The first time I went in Ramnik was very helpful, friendly and even though it was a bit past the cut-off for notary services, he graciously and quickly took care of me. The second time I went in, the other Notary was not available, and I was in a big hurry to get this done. Well the clerk said he could see if Ramnik could come in, on his day off, to help me. Well, within about 15min he drove to a nearby coffee shop where we met and took care of the paperwork. Sent 3 packages over a month ago Internationally and received a call yesterday saying that one had just been returned. Two of the packages had the exact same contents, and were going to two similar addresses in the UK, however one became undeliverable. After asking why that had happened, I received a run-around answer and no helpful solutions from the staff. The packages were going to Talent and thus were time sensitive and very important they arrived at the same time. Furthermore, for gift wrapping 3 small packages, sending 2 of those internationally and 1 locally, it was over $200. I ended up shipping out the returned package myself yesterday afternoon and after 1 day, it is already almost to its UK destination without a problem. I would NOT recommend their shipping services to anyone - and I'm sure there are many more gift wrapping services available in the area at a much cheaper price. read more

Sent time sensitive material via fedex which was delayed 1 day in Memphis. I called Fedex and spoke directly to their revenue department. I was told it qualifies for their money back guarantee but that Studio City Mailboxes must call. When I called Michelle I was accused of making this story up. She refused to pursue a refund. She claims she will call Fedex to confirm her side of the story that she was right and we were wrong. So if you want to face time sensitive material getting lost and no compensation, this is the place for you. read more

This place is not to be trusted, the new staff does not return calls or emails. I have had countless issues with missing mail or mail put into the wrong box and refoxwarded to me when it clearly is not my name or box number. DO NOT RENT A BOX HERE! They do not care about their customers! read more

Do NOT get your PO box here. After weeks of receiving no mail, even direct pieces exclusive of my forward, the staff was both clueless and unhelpful. They blamed the post office and the post office said, "They always do this to us." I inquired three times and not once did someone look into it or even ask what box it was. Each time was a shrug of the shoulders. Today I finally complained about the lack of effort to research and the boss/owner Andy came out of the back SCREAMING at me. A woman. In public. He then said, "We can close it right now and give you your money back." I said, "Sure, do that." A second later he said, "No she signed a contract, don't give her her money back LET HER SUFFER." In 2012 I rated them five stars. Now only two stars. They seemed to have let the male employees go and now there are new women working there. No gender issues with me. The guys, Antonio and Eric were helpful and on it and are gone. The employees that are working there now seem to be unenthusiastic and don't seem to really care what's going on. Just had a ridiculous experience where they refused to confirm (by notarization) that a copy of my utility bill was IN FACT a copy, as they didn't understand why I needed it. Not really need to know if my bank and attorney ask me to do it. Always thought the notaries job was to notarize and not to be attorneys?! Add to that a recent gross overcharge for packing a laptop in a box and you have a catastrophic recipe for customer service disaster. There are plenty of other options within spitting distance. I suggest you spit and go to one of those. 2 strikes was enough. read more

Incredible rip-off artists at this shop. They overcharge massively for shipping. And they've been doing it for years. They did it to me years ago, and they did it to me recently. I went there again and trusted them because I thought it was new ownership. Either way, terrible business. Stay away. Last time they ripped me off, I called UPS to complain. UPS said there were multiple accounts at that address with unpaid bills, but there was nothing they could do about it. Just go to the post office next door. My Wife & I have maintained a Private Mail Box at Studio City Mailboxes and More for many years. It is a nice feeling to know that there is a responsible & well organized organization to handle our personal & business mail and packages. The service that notifies us by email or text, when we receive packages is awesome, saves us time wondering when our packages will be arriving. They have many notaries on staff so I know where I can always count on getting a notary. The guy(s) and girl, that work there are friendly and efficient. I think that some of negative reviews (only a couple most are positive) that reference not paying bills or bad service were meant for another similarly named mailbox store in the same area, as I have only found the staff to be courteous and professional. I've had a box here for years. I'm always happy to go in, I love talking to the staff, they're quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. They all know me and my girlfriends name and greet us everytime, and start walking back to collect our packages before we even open the mailbox. Sending out is a easy peasy, EVEN around the holidays. I have had a mailbox in this location for several years. Very rarely have I gone into this place during the busiest of times and not received great service when needed. I can rely on text and emails to verify deliveries and this is a great help since I do a relatively active amount of ordering online. The location is great. It is located next to the USPS as a pro, and a potential con is that parking can sometimes be a concern. But most of the time I am able to get in and out in very little time. So if you're looking for mailbox service in a great location with great service and a smile (most of the time), I recommend them highly. I was initially put off by some negative (pre-2011) reviews of rudeness, but this place has been fine and the help has been very friendly. It's more expensive to rent a PO box here than at the USPS next door, but they had larger boxes when USPS did not, and they can accept FedEx and UPS packages and send a text-message notification when things arrive. Access after hours is via electronic key, and there's always pleasant music playing when I get my mail at night. read more

