Update , wife convinced me to order again , well like they say first time shame on you second time...... well this is like the 5th time, sent wrong pizza then argued that it was right even after the lady who answered confirmed we ordered a white pizza , manager asked for us to return pizza after we had opened it and inspected ( one of the kids even plucked a meatball cause they were hungry) and wait for new , lmao ! the pizza looked fantastic and it was hot. absolutely zero flavor. We had three different pizzas -- hawaiian, chicken and spinach, steak pizza. no flavor at all and i have low standards- albertsons grocery store pizzas have more flavor. Positives- staff was friendly, service was prompt, plenty of room (no one else was there) Too many other pizza places out there that have much better tasting pizza, skip this place until a sign appears in the window saying that they have added flavor to their sauce. read more

The pizza is great, the service is quite good, the place seems very well-organized. You give them your phone number, they know all your particulars. You don't have to repeat your address, etc. every time you call them. And, even better, they know all the different kinds of pizza we have ordered over the years. Fantastic pizza and wings! We were hesitant to go because of the less-than-stellar reviews but the customer service was great, the wait time wasn't too bad, it was a bit pricey, but the food made it well worth the trip (hence why we went back a second time). "Go write your Yelp review" snarled the manager of Stuft Pizza Dana Point after throwing me out for making a perfectly reasonable complaint. So here it is. I didn't really want to create a Yelp account on a negative note, after thinking for months about all the positive reviews I want to write about my favorite places. I'll have to get to those later. This, as the worst restaurant experience of my life, deserves immediate action! I made a special trip to this place after work, I'd passed it a few times and was keen to try it. Pizza and brews with baseball on TV? Sounded great. I ordered a pint of Left Coast and a calzone, and when it came up the outside dough looked crispy, it seemed hot enough. I was pretty hungry and got almost half way through when I hit some ham and sausage that were stone cold, like they'd just come out of the fridge. This, I think, is where the staff started counting the bites I'd taken and would ultimately use it against me. I sent the food back, and with very little apology they reheated it. More bites occurred. The important thing to emphasize is that the heat in this calzone was inconsistent - I'd take a bite that was hot, the next would be cold, I don't what kind of half assed oven they use. So I'm eating the second attempt, and my intentions are good, but it really is not enjoyable. I decide enough is enough, money-back time. In the world in general, it's perfectly reasonable to get a refund for anything that doesn't meet basic standards. Like hot food being hot. This is where things got nasty. The cashier refused to refund me because I'd eaten about 2/3 of the calzone, and started to insinuate that I was looking for a free meal. How damn insulting! Do I look like a homeless guy? No. I came to spend my hard earned money on *good* food and for the entire experience to be *enjoyable*, not to receive a half-cooked mess *twice* that might yet give me food poisoning. I pointed this out to the chef and the manager got very aggressive, telling me that to describe the food this way was "unacceptable". What, stating that serving half cooked food is a health hazard? That's just the truth! The entire kitchen staff were facing me at this point, gathering round, looking down their noses at me. After some heated exchanges with the manager I was given my marching orders. What! People are thrown out of restaurants for inappropriate behavior. How is complaining inappropriate behavior? So not only had I been cheated out of a meal, I wasn't even able to finish my beer. To think I paid in advance and tipped 20% in advance, and I left being accused of cheating *them*? I had been made an example of. As a wonderful finishing touch, some young punk of a customer decided to get involved and act like he was security, told me he was going to "knock me out" when we get outside. I wasn't about to engage in any kind of scuffle with a dumb college kid, but apparently the establishment were perfectly OK with this violent threat and thought it was a reasonable solution. They made no comment to this guy, let him bundle me out the door, and let him carry on eating. Cowardice of the extreme from an absolute joke of a company. Avoid at all costs. Shut it down. They have no idea what they're doing in the kitchen or with customer service, and are just milking their customers. There are no niceties about this place at all. You'd better like their dough or else. They sure like your dough! read more

