The people that are leaving 5 star reviews of this place must live in a gutter! Seriously - the outside facade is nice, but once you go past the front desk, be prepared to lower your standards dramatically! ************************************************************************** EDITED: This is the last time I'll put a review on Yelp - why bother? I have an opinion that seems to have the 'fake' reviewers back, so how can you tell what's true and what isn't? MY SUGGESTION IS TO TAKE A TOUR BEFORE YOU HAVE A TREATMENT AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF!!!! Suddenly Slimmer didn't live up to MY expectations, but maybe you will think it's fantastic - everyone's tastes are different! I can assure you I am not a competitor or ex-employee - I'm just someone that wanted to lose a few inches and enjoy a spa experience, and I didn't get either. Sometimes you learn by making mistakes, so I will ALWAYS tour a facility in the future before handing over the cash. So now people are suppose to be afraid to give their opinion because Tony's private investigator is going to hunt them down and sue them? Maybe they think threatening people will put a stop to the bad reviews, but all they need to do is spend the money on fixing up the treatment areas instead of threatening people because they have an opinion. **************************************************************************** I went for a slimming wrap and I was shocked by the conditions. I was first put in a locker room and told to disrobe and meet my technician in the hall. The door does not lock so anyone (male or female) can open the door on you (and it did happen to me) while you are disrobing. All the bad stuff that was described in previous posts are true, so I won't go over those again. Save your money and go get a nice massage and spa service at a REAL spa like JW Marriott Camelback in Scottsdale - it's CHEAPER than this dump!!! And I'm not trying to be mean here, but when I walked in a saw that most of the staff is overweight, I just knew that this wasn't going to be good - the place is called Suddenly Slimmer - did they all go down the street to suddenly fatter for lunch and they just need another wrap? I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but after this experience, I had to warn others - don't believe the hype! I figured if they had been on all these talk shows that it had to be a great place - right? Apparently Not! EDITED: Regarding the comment from Jana M - I feel sorry for you that you spent $1M - you really got ripped off! Like I said, I'm not trying to be mean, I just think people should know what to expect - maybe you have very low standards and the spa is very nice for you, but for people that have had a really great spa experience, Suddenly Slimmer doesn't live up to other good spas in the area. Yes, your staff works hard, but they need to be nicer to their customers and not treat them like 'just another person to get out the door'. And as far as the weight issue I have no problem with people having fat, I have it myself and that's why I came to the spa. I just find it interesting that a spa that claims to have all these results from the slimming wraps, has people on staff that look as if they never had one - which means if they do get the wraps themselves, then they are not working. As far as the pictures in your profile, they are pictures of the front of the building, the lobby, and the sitting area, which I said are very nice :) It's AFTER you get past those areas that the spa experience ends. There is a reason you don't have pictures of the rest of the facility, because you probably couldn't get any good ones. Visit the spa at JW Marriott Camelback and you will get an idea of what a spa experience should be. Suddenly Slimmer is one of the best state of the art spas and wellness center I have been to. It's such a beautiful spa, the staff is wonderful, and the services are truly outstanding. I specially enjoy the body wrap treatments I receive from Suddenly Slimmer Spa. The body wraps from Suddenly Slimmer has helped me lose two pants size so far, not to mention the great detoxification I have received from having the wraps done. I feel healthier and lighter. Here is how the the body wrap works, the body wrap works by hydrating the body with minerals, for those of you who may not know what a mineral is, minerals are Calcium, phosphorous, and magnesium, copper, iron. Minerals play vital roles in several physiological functions of the body, including critical involvement in nervous system functioning, in cellular reactions, in water balance in the body, in helping the body release stored up toxins, and in structural systems, such as the skeletal system. By hydrating the body with minerals the body then is better able to release toxins that build up in the body from eating to much salt, sugar, or drinking alcohol and from taking medication. I hope this information will help some of you understand the importance of minerals to the human body but, if this little lesson did not help then you may benefit from reading a book about minerals and its benefits in helping the body to detox, rejuvenate and slim down. I was breaking out like never before. I'm in my late 40's. A combination of work, relationship, family stress, late nights, and coffee binges were probably the cause for that. Despite trying to relax and sleep early, the breakouts didnt stop. I tried many different solutions recommended by friends to try to improve the situation, but it never worked. If anything, it made my face look worse. Soon I didnt even want to acknowledge what was happening to my face with the wrinkles and deep valleys. I didnt want to see people because I didnt want to answer questions or hear people's suggestions anymore. I felt embarrassed and frustrated. I decided I needed professional help. After reading Google's