Broken seats!! You pay a premium these days to go to the movies. When we arrived, our 2 seats had no power for reclining. The attendant barely attempted to fix it and the manager wouldn't even take a look at it. The theater was sold out and they asked us to come back later - BUT that didn't work for us. They told us to go the front desk for a refund, but the refund removed the cost of fees so I only got 85% of my ticket price back. No comp, no sorry, no nothing and you stole a few bucks from me! The service was on time and ready, but the pricing for food and drinks were over priced. The theater was clean and nice but the seating was not the best quality the recliner did not fulling recline and the trays connected to the chair were in the way. As well as the arm rest that separated you from your guess. I guess I compare this theater too much to ipic. read more

On my first visit to Studio Movie Grill, I would say that I had an ok time. If you are familiar with Cinepolis, SMG is the same exact concept--you get to the movie 20 minutes early so that you can order food from a server who brings it out either before or just at the beginning of the movie. However, the major difference here is that even though it is about $9-$10 for a popcorn or ICEE, you do not get unlimited refills. Granted, I know this isn't always a guarantee at every theater, but it would be nice to know that the extra $3 you pay compared to a normal theater is actually going towards something. Also, the reclining chairs at this theater are pretty stiff and don't recline as far back as you would like them to and for a dinner theater the tray table is tiny. As for the location, parking, and ambiance though, everything was great. The theater is located behind Sunset Walk in Margaritaville and there is ample parking, especially if you arrive for an early afternoon movie. read more

While on vacation in Orlando I was able to meet up with friends and go to see the Beyoncé movie. The drinks were brought to your seat if you chose that. Meals were also brought to your seat. The theaters are spacious and you get to pick your seats. Prices were reasonable I didn't feel that way about the price of the tickets. First time checking out the Studio Movie Grill. Located by Margaritaville in the Kissimmee Disney area. They offered 6 dollar discounts on movies on Tuesday and all the theaters offer food service to your seats. The seats themselves were in good shape and recliner style with an attendant button to call your server. The servers take your order and keep a card on file allowing you to run an open tab. I ordered the chicken nachos and a Pepsi. All drinks are served in a reusable hard plastic cup with no lid. One size...BIG. The nachos themselves arrived very quickly but had no chicken. I had to send them back to rectify the situation. They were about what you'd expect from movie nachos with a slight upgrade. I think though that I'd have to try something different next time. I was slightly concerned that the servers might distract from the movie but they had their stealth mode on and mercifully did not. The theater itself is clean, modern, a little dark in a cool way and offers a full bar. Definitely worth the value, and I'd definitely catch another movie here next time I'm in the area. read more

This theatre is very different from what you see at other theatres! We purchased the tickets online for Lightyear and when we arrived, we were greeted and they gave us instructions on how to order food (if we wanted to). We got to the theatre and it was well packed, servers were already running with the orders so we decided to dine in as well. We ordered and so everyone else did at the same time; our order arrived 30 minutes later (I recommend to order before the movie stars to avoid high waiting times) I got the BBQ cheddar burger and tbh I wouldn't ordered again, my boyfriend got the cheeseburger sliders and those were ok. I feel that menu prices are really expensive from what you really get in terms of flavor. Overall, it was a nice experience, we will be back but next time we'll just probably have appetizers. read more

Visited on a Saturday evening. I liked the facilities (for the most part) and the food was actually pretty good. The inside is very unique as far as movie theatres go, very trend with an upscale looking bar that has beer, wine and liquor. Seats were big, comfy and clean. Drinks were strong. However, I completely agree with other yelpers that say the service is lacking. First, when you walk in you encounter a bunch of computer screens to self pay for your tickets and order your food. On a Saturday evening, they only had one attendant in this area to help with purchases and you can't use the computer if you want to pay cash, so you have to wait for the attendant. The attendant was very flustered and exhausted. We kept having to repeat ourselves because she kept forgetting, I honestly felt bad that she was all by herself. The computer screens that you order at (or at least the one we were using) had horrible touch sensors and it was so hard to click on the things you wanted and the click would go on the wrong item, then it was so dang hard to remove the wrong item. They give you the option to have your food delivered 15 min before movie, at start of movie or 15 min after start. We chose 15 min after start. We were there quite early and wanted to use the restroom and get settled before eating. The food was deliver suuuuper early. We had barely sat down in our seats and the previews hadn't even started yet when the food arrived. The server didn't bring any utensils or napkins, and he was gone so quick we didn't even have a chance to ask for them. The design of the theatre is in a way that you don't really notice the servers coming in and out while the movie is playing and like I said, the seats are really nice. Liked the sound and screen quality as well. My suggestion is to improve service and don't overwork your employees. read more