I used to live right across the street (on the low rent hill of dp) & we ordered from here about twice a week. They were almost always spot on (maybe forgot the ranch we paid for twice & gave us meat sauce instead of marinara with our zucchini sticks once-the marinara really makes the dish, since it was sooo thick & intensely tomato-y). But we moved th sjc in October & haven't had stuft since. were craving the big doughy crust, so I called in my order & drove across town on a mission. I should have just let Stuft go when I moved & kept the fond memories of what was delivered frequently for dinner for 2 years... Seeing it in person, the place is not the dirtiest i've eaten from, but not as clean as I expected from this franchise. When we started in on the grub, there was meat sauce with the zucchini sticks (strike 1), the ranch was literally rancid & had a weird film on top (strike 2), and the pizza dough was burnt on the outside, still doughy in the middle, and full of holes (strike 3). Even better was the fact that I'd raved about this place to the bf's mom & she was equally disgusted with the food. Good thing I ordered a large banking on lunch for the next day... We each struggled through 1 slice, dipped a few zucchini in the catsup from our fridge, and tossed 75% of our $30 order. Sorry Stuft, we really used to love you, but we will never be back. Quick sum: bad service, marginal food, not a brewery. Examples: turnover sandwich was dry and doughy, heated jaco sand had very little meat, no napkins or pepper on table, asked for mustard or ranch dressing and nobody brought any-went to counter and they wanted to charge 50c for a tablespoon of ranch. I been eating here ever since High School and It always been a yo yo type of a deal. Some days it is very tasty but other days it isn't that good and why even bother. The pizza is very doughy which i like when I was younger but these days it isn't really my cup of tea but dipping it in ranch dressing help a lot. I think it is much funnier eating there then trying to bring it home because you can watch sporting events plus drink a pitcher of beer there. Very disappointed in the management. The other night we ordered a specialty chicken pizza. We have ordered this pizza several times before and it's been okay. But this last time the chicken was very dry we only ate 3 pieces and throw the rest out. I called to let them know that I was unhappy with the pizza the girl took all my information and told me management would call me back later( strange that the manager is not in the restaurant at 6:30 on a Sunday night) that was 3 days ago. I called yesterday and management was out on a break. I called again today strangely enough the manager again is out from 3 to 5. Customer service is not very good. Very disappointing. This place has the worst cleanliness standards for its employees. The guy I presume to be the owner blue hat gold watch, was eating food while making others food. Then the women cooking was handling money then going directly back to cooking. I saw no one wash their hands. And as I write this he just coughed in the ingredient fridge. Let me begin by saying it was sweltering hot in there. The salad was ok. The stuffed pizza wasn't that great. Flavor was below average. Being from Chicago, it was quite the disappointment. For a place with "and Brewing" in its title, I was expecting more beer selections. I was expecting something like Pizza Port. This is not that. They have beer, but nothing that out of the ordinary. The pizza is good--not amazing, but good. We got the vegetarian one, #3 on the list. The crust was a little bland in my opinion but it's hard to be anything but content with pizza. I decided to come here because I was in the area...and I wish we wouldn't have stopped. When I walked in i wasn't greeted or anything, so I didn't know if I should seat our self or wait, so I just stood there awkwardly. Really annoying. I finally asked how does this work and the very unfriendly girl explained. Then when I went to order I asked if I could get Alfredo instead of marinara sauce and the lady in the back very rudely said no and seemed annoyed that I asked. Very disappointing. I went up and asked them what was wrong and the blonde girl working there shoots me an attitude as if I was anything, but patient. Long story short, manager helps us out and gets us the pizza. Stuft pizza has very great and quick service and delicious pizza. I recommend the pepperoni, cheese, or sausage pizza(those are my personal favorites). My mom loves the Hawaiian vegetarian pizza so I would also recommend that too. For delivery the service is pretty quick and the people are always nice. Not the cleanest joint around: unseen spilled soda on ordering counter...all over the bottom of my pack:-( 2. Ordered 2 slices of REGULAR cheese pizza........got 2 slices of PEPPERONI when delivered 15m later.....guy said that was the only pizza for slices....thanks for telling me when I ordered:-( 3.