reviews for skin care, I called Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa that is close to my house in Scottsdale Arizona and set a free appointment with their Skin Care Esthetician and also with their doctor. They recommended Obagi first to clean and preper my skin and later after those treatments I did Botox for my foreheand, Lips and Restylane dermafiler to "fill-in" those wrinkles and deep valley expression around my mouth and cheek. The difference is enormous more like day & night: I'm looking younger, fresh and most of all I got back my full confidence. It is so real that after one year since I start my changes I am finally engaged to be married next year (2012)! I looked at some related references and discovered SS Med Spa in Phoenix and carefully to see if they seemed like it could help me and if there were references for Asian skin. It did, and I made my call. Now I'm a regular customer with Dannielli at Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa. I have her like one of my best friend and best skin care advisor that I could asked for! The Spa has a chic tuscany and relaxing decor. The Front Desk Staff were extremely welcoming. My first facial appointment with Kelly lasted approximately 2 hours. Though she had a lot of work ahead of her, she was so friendly, patient, and very thorough. She was extremely informative about skin care, giving me tons of tips. Before going to Suddenly Slimmer, I asked if a physician- an MD- does the injections and was told, "yes." I made the appointment and saw Dr. Jeffers. My objective was to get Botox injected by a physician, as I have for the past 2 years, in the area above my nose and between my eyebrows. After a consultation with Dr. Jeffers, I decided to also have Botox injections for "crow's feet" outside of my eyes. $400 and 3 weeks later, I see no results in the area above my nose, between my eyebrows and only slight results with the crow's feet. I have been getting Botox from a dermatologist for the past 2 years and have always had great results. I was surprised at the lackluster results after this, my first visit to Dr. Jeffers at Suddenly Slimmer. When I contacted Suddenly Slimmer to question the results, I was told I need to come back in, pay more and get more injections. My husband, who is an MD, did a quick search on "Dr." Jeffers and discovered she is not an MD and did not go to medical school; technically, she is not a physician. She is a "Natropath" which, from an educational perspective, means she went to school one year longer than a nurse- in other words, she went to college for a maximum of 5 years- hardly the equivalent of medical school or what we call a "physician" or MD. I contacted Suddenly Slimmer requesting a refund, advising that I was not comfortable coming back and having more injections by someone who was not an MD / physician; furthermore, I was upset that I had been deceived when I specifically asked if a physician does the injections and advised that I wanted an MD conducting my Botox treatments. They refused to refund me even a partial amount and, again, have requested I come in, pay more and get more injectons. read more

My experience with Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa has been extraordinary! I have had multiple procedures performed throughout the past year including Botox (forehead, crow's feet, frown lines), Restylane (lips), Juvederm (lips), B12 & Lipotropic injections. The most recent procedure done about 4 weeks ago (end of July) involved injecting Juvederm Voluma into my cheeks, chin, & jowl area (and at the same time I also had Juvederm in lips). This was the very first time I had ever had any injections into my facial/cheek area and it was a significant step forward for me as I was always very nervous about any type of facial/cheek injections. Moving forward with this procedure was only possible due to the unwavering trust I had in my Cosmetic Injector, Dannielli RN. Dannielli is beyond amazingly magnificent! I travel a lot for my business and I have started my laser treatments on my bikini, chest, underarms and full back and can be a hassle for my next visit since I am not longer in the city that started the procedures. I can stay up to a month in a place doing my work of coordinating others people job and when I am done, I am shipped to the next assignment. To find a Med Spa that uses the same laser technology is the hardest part. I chose the painless system by Soprano's Alma because I had tried the other options before and it burnt pretty much my skin. I am on my 3rd treatment and needed my next and working in Phoenix for the past 2 weeks I had to shop around to find a Med Spa. I use Google Search a lot and found some places that I could book my appointment. I decided for Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa for couple reasons, one I wanted to have a doctor doing it and second an attractive place close to my hotel. From my hotel on 44 street and Washington took me about 10 min. By my 3rd session lots of hair was gone and for the price and to have it clean for good make it a sure thing to continue no matter where I am. When I arrived at the Med Spa I liked the energy around... the front desk was very sociable, friendly and right the way set me with the doctor and she explained everything thoroughly beside I told her about my previous procedures. I trully love the services that I receive at Suddenly Slimmer Day SPA. I have to say: I love what they have done with their remodeling, too. It's beautiful! From the outisde it looks like a Toscany Village and from inside, the spacious waiting area has these cool green olive walls that helps to feel at ease and relaxed ....such a friendly atmosfere. It is very inviting...... I come there for their slimming body wraps that I have done for years now. I love the effect of the minerals in my