Okay, here goes. The place was very pretty, clean, and it has flair about it. They have waiters and waitresses that bring your food and drinks to you in the theater. Yes, press a button and they come to your seat, take your order and deliver. Now, here's the only issue. There was a super annoying person two seAts to the left of us and she hit that button, oh- I don't know 5 times?! Couldn't place the order all at once really? Great movie experience. Decent ticket prices, and better food than most chain restaurants. Great service considering they're assisting in the dark. Social distancing is enforced and all those working had masks. Once we started eating, we took ours off. Enjoyed two entrees and popcorn. Most of the employees were rude, and we were overcharged for a popcorn flavoring we didn't even ask for. I went here for my birthday with my mom to see the new Beetlejuice. Movie itself was great but I was not impressed with the quality of food, service, or cleanliness.... Did not expect a high end dining experience or anything but when we got to our seats there were old french fries in the seat and cup holders. We had to ask 2 different staff members to come wipe down our tables before someone actually remembered. The drinks took about 20-30 min to arrive. We were one of the first to order food in the theater yet one of the last to get food. When we finally got it, the Buffalo chicken dip and mozzarella sticks were cold... still a good flavor but you could tell they'd been sitting out for a while. My honest recommendation is to eat before you come and grab a glass of wine at the bar before the movie starts. Then make sure to reorder another glass BEFORE yours is done. Now, this movie theatre may be average to some, but to this New Yorker, it was EVERYTHING!! I have not found a place like this in NY if there is one. Food, drinks, reclining seats AND a movie? How can it get any better? I also brought a blanket. Cost wise to me wasn't bad at all. We saw the Lost City with our girl, Sandra Bullock. It was a little corny at first, but it was one that your should watch. Lol. We were able to place our orders before the movie and during. The servers were great. I ordered a SMG burger with the works, but it came during the movie and was to dark to take a pic, but it was a delicious burger. Apps were wings, hub ordered the 3 cheese burger sliders and fries. Extremely positive experience here. Arrived early so we had a drink by the bar. Plenty of tables with a very spacious area. Bartender friendly and polite and appreciative of tip. Seating at theater is comfortable although seats could have reclined a bit more. Ordering is easy as you review the menu on your phone and - when ready - press a button on your pull around table and your server appears to take your order. My husband and I went to Studio Movie Grill yesterday to watch the "Elvis" movie. It was our first time at this type of "fork and screen" theater so we really didn't know what to expect. The lobby was sleek and modern looking (almost sterile) with a bank of automated ticket kiosks and a bar over on the side. Since ticket and food sales are only done via app or kiosk, there was not the usual smell of buttered popcorn in the air or movie posters anywhere. This had more of a hotel lobby vibe than a cinema. The actual theater we were in was TINY and only had four rows of reclining seats. We made the mistake of going on a Tuesday where ticket prices are slashed so the theater was full of reclining people eating pizza, popcorn, nachos, etc. We took our places in the front row but despite the seats ability to recline, we still had to crick our necks for almost three hours to see all the action on the screen. My husband and I agreed that after this experience, we are not fans of the "fork and screen" concept. Having servers continually buzzing around during the movie is distracting. (Though to be fair, the staff was nice enough and the facility looked quite clean.) I realize that this is the direction in which theaters in general will probably go. I'll just wait for movies to hit the streaming services instead. read more

