I drive by Sucre Cafe every day and today me and my sister stopped in to try. I think we found our new go-to spot. The drink menu is completely customizable, which is a total plus. This place never disappoints, my prior visit, I wanted to try one of the fries that was on the menu ( it wasn't regular fries but something ethnic) and the manager realized I didn't touch the fries much. He came up to me and asked if everything was okay, I told him it was but he knew I wasn't feeling the fries and insisted that he swap them for something else!!! Probably the best mangonada that I've had in the DFW area! Really good mango flavor and just the right amount of chamoy that it's not overwhelming and powering the mango. The drinks overall were great and didn't taste syrupy. Customer service was great and ensured that you enjoyed you what you ordered. Glad to have a great drink spot in the area. Also noticed that they had a japanese slow drip as well, so looking forward to giving that a try. Along with lots of other coffee drinks. Will definitely have to try out their waffles. I had their classic milk tea with boba (which is an extra 50 cents), total $3.79 including tax. When we went in, on Tuesday afternoon/evening, it was like we were entering a library - it was so quiet, though there were so many people sitting at the tables inside! I asked the cashier why, since we had been here before when it was much louder, and she told us that a lot of students come here to study on weekdays. Anyway, the drink was just okay, kind of too watery which drowns out the tea flavor. I prefer my milk teas on the creamier side. But I liked the boba. I asked for 1/3 the regular amount of sugar, which was good enough for me since the boba added sweetness to the drink. I like that this place had a lot of space to sit, and it seemed pretty chill and relaxed (though it's a little dim inside). read more

I come here a lot with my husband and it is often a place where I like to bring out-of-town visitors. The food is tasty and the drinks are amazing. I love their Thai Tea with Mango popping and Rose Gold Smoothie while my husband likes their Watermelon Breeze slush. The staff is always very friendly, helpful, and personable. I can't believe I've waited until now to rate this place, but Sucre Cafe is crazy good! It's trendy, local, and has some of the best customer service in the area. I've been coming to this cafe since their soft opening, and it only keeps getting better. I love that they're always adding things to their menu or, in certain cases, perfecting their recipes. The first time I went, I ordered the Thai Tea with strawberry popping boba and I was HOOKED. It's been my instant favorite up until I tried their Jasmine Green Milk Tea which will probably be fighting for favorite. The employees will let you sample something if you're not too sure about it which, honestly, makes for a great customer experience. It's usually not too terribly loud in the cafe, although there are certain rush periods and the occasional group of students studying at the long tables, or families coming through with their small children. My favorite spot is by the faux fireplace and, when it's quiet, it's a good place to hang out for a bit with a good book. If you're so inclined, make some time to talk with the employees/managers about their ingredients. They're always happy to let you know what they're using, and don't mind if you make a substitution or two. I always recommend this place while I'm at work and my customers are looking for a good little cafe or boba shop. Oh, and try the pulled pork buns! They're delicious! read more

I've tried sucre countless of times and a couple of my friends absolutely lives their products but I don't think I could consider adding sucre to my go-to places. Their are many boba shops in the Dallas area so you would have to stand out and have top quality drinks to even compete. Sucre's concept is different, however I don't think their drink quality is up to par with other boba chains in the area. I have drink many different types of drinks hoping to find "my drink" lol. I tried all different types of milk teas, fruit teas, and even the slushes and smoothies. I've also tried a couple of their food options. It might be just me, but when I tried their bomb fries, I immediately got a stomachache. It was the only thing I ate that day so that may have played in a role in it. My friend shared the same fries and was fine. Her stomach is like a tank and was able to down a majority of their food options. It is a nice shop and they have a large variety of drinks, but for me every visit has been a disappointment. read more

I read about this cafe in the Plano Community Impact Newsletter and decided to come on in and give it a try. So glad I did! The employee who served us was awesome - so friendly and patient, she explained the toppings we were not familiar with, gave us samples, smiled (sad this is something to be impressed about!). We got 1.)a white mocha and it was solid, strong and not too sweet like Starbucks can be, and 2.)jalapeno mint lemonade, which was just ok but not spicy enough. There are comfy couches and also 4 tables that specifically have plugs near as well as 3 larger tables without plugs and high top seating along the windows. I especially loved the music they played in there, it is diverse in genre and not like a Spotify coffee shop playlist. This a livelier place so I wouldn't come in there to conduct business calls or anything but it's perfect for getting some work done if you like background noise or for meeting up with friends. Wonderful place for adults and kids alike. We brought the kids (10 and 12) and they took straight to playing the board games. Also neat college vibe to the place with millennials working on laptops from the nearby community college. Prices are also about what you would expect, $5 a pop and up. I have come here on several occasions and think Sucre is a great place to come hangout or study at in Plano. There's plenty of seating and outlets to use and the music is not blasting. The drinks here are good too, though the prices are a bit high for what they're worth.
