Spacious and the best pizza in the city of EL SEGUNDO! Please stop by you won't regret it! Their Buffalo wings are bomb! Reasonable prices for all sizes and they serve by the slice only for $3!

This was taken inside my vehicle.. that's how good it looked..

I went on a self-guided pizza crawl near LAX before picking up my family flying in from the East…read moreCoast. Stop 1 was ESBC The Slice and Point. This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. Slice and Pint may be local to El Segundo (lucky El Segundonians!) But my experience with this one slice is that it would be worth the drive from anywhere in SoCal to eat here...If you love NYC-style thin slices...like real legitimate ones...charge up the car and get yourself there.

After finding a table, we went back up ready to order and the server responded pretty rudely: "Did you not hear what I said?" I completely understand restaurants get busy and mistakes happen, especially in a loud environment, but the attitude felt unnecessary over a simple misunderstanding. We ended up leaving and went to Japonica around the corner instead, where the service was much friendlier.

"I've been here before..."…read more Then recognized the Chinese restaurant (I've been to a couple of times) a few yards away. But I was in the mood for pizza and wanted to try new digs. I went through their menu beforehand and knew exactly what I wanted: The Gourmet Pizza. Experience dictated parking can be a challenge more especially during the lunch rush, so I prepped for that. Got way lucky I found one near the front. Came through and a couple customers already waiting for their order. There were also a few takeout orders waiting to be picked up. Didn't see anyone dining in, so they're popular for to-go grub. Put my order in and took a seat. About ten (maybe fifteen?) minutes before my food was ready to go. Made to order is always a plus! Got back to work not too long after and my pie was still hot. Plenty of toppings and the thin crust was crispy at the outer layers. Each bite was savory and flavors from all the toppings came together nicely. I really liked it! I ordered a small but was only able to consume half. There was plenty for a second meal. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 5. VALUE: 4. PARKING: Small Private lot up front, more in the back. Street also available. OVERALL: 4.5. The only little snag?! The pie was sliced into four pieces which were a bit too big for my personal preference. Will most likely request for 8 slices the next time. There will be a next time! Might take interest in their lunch specials then.

If you're planning an official cheat day in El Segundo, North Italia is absolute perfection…read more Everything on the menu is rich, flavorful, and incredibly delicious--definitely not light fare, but 100% worth every single calorie. When my wife and I go, she always gets the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka (the sauce has the perfect kick and rich texture). As for me, my ultimate strategy is skipping a standard entree and doubling up on appetizers: the Meatballs and the White Truffle Garlic Bread. The bread alone is phenomenal, and the meatballs are tender and packed with flavor. The only major downside to treating apps as my main meal? I begrudgingly have to share with the table! ;) Because the menu is so good across the board, coming here with a larger group is really the best move. It gives everyone an excuse to order family-style and try even more items--our group go-tos include the Calamari Fritti, Crispy Eggplant Parmesan, and one of their hand-crafted pizzas. Plus, since it's cheat day, pairing the meal with one of their crisp, local IPAs from the draft list is an absolute must. Once the waistband is thoroughly loosened, we finish off the night with dessert. We usually just let the table go with whatever seasonal special they're running, and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere at The Point, friendly service, and unbeatable comfort food. Highly recommend!

I started with the s'more please cocktail, which reminded me of an old fashion with toasted marshmallows. I'm already a fan of old fashion, so I enjoyed the drink itself. Honestly, I don't think the marshmallows added much, but I definitely enjoyed eating them. We shared about 5-6 dishes. The White Truffle Garlic Bread was amazing--super soft, flavorful, and not overpowering. The Yellowtail Crudo was one of my favorites. The fish had great texture and quality, and all the salty, citrusy, creamy elements worked really well together. For the mains, the Seared Scallops with sweet corn risotto were a standout. The scallops were seared perfectly with great texture. The Braised Short Rib Lumache was also delicious, although the beef was a little richer than I personally prefer. We also had the Roasted Salmon with fregola and broccolini, which was cooked well and nicely balanced. Our server was amazing--attentive, helpful, and provided great service throughout the night. Overall, it was a great celebration dinner and an excellent first experience at North Italia. I'd definitely come back.

Being from Illinois, my…read moresister recommended Union Station Pizza Company because of their deep dish, and I can honestly say it's some of the best deep dish pizza I've had in California. My issue was with my most recent experience. I'm not a fan of the large tomato chunks in the deep dish sauce, so during a previous visit, an employee told me they could substitute their regular pizza sauce. She warned me that it could make the dough soggier, but I accepted that risk, ordered it that way, and the pizza came out perfect. I returned about two weeks later and ordered it exactly the same way. A newer employee told me he had been instructed never to make a deep dish with that sauce because it could affect the dough. I explained that another employee specifically told me to order it this way and that I had already tried it and loved it. I was willing to pay for it and completely accepted the risk, but he still refused to make it. I don't blame the employee because he made it clear that he was new and was simply following the instructions he had been given. My issue is with the inconsistency and how the situation was handled. I ended up leaving with nothing because they refused to make an order they had made for me just two weeks earlier. The pizza itself is great, but this was a very disappointing customer service experience. I have never been to any establishment in my life and been turned away because they couldn't make a very minor adjustment to a food order that I had already previously ordered there.

It's an unassuming spot in a corner of a strip center that you could easily miss. It's the cutest space with indoor and patio seating as well as a few bar spots, good for solo dining. We started with the meatballs and Caesar salad. The meatballs had a crisp sear outside that gave way to a soft inside. So good with the tomato sauce and arugula. The Caesar had a touch of spiciness and was dressed with toasted bread crumbs, a nice touch. I had the bolognese. It was tender and meaty and the pasta had the right amount of bite. This was even great leftover the next day. The Meyer lemon pie was the perfect closer. DineLA was the right call to bring me in to to try this gem of a spot.