Tip is included...it's dark and they stand right in front of you and yell while the movie is playing. Got a rose but I can taste it's been open a loonnnnggg time. I requested a cupcake Moscato and splash of starry... And the whole 22 year old bartender said "taste it before you leave so u don't come back and "refund" it.... FYI I am a 27 year veteran of bartender life. The ticket gentlemen was nice. The ticket lady was funny and great. But the service and drinks (please check your inventory) was not the price you charge. I wish I took a picture but the popcorn I returned because there was no oil or salt (I ripped a corner of the bag, for security) the bag came back just topped of with fresh popcorn but the bottoms was the same bag I marked... Watched a movie here during their discount Tuesday for around $5 or $6. Good experience with no majors problems. The seats are nice recliner ones and they are in good shape - movie theater looks new. The food is a little costly and I did not get any, but the food looked good and there were tons of waitstaff bringing food constantly and they seemed to be providing good customer service. If never been here before it located off a winding road behind Margaritaville resort off the main strip. Recommend use google driving directions on phone. When go in, just hop on one of the computer screens to buy tickets. Heads up you gotta pre-select your seats and it has restrictions on which seats you can pick. Recommend bring sweater and my neighbor had a blanket. read more

This was our first time and would surely return if we have the opportunity. We purchased everything on site but would consider prearrangements before arriving especially the big comfy seat choices. Enter the lobby to a full bar. Work your way into the theater where waiters and waitresses allow you full menu and bar choices, delivered just before or start of the movie. They check on you periodically and settle up before the credits. It was a really nice experiences and the bonus was the Movie Jamanji was excellent. read more

I have the SMG Monthly Access subscription where you can see up to 4 movies a month for $18.99, so i come to this location quite frequently. The theater, bathrooms, and bar area are always clean and it way less crowded than say the AMC at Disney Springs. Service at the bar area if you come early before your theater is open is good, but once you are in the theater it's definitely hit or miss. Sometimes it has been fast with no issues but other times they have forgotten items or to bring the check before the movie ends. Food is about average but they do have a pretty decent variety including the full bar. My favorites are the margarita flatbread, ahi tuna salad, and any of the burgers. They do also have drink and food specials on different days of the week which is nice. I would recommend buying your tickets online ahead of time to get the best seating and I think it's definitely a place to try out. read more

Had three people forget the popcorn I ordered, and they didn't have the flavor I wanted either, and when I asked about it, they brought me two flavors that I didn't ask for and charged me for both. Manager wouldn't help me either as they were "too busy." I also got yelled at by someone because I came in the theater "too early," despite showing my proof of purchase. I like the movies like anyone else but the service definitely needs to be more courteous. read more

