expensive and your stuff gets wrecked. Also as I was sweeping rat poop out a mouse came running out in front of the guy that managed it. Do not rent from them. Worst storage place in Southern California! read more

Quite possibly top 5 worst experiences (customer service wise). To start, the manager Gilbert is a total salesman. He told me everything I wanted to hear so he could collect his $200 and pass go. I needed a place to store my boat and the location makes it ideal. Which is why I didn't mind paying twice as much for their monthly fees. All was good until the first night I went to drop off my boat after being on the water all day. When I got there I was surprised to see it was closed. I guess they close at 6pm during the week. It was around 6:15 when I showed up and I could see that the manager was still there. I called their number and got a service call center. They said there was nothing they could do to help me, that the gates were closed. Just as I hung up the phone in frustration, I was pleased to see that friendly manager that was so happy to collect my $200. But this time he wasn't smiling. He asked me what I was doing, then said for a nice cash tip, he would let me through the gates. Disgusted, I replied by asking if I could just keep it in front of the office and return in the morning to move it. He didn't seem to like that response and mumbled something as he sped off in his lowrider Chevy truck. A real class act. I actually found a storage unit (Storage Outlet Bellflower) that is bigger, cheaper, and open 24 hours. They also offer free water to wash my boat, free ice and free air for my tires! Should have gone there from the beginning. read more

Not to be trusted. Manager Gilbert, refused to refund the insurance premium after proof of insurance was provided. Gilbert also is hostile and refused to give corporate information or supervisors name and contact. Buyer beware. This behavior accrued over an insurance premium, what would happen when a real issue comes up. read more

I used this place to store my RV and when I moved I rented a storage unit. This is perhaps the cleanest storage facility around. There is a full time maintenance guy that is extremely helpful if you need anything at all. The location is ideal for RV storage and I felt my property was always secure and safe. read more

You can't beat this location. This place is literally 30 seconds from the freeway onramp and it is easy to get to. I have used several storage places in the past that are two stories and sometimes difficult to navigate down and through long hallways. Studebaker Storage is so easy. You pull your car right up to the storage unit and unload. Sean and the front desk was very helpful and professional. Thumbs up all around! read more

I use this facility because it is close to my house. The staff is helpful and friendly. It is expensive. I have two complaints. I think they should give you a remote so you don't have to get out of your car to open the gate. Secondly, access to your storage unit is very limited. you can't get in after 4:45 on business days so if you work regular hours you are pretty much restricted to the weekends. They are also closed on holidays which is when I have time to move things in and out of my unit. What's worse is that when I checked there web sight to see if they were open today, there hours were listed and in green print it said "open now". So I drove down but they were NOT open now instead there was a sign that said "closed for the 4th of July." read more