Always helpful and friendly. They also accept pre-paid USPS packages, which they make no money on. Many other places charge at least $1 to drop-off a pre-paid USPS box. There is usually no line here, which is also a definite plus. read more

Normally this is a business that functions effectively and efficiently. I don't mind the higher cost of their service assuming that they didn't fall apart at the seams and not deliver mail at all because they were too busy making money wrapping Christmas gifts. This is the third time this week they simply haven't delivered mail because as they say - they are understaffed to support the holiday rush. WATCH OUT!!! They completely mislead their customers & lie to them about their fees & what it actually costs to ship out packages using Fedex, UPS, or USPS. They literally CHARGE DOUBLE the price. I was just told by them to ship my package via USPS my cheapest rate would be $14. The post office right beside them charged me $7 & my package will be delivered in one day. DOUBLE THE PRICES ON EVERYTHING IS SCREWED UP!!! Bad business for lying to me & not telling their customers their rates are significantly higher than just "a couple bucks". The manager should have tried to work something out with me or at least apologized for me being to lied to when I signed up with them but she did neither. She claims she charges everyone so much more to keep her business running but double the price & horrible customer service aren't going to help her business stay around at all. I live near Hollywood, but drive all the way to Studio City Mailboxes because it is a much better experience than going to the post office here. It's faster and more enjoyable. Recently, I sent a poster to my client and the poster was ruined by the time it reached my client. So I went back to Studio City Mailboxes, told them what happened and showed them a picture. Because the damage was essentially their fault, they generously shipped it again for me, this time using a more appropriate shipping method. I am so grateful for their excellent customer service. Horrible experience! My daughter in law sent international package from this place and it was returned few days after because staff in this place doesn't know how to properly file all these shipping documents! That package was succesfully deliverd by USPS with no questions! Fedex (package has been sent by Fedex) said we should get refund from this place but it's about 3 weeks we are waiting for answer from this business. No answer, no refund! Nothing! I was one of two people in the store and there were three people behind the counter but they told me to wait for the one guy who was talking to an obviously crazy wannabe actress for 10 min or so while I waited.... then they starting printing my documents to be signed by the notary and I asked if there would be a charge for printing and he put his thumb and index finger together like "not much" and I said well how much and it was going to be $15 for 15 pages black and white. i can only dream of how fun it would be to argue with them about lost packages. read more

I sent a client to the notary to get two identical documents notarized. It took not one, not two but three trips to have the documents correctly notarized. First time she didn't have witnesses sign even though there were two obvious spaces for witnesses nor did she include the notary acknowledgement page. On the second trip she told my client that only one document needed to be notarized. Three times a charm but never again. read more

I recently sent a package from here to New York. A couple of weeks later they called and said it was a return to sender. The address was correct and they gave no reason to what happened. The real reason for one star is because when I went to pick up the package the guy at the desk was just an ass. I waited in line behind one woman. After I walked in, another customer came in to pick up his mail. The guy at the front desk completely ignored me and got the other guy his mail. Then he walked outside to see a buddy of his and continued to spend 5 minutes working on the guys car stereo while I waited inside for service. He finally came back in and I got my package. Long story short, Ryan, Susan and the crew helped me in every way possible, including allowing me to store a large package at their facility for nearly a week while I resolved matters with the eBay buyer. The store is located next to the local US post office, so the competition must be fierce. I've done business at both places, I can honestly say that Mailboxes and More offers a much more personalized, "mom and pop" experience.