Decided to try Studio Movie Grill this weekend for the first time, despite the current surprising lower rating. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Our viewing of Hobbs and Shaw was at 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon, so there were maybe 20 people in the theater. We previously bought our tickets online and arrived 20 minutes early, which gave us plenty of time to print our tickets from the multiple kiosks up front and order food ahead of time. The ladies at the front were extremely nice and helpful explaining the process and handing us a menu. The lobby includes a full bar and seating area as well as one of those automated beer dispensers where you scan your badge and it pours you a glass. There was also a door that led outside to additional seating so you could enjoy a drink before the show. Being a new theater, it was extremely clean and easy to navigate. All the theaters are off of the same hallway. As we entered and found our seats, our server Dylan came up and greeted us. The seats are fairly comfy and recline but they don't allow you to lean back too much. The seats include a tray that swivels toward you with a button to call your server. I will say I greatly appreciate the setup of some seats having 2 cupholders in 1, which is helpful if you want water with your main drink. The prices are decent with appetizers, entrees, and desserts ranging from $5-$20. We decided on the pretzel bites, ahi tuna bowl, and the southwest chicken salad. Dylan was super friendly and chit chatted with us when we placed our drink order and food order. That was about the last time we really saw him though because other servers and food runners brought everything else out, like our drinks, food, and check. Food Review and Suggestions: Pretzel bites - please don't coat them in oil or whatever you had, the cheese dipping sauce just slid right off and it tends to get super messy. Southwest Chicken Salad - was probably our favorite thing out of everything but you could tell the chicken was super salty, and avocados weren't fully ripe so they were hard as well. Ahi Tuna Bowl - I may be a bit picky but the tuna was decently cooked instead of just seared which I'm not a huge fan of. I also thought the slaw was a bit overkill.. I don't know, I was just expecting something different... but overcooking the tuna is like a well-done steak, just a bit disappointing Overall I would say it was a good experience. Everyone was really helpful and nice, and the food was alright, but I'd like to try something different next time before I give a more clear rating. The burgers that some other guests had looked really good. According to some other reviewers here, I would probably suggest trying this theater during a slower time, you may have a better experience. **side note: the 2 in 1 Dyson sink/dryer was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen! I got food poisoning! Yep, I ordered the coconut chicken, and I tried my wife's chicken tenders, and one of them made me violently ill! My father-in-law also got sick from the pepperoni pizza, but not as badly as I did. This tells me they're not taking good care of their meats! Use caution when going here. If I could give zero stars I would definitely do that after my experience last night. 1. We sat down to watch Aladdin at 7pm and our party ordered four drinks. Well, they never showed up and 40 minutes went by. I had to request to talk to the manager and finally our drinks came. Before the point of getting our drinks, I talked to two waitstaff,and they did nothing, which brought me to request the manager. 2. This whole thing cut into my time with Aladdin and I barely watched the movie. 3. I ordered a flatbread and my fiancé chicken tenders. The food sat out for over an hour and the wait staff tried to serve us and they lied straight to our face and said it was fresh. Really it was cold and the manager came with a whole new order so tell me how it could of been fresh?? Hmm they totally lied to me. I should add too we saw the food sitting when we went to find the manager about our drinks so yes we knew our food was sitting there for over an hour. 4. Do not even waste your time with this place absolute garbage. The wait staff here need to be trained better. The manager was ok with addressing our concerns but the staff was incredibly rude and incompetent. The concept of having food served in the theater is a great one but this was a complete failure of that concept. They have some serious work to do. read more

We've visited here four times now since their opening. We didn't have the best experience the first visit because things were a little confusing (ie having to print your ticket yourself at their kiosks) and because their service was somewhat lacking. I knew that I wanted to give this place a chance with more than one visit to allow everyone to catch a rhythm. Overall pros: - The ambiance and decor is trendy and tasteful. It's a movies date night that goes to another level than your ordinary - Food has always been great. You can tell they use high quality ingredients where they can and the food is fresh - Great customer service in terms of personality and enthusiasm - Comfort of the reclining chairs and enjoying your meal is always dope Cons: - It can become quite crowded before your movie starts. Everything is very time sensitive so they will not let you sit in the movies theater until almost 10 minutes before the previews. The line becomes tight for sure - Sometimes they plainly forget things. For example, we asked for cookies with our order but they never came although we asked once more. I can't imagine having that many orders at once so we let it go. - You May be waiting for a WHILE on a busy night. Again, I think it comes with the territory even though it's not pleasant. I believe that if movie studio continues to get better with time, they really will have a star. We plan to continue to keep coming and supporting. read more

Service was good. We ate and drank while waiting for our movie to start. Servers were very attentive and communicative about when our movie was about to start. However, we were surprised at how overpriced the food was. I understand why, but the price surpassed what I thought the already expensive price would be. We were a party of 4 and got 6 wings, chicken tenders and 2 drinks. The bill came up to a gourmet restaurant price. You're better off eating at the other restaurants in the plaza then come watch the movie. Also the only seats available for our movie slot were front row, and I must say that the front row experience is super uncomfortable. The seats recline but for front row, I feel that either those seats should be cheaper or adjust the front row reclining seats to recline a bit more than the other rows for a better experience because our necks are still stiff from our experience yesterday.
