This impressed me so we decided to grab some burgers. The young man taking our orders was manning the Lane outside the very small outlet. He was thorough, he knew his business, and he was polite with a great sense of humor. My partner had the bacon bleu burger and I had the aftershock smash. Like a scene out of When Harry Met Sally, we had all sorts of specific requests: no onions on this, Swiss instead of cheddar, whatever. The kiddo took this all in stride, unlike the professional he was repeated our order back to us without having made one mistake. By the way-it was all quite good. Burgers were good. Fries were good. The only offhand request would have been allowing me to try the speciality lemonade as part of my combo-we would have paid the up charge. If so, that's pretty cool. I loved that we could order with three cars in front of us and, by the time we got to the window, we only had to wait a couple minutes for our two custom burgers. The 7yo told me his burger was "really good!" And I really liked the flavor of my Firehouse burger. We loved that there was a choice between regular fries and the waffle variety. Next time, and there will be a next time, I want to try the onion rings. I played it safe this time, but since I'll be back, that's a route I will take.

The "kid" at the counter chose to argue vs attempting to make things right. I felt the correct thing to do was make an exchange with a fresh pizza but his solution was to give a discount for a future pizza vs an exchange. I already paid $25. Along with his surly behavior, his refusal to look at me directly and that final comment about it being "too bad you didn't get it your way" pushed the wrong button. Once back home, I did make a phone call with an apology for my out bust. Future, we'll drive a little down the road and get an already baked pizza for the same price and better customer service.

The biscuit was a little dry around the edges, but the honey butter sauce made it moist enough, and it was really good. The shrimp is definitely the must-try.
