Have been to Suddenly Slimmer twice now for CoolSculpting treatments. It is too early to gauge the CoolSculpting effectiveness so I couldn't give them the whole 5 stars yet. I can speak to the friendliness of the staff and their attentiveness. Each time the front desk has been fully staffed so that there isn't any wait time to check in. Alyssa has been the person making sure the procedure is performed perfectly and she has been wonderful. Very professional but not in a "sterile environment" kind of way. Her ability to chat keeps your mind from focusing on the freezing/sucking machine attached to your body! Basically it is not a painful procedure. Uncomfortable momentarily as the blood returns to the area afterwards, but certainly tolerable for those 5 minutes. Fingers crossed! read more

I got an eyebrow and lash tint done by Irina and I am so happy with the results! I am blonde, so I naturally have light eyebrows and eyelashes, and I was a little scared for the eyebrow color to look too dark. Irina was so helpful and understanding, and took the time to tell me which products she recommended and how long we would leave the color on to get the perfect result. Rude staff, pushy doctor and the other employees try to sell you everything on the shelves. I made an appointment for a facial, with suddenly slimmer day spa, and ended up getting a facial from an aesthetician who rents space from the spa, upstairs in a room. I thought about getting fillers (Juvederm)done, and got a little apprehensive about the situation and change my mind and they were so mad that I would not get the fillers. I paid & tipped just because the the lady was nice upstairs. They even told me I was complaining because I wanted to get a free facial. It never crossed my mind to try to get a free facial it crossed my mind to have a good facial from a good company, and from people who wouldn't do just anything for sales. Go at your own risk, but leave her credit cards at home. Just go someplace else and save yourself a headache. read more

I have been meaning to write this for a while. I have noticed, that when something does not go "perfectly" its any company's best opportunity to gain a loyal customer, basically by correcting the issue appropriately. Let me preface this by saying I have been going to Suddenly Slimmer for years and years just because I appreciate the quality of Dr. Jeffers' work. She knows her stuff and does a good job. I am a super busy profession and parent and have hardly any free time, so have taken to scheduling appointments for Botox/Dysport on work lunch hours because typically the appointments are so prompt and wait times so short. Maybe I've gotten spoiled by this at Suddenly Slimmer, I know a fact of operating any business is once in a while things don't go as expected and clients may have to wait. This happened to me and unfortunately I had to leave to return to work. Had I been a person with more free time maybe i wouldn't have minded. But I'm extremely busy and was bummed that I took time out of my work day and couldn't receive the treatment I was scheduled for. Here's where the 5 stars come in...The manager not only called me promptly to apologize for the experience--she offered me a modest free gift to compensate me for my lost time and as a token of goodwill. I came back the following Saturday, Dr. Jeffers did an amazing job with the Dysport (I've never been so frozen!) And I'm not going to lie, I love the gift and use it frequently, it did totally help me get over my frustrations over having to wait. So, no more frown lines on this girl, in many ways thanks to Suddenly Slimmer and their awesome customer service, skilled aesthetician, and amazing products. My name is not as it says but they know who I am. I'm very disappointed I was really looking for a spa that I could stick long term to based on their services and genuine aesthetician intentions. Initially they got me. I thought they cared and treated each individually as a special patient, SPECIALLY, when it's a treatment. I paid upfront in full for microneedling, each microneedling session was different. I understand the change of aesthetician per visit which is monthly, but as much as they may say they follow a treatment plan which is what you paid for, there is no coordination and they just go in to do a microneedling. Not sure if they keep records of exactly how it was done previously but my 2 treatments after my 1st were very low precision, or at a lower level than my first. My skin can handle it and I wish they would follow a treatment. I was told it would increase little by little if handled by the skin. Worse part is that in my LAST treatment I get offered, not offered, I get thrown an EXTRA SALE of charging $50, to get the SAME treatment but with a NEW BETTER PEN. On my last treatment. NO ONE could give an answer as to when the new pen was introduced. I had had my previous treatment not too long before my last. They brag it's much better and FDA approved like if I'm supposed to be soo happy they were using a non FDA approved of shittier quality. New technology comes up I get it, but the fact they never provided a date as to when this was new introduced is very wrong. So I did accept the SALE, paid $50 although my treatment was already paid in full. And WOW. Yeah the difference is A BIG DIFFERENCE. I feel scammed. I feel lied to. And it's very disappointing they have a fake professionalism. They are money orriented, the spa director is just the spa director, treats you like you don't exist unless she's speaking to you treating you. So rude and unprofessional. She has bosses pressuring to bring in numbers so that's what its all about at the end of the day for them. And the way employees leave and are switched just shows a lot about the work environment. As much as they may deny it. Also, they're soo good at charging $50 if you miss an appointment but they're soo good at messing up appointments on their behalf and have to reschedule you, Excuse me we also have plans and a set schedule throughout our day. Are you deducting $50 off my payment for you having to reschedule?? I think not right. Horrible. read more

