I woke up craving pickles and olives so I decided to give this Subway a try. I asked for extra olives and they said they were all out, even though I could see a fresh can in the back. I asked if they any in the back and I heard one sandwich artist say to the other in Spanish, "dale el tratamiento para los pies" (give him the foot treatment). My lettuce tasted kinda funny and I was airdropped the attached photo after eating my sandwich in the store. As a former Franchise owner of two stores I realize that you must be hands on or the staff will run your business into the ground. The kids in the store are always running around playing grab ass and walk our of the store in twos during the lunch rush. Tonight my husband ordered two turkey sandwiches and the 'sandwich Artist" after making one the clerk said "we are out of turkey?" No churros and stale pretzels either? LAZY AND DIRTY FOOD handelers. Never ever does a Subway run out of turkey? The turkey used to come pre sliced then they switched to freshly slicled so that BS they were just too lazy to slice more turkey. I was so furious so I called to order three turkey sandwiches and they proceeded to take my order. I was furious and wondered why I got the "LAST" of the turkey which smells bad. The worst subway ever Tuna melt mashed up with drippy soggy stinky tuna juice. Sandwiches bagged in a paper bag no paper wrapping. This review is from my boyfriend and friend's experience: This place is supposed to open at 7 am. They came in at 8 am, the door was still locked, so the lady let them in but continued to go through the process of opening. Therefore they were the only people in there for 45 minutes while the lady took down chairs and mopped floors without saying a word before their 2 sandwiches were completed and paid for. Ridiculous. With not many reasonable places to eat in Mammoth, especially after 8pm we decided to try Subway. After all, what can go wrong with Subway? Every Subway we go to in Southern California is actually pretty good. Although the staff was friendly, they were out of a number of items. No roast beef. The amount of meat on the sandwiches was minimal. The bread that I got was stale and basically crumbled with every bite. I was at the subway in mammoth on Thursday. This will be a two sided review. First the place had there Covid distances on the ground and all over so that was good. The staff were friendly and fast with the order. The only thing is that when I got back to my house like 8 minutes away and started to devour my rib sandwich the meat was cold. Very disappointed in the service I just received... Towards the end of the line the worker added too much chipotle sauce.. I asked her to re wrap the sub so it wouldn't be messy. She scolded me for not telling her to put the sauce towards the bottom of the sandwich. I told her I wasn't obligated to be that assertive about the sauce and that she could fix it. It's like hit or miss with this place... There are two girls thy work here that are always super sweet and joke with me and my husband, then there are two other girls that always seen very unhappy, as if they really don't enjoy working there and are put off by making our food. I was in there today and decided it was time to write a review because my father and I were both very unhappy. The first girl that got our order and bread was VERY rude! She seemed super grumpy and was very short with both of us. After taking care of my father's and my order, I actually heard her get pissed off at the guy behind us because he couldn't understand her when she asked if he wanted his bread toasted. I tried Subway's new Turkey and Bacon that is being advertised on TV. First of all, it looked nothing like the one featured in the TV ad. It barely had any turkey meat and that was sliced paper thin. I also have never seen any thinner sliced strips of bacon. The sign in the store advertised this sandwich for $8.75 but I was told by the clerk that it was $9.75 because bacon was a dollar more. I said look at the sign, it says Turkey AND Bacon for $8.75 so I was begrudgingly given that price. I called Subway corporate and found out these signs were a mistake and are being corrected. Definitely a sub par Subway. I live down the street and have been here numerous times. The young lady with the tattoo of a cross behind her ear never smiles... Every single time I've come in and she's working, she seems put off by having to serve a customer. My last visit was the final straw. I had to leave this bad review. Behind me in line were a couple of European tourists. Their English was a bit spotty, but sufficient enough that they would've easily been able to place the order with a little patience on the staff's behalf. This young lady was rolling her eyes and was very short with them when she had to repeat herself a couple of times. These Europeans were trying to be pleasant, saying please and thank you, but she was having none of it. Suck it up sweetheart! If you hate your job, quit! I got no problem with Christians, except the ones who don't practice what they preach. I have decided not to go back to this Subway... ever. I work in the customer service industry. While I like Subway in general for buying ten or more lunch sandwiches for my work team, this Mammoth Lakes Subway sucks! I wanted to get my order in early so I could pick the sandwiches up by 8 AM, so I was at the restaurant door by 6:50; the sign on the door said they open at 7 AM. I waited. At 7 AM I could see one girl inside still slowly counting money in the till. I just needed to to talk to her, place the order, pay by credit card and return. She could clearly see me waiting, but chose to ignore me. By 7:05 I knocked on the door not twenty feet away from her; she still acted like I wasn't there. About 7:10, after standing there for twenty minutes, she grabbed the keys, walked right by me and walked to the door at the front of the store to open it. I walked back to that door and followed her inside. I said I need to order ten sandwiches and pick them up at 8 AM. She said she couldn't have ten sandwiches ready by 8 AM, maybe by 8:45 or 9 AM. I said "you have 50 minutes to make ten sandwiches!" She said she already has an order for fifteen by 8, and can't take another order. Really? How long does it take to make a sandwich... ten minutes? I was pissed! She made me wait twenty minutes, refused to talk to me, or even open the door on time, then tells me she can't make the order? She obviously cares less about the business to turn down orders and treat customers like that. She shouldn't be employed! I finally found the NY Deli in the Village was open and had no problem making the sandwiches by 8 AM. read more
