But the other day I decided to get a sub with ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Delicious. Just the right amount of mayo and lots of good Boars Head meats. My grandson ( who did get his Reuben) got the Asisn pasta salad as his side. I got the cucumber salad. Which cucumbers in a vinegar based dressing. I love the fact there are so many sides to choose from. My favorite is the Delicious refreshing broccoli salad. They offer 2-3 pasta salads, egg salad, potato salad. Regular and German potato salad. My cucumber salad. And to complete your Delicious meal they have coconut cake. And the best pineapple cake. YUM YUM. Worth going just to try the cake. They now offer wraps as well as sandwiches. All of the soups are good Especially when you get a grilled cheese with the tomato soup. Home run. I could eat bowls and bowls of the soup. They can make you a salad if that's what you prefer. They offer soda drinks. I livethe Arnold Palmer..half sweet tea half lemonade. They offer canned sodas as well. The staff are always friendly. Good place for a family meal. Or a business meeting. Which is where I do have a business meeting every month there.

I used to stop…read morehere for the occasional lunch trip with co-workers, and this was my first time back since relocating back to the Triad. It was a busy lunch hour when we pulled in, but still able to find parking without difficulty. Several copies of the menu are taped along the booth partitions that create the order line walkway. Lots of options, and I went with the TJ's Club Special. Order taken and paid for at the front counter, and we selected a table near the front window. The place was definitely busy with both takeout and dine-in orders. Restaurant was well-lit, comfortable, and clean. Mishap #1, we noticed a lot of other order numbers being called besides ours so my wife went up to inquire and it somehow got labeled with a different patron's name and put off to the side. Hey, mistakes happen and the order contents itself were accurate. My wife got the half-sandwich and soup and made the comment that the soup was nice and hot. My Club sandwich was PACKED with meat like you'd expect if your grandma had made it. I got my sandwich with their pasta salad and it was delicious. Mishap #2, we were hoping to use the restroom before leaving but it was labelled "out of order". For all I know, a plumber might have been dispatched, but this is one of those things I would think you need to take care of ASAP when offering a dine-in option. TJ's is definitely a must-try for a great deli sandwich.

It was hot and delicious although I felt the tortilla wrap was a little stiff like maybe they didn't warm it before adding the ingredients. My husband got an Italian Hoagie. He had them take off the 1000 Island and add mayo instead. He enjoyed it a lot. We also got a side of Onion Rings to share. The first thing we noticed was how dark in color they were and also the abundance of seasoning. My husband took a bite of one and immediately started coughing because of the super salty flavor of them. Having a long history in the restaurant business, we could tell they were re-fried and obviously re-seasoned. He returned them to the counter where they gave us a fresh batch without a problem. The new ones were visibly much better however, as long time customers of TJ's we noticed how much thicker the breading was than it used to be. I was disappointed the batter was so prominent I couldn't really taste the onion. I think they either changed their breading or changed the way they bread them. I wasn't a fan though so I will hesitate to order any breaded items from now on. The dining room, as always was bright and clean bustling with customers eating lunch. The service is nothing but friendly there every time we visit as well. I will continue to frequent TJ's Deli.

I settled on a Barbecue Chicken Cheddar Melt, which was decent. It had a ton of meat on it and that was hard to eat. I had to pull several slices off to make it where I could eat it without feeling like I was choking. The chips were a yummy and crunchy side. I also got a slice of coconut cake which was delicious and reminded me of times with my grandma years ago. Overall it's a nice place for a yummy slice of cake or a quick sandwich for lunch, but it doesn't give the comfy cozy feel of a bakery at all. It's rather cold, honestly. Clean and beautiful, but cold. The servers are always super sweet, helpful, and do an excellent job!

I tried both the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. They were pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary, but solid and satisfying. The prices were reasonable, which is always a plus. I wouldn't recommend this spot for a big group, as there isn't much seating. Tables are small and better suited for about four people or fewer. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, I do have to be honest, the mac and cheese side was not good at all. Unfortunately, that was a miss for me, so I'd suggest skipping that item. Overall, everything else I tried was good, the service was great, and it's a nice spot for a coffee, bakery and or quick breakfast or sandwich stop.

The tenders had a really solid crunch without being greasy, and the hot honey added the perfect sweet heat balance. The Meal 3 with 2 sliders and 2 tenders was probably the standout though. The Patty Melt Crunch slider and Sammy's Melt Burger both had that smashed burger flavor with crispy edges that hit perfectly. The "saucy" hot honey combo worked way better than expected, especially with the hand-cut fries and homemade ranch on the side. Even the fries stayed crispy the whole meal, which says a lot. Portion sizes were solid for the price, the food came out quick, and the whole meal had that fresh-made comfort food vibe instead of tasting overly fast-food style. Washed it all down with a Coke and honestly left full and satisfied. If you're in Winston-Salem and craving sliders, tenders, or late comfort food, Sammy's Sliders is definitely worth trying. The hot honey flavors and smash-style burgers are the move.

And as for a double curse, at most of these spots, the prices go up as the portions tail off. I have found Jason's to be flying against these trends, consistently providing stable value and consistent flavor from a menu that is large and varied - with their full salad bar providing one of the very best values at any restaurant, national or local. On this visit, I was again picking up several items for a small family group. We chose fully loaded containers from the salad bar, a bow of chili, and a full sized Reuben sandwich. Once home, we split the items up for all to enjoy - nothing disappointed! This was a first try with the chili, and it was quite nice - plenty of well seasoned ground beef, no beans or onions, but was well topped with cheddar cheese! The Reuben contained 8 ounces of hot, tasty corned beef, great cheese, plenty of kraut, marble rye, and lots of 1000 Island Dressing. It was cut into the required pieces, and the additional dressing was shared - a bit messy but delicious in total. The center piece was the large amount of variety in the salad, and when well covered in the dressing this was great - not especially healthy with the amount of dressing I added! I'll be back soon as I noticed they are offering Beef Stew for a while - gotta try that.

The patties had great flavor, the bun held together, and the chili and slaw were tasty, but not oozing out of the burger, which is perfect for me. I took a chance on the brownie, as UE doesn't say if there are nuts, and I was happy to see there were none. Hand wrapped, moist, and I got a corner piece for the win. It would be a 5 star review if not for the chicken in my wrap. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the driest chicken I have ever eaten in my life. It was truly a struggle to chew it, and it's so sad because the other components could have made it great. There was also zero spice to the wrap, despite the name. I would still like to give them another try, but this was a disappointing first impression.