Everyone says this place is great and I don't get it. I went there for a "Slimming Body Wrap" and it was a pretty miserable experience. Now I know what you are thinking. A Slimming body wrap? Who would even believe those things work? Not me. Well not me either. Stupid not-working-weight-loss-wrap aside, Suddenly Slimmer is not very impressive. When going to a spa you expect a relaxing spa like atmosphere. Pretty flowers. People who look professional yet compassionate. Maybe even some sitar music. Suddenly Slimmer doesn't offer any of those comforts. Instead this place looks kind of like a free clinic that treats herpes. So anyway, I tried the wrap. The wrap itself is sort of miserable because it is wet, cold and tight. Pieces of cloth are soaked in a solution then wrapped around you like a mummy. Other spas have ways of keeping you warm while you are cocooned in your Slimming Wrap. Usually spas use infrared lights, heating pads and a special sauna to help you keep warm. Other spas also offer videos, television and other various distractions while you bake for an hour or two in your wrap. Suddenly Slimmer offered none of these things. I began to shiver and shake - as I was wrapped in wet cloth and plastic from the waist down. When I told them I was cold - GET THIS - they pointed to a 1980's Nordic Track looking machine and told me I could exercise on this contraption to keep warm. So I got on the contraption and squished about, barely able to move b/c of my mummified condition. I was still cold, but also was starting to sweat. So I was clammy and wet and totally bored. Did I mention miserable? After 2 hours of torture I was set free. I was un-mummified and "measured." They told me I lost like 18 inches. I call bullshit. ***Edited to add: Since posting this review I have received several threatening letters from the owner of Suddenly Slimmer. In these letters she calls me "evil" and threatens to sue me. I think her actions are a disgrace to the spirit of the Yelp Community. Instead of being a responsible business owner this woman is emailing me (up to four times in one day!) calling me a "liar", "disgrace" and threatening me with harm. I implore all of you to beware of this woman. She clearly does not take criticism well and might be disturbed. If you have a bad experience here and dare to Yelp about it - you might be victim of her harassment. Personally I refuse to let her threats scare me into taking down my review. **** Edited to add this on 11/13/07: In fairness to Suddenly Slimmer I do have an update on the decor: A fellow Yelper messaged me today to let me know the spa DID look like a free clinic (she used those words too), but has since had extensive remodeling. I stand behind my opinion that the spa looked terrible when I visited it, but apparently it looks very nice now. The Yelper who gave me this info has many legit reviews under her name so I trust her intentions and thank her for the updated info. read more

I have been a client at Suddenly Slimmer for over 10 years now, and obviously love them since I've been going there for that long! I've had waxing, laser hair removal, Vit B shots, and a few facials there, but normally go for the waxing. I've had good experiences with all of the aestheticians there, but usually see Dannielli because she is after all, the "Queen"! ;-) Dannielli makes time go by so quickly and is an expert at not only whatever treatment she is doing, but also an expert at distraction. Let's be honest, waxing isn't necessarily the best feeling but Dannielli is great at conversation, so you'll be talking and before you know it you're done and your skin is so soft and smooth. (Side note: There are products that can help lessen the discomfort, but I'm a tough cookie and don't use anything) Dannielli really does quality work and makes sure the end result is perfection. I love also that it's a family owned and operated business. The whole family really cares about their clients and wants to make sure they have the best experience. I also love the friendliness of the front desk staff- whether in person or on the phone, the interactions always leave me smiling. The spa itself is so relaxing- whenever I walk through the door, I feel like any stress gets left outside. The music, the refreshments available- it all goes into the experience. And they also offer some great products, and while I never feel pressured to buy anything, I'm always happy with whatever I buy. This is my 2nd visit. The first time was to have my eyelash extensions removed. That experience was good. Nice environment with spa decor, music and cushy seating. Even though the price of getting my extension removed wasn't very expensive I was treated as if I was dropping 10k. My 2nd experience, which is today, was about the same except my RN Stephanie who gave me my Botox injections was amazing! Very personal and accommodating. I instantly liked her because of her friendly demeanor and charismatic personality. She had on leopard printed glasses which were great! So In contrast to her stark white attire you got a sense of her quirky personality . I recommend going to her for anything you need that she does.