body. First, you are measured and wrapped on this bandages soaked in this concentrade minerals solution, in order for your body to utilize the minerals you are placed on their latest Gazelle machine and the Power Plater for about 30 minuts, Then comes time to be unwraped and remesuared. I normally loose anywhere between 18 to 20 inchs combined in diferent parts of my body. What makes a great difference in my clothes, besides gaining this incredably silky skin. Everytime a have a mineral body wrap my skin feels nicer, smother for many days. I did not know until then, my body wrap tech explained to me that, minerals have a strong effect in our nails, hair and skin. As she says - it is just so healthy for you. I have been coming to Suddenly Slimmer Day Spa since I moved to Phoenix 12 years ago. I have had every kind of service here from manicures, to pedicures, waxings, facials and massages and my services have been just perfect from day one. I have become friendly with the employees it is a wonderful feeling to come in and be greeted as one old friend. The spa is incredibly well run and immaculately clean. For all these years I never took the opportunity to write a review about how much I appreciate to be one of their many regular customers. Normally I do not have much time to check on Yelps about the reviews that are placed about the business in Phoenix area but with extra free time on my hand, forced vacation (waiting to find a new job). Because of my familiarity with spa one thing a notice about some those reviews where they talk about the physical space of Suddenly Slimmer; it seems that maybe they are referring about some place else. I am a professional interior designer and I know the Spa does not have an Open Breezeway. If they had one it would means one area outside of their conditioned space in summer days with the temperature run around 115 degrees and it does not make any reality sense! My close customer friendship with the spa made me takes the time to try to clarify some of the things that I know very much about and brings some reality check about the sometimes cruel marketplace. I visited the Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa in Phoenix for laser hair removal, bikini and underarms. I was mostly concerned about hyperpigmentation since I have olive skin. For my birthday, twelve of my best friends arranged a gathering for me at Suddenly Slimmer Spa. Being that it was my birthday, I was able to choose any services that I desired. I chose to have a facial & microdermabrasion. Five of my friends had elected to get paraffin manicures & pedicures, 3 had hot stone massages, 4 had deep pore cleansing facials, and one had reflexology. It was so much fun, my friends and I had a blast! The spa manager accommodated all of us in the most welcoming way I could imagine. I must compliment her and the warm spa staff on their outstanding professionalism. I have been going to suddenly slimmer for a year now and while the customer service was always a bit odd I always got the best wax! However there was always something about the place I didn't like. I have been seeing Elizabeth for my brazillian bikini waxes for the year I have been going to the spa. Elizabeth is truly a master of her craft! The spa never told me Elizabeth quit. I knew I shouldve gotten her number. The girl that waxed me instead was good and she assured me that it would be ok because she was trained by Elizabeth. Thank god. But why can't this place hold on to it's good employees? A couple other ladies waiting there said people come and go so fast. Elizabeth was awesome and I will miss her and I am heavily dissapointed in this spa for loosing her and their other good employees. I saw a Angela once when Elizabeth was on vacation and she too was fabulous and is now gone. A sign of a good buisness is the ability to have a staff that doesn't keep turning over! So Ive gone to Suddenly Slimmer A few time in the past the spa was nice the front desk was always super helpful. The two times that I went in I saw Angela who I must say was AMAZING!! That women knew how to wax! Ive been busy so its been awhile since I went in up until last week I called to make an apt and learned that Angela No longer was working there I was totally bumed but was told I could book with Dannilli who you all might know is the "queen of waxing" why she is called that I will never know so I made the apt thinking id be in good hands. I go in for my apt and end up waiting like 15mins passed my apt time the front desk girl was very sweet she offered me water which made the wait ok then finally Dannielli comes out to get me we go in to a room that looks a mess and she waxes me she seems like shes afraid to use too much wax I know were in a Recession but wow! The whole time she acts like Shes in a total rush like she had somewhere do be and it was the worse JOB ever I think Ive gone to one of those Asian places and paid 20 bucks for a better job. I was very disappointed and would NOT recommend Dannielli to anyone I'm in search of A new person now !! I will never return after that experience with their best was so horrible read more

I made an appointment to get a massage at this spa. When i arrived, they asked me to sign in and said to take a seat in the lobby until the therapist arrives. My appt was at 11am and I sat in the lobby until 11:30am waited and waited until I came up to the reservation desk to ask if everything was ok and if my therapist was running behind. The lady looked in the computer under my name and said i ididn't have a reservation in their system. I was shocked as I had gotten 2 confirmation calls from them the day before. I had to miss an important client lunch as I really needed to relax and unwind with a massage. I had to leave and they did not offer me any kind of apology--on top of everything else they had taken my credit card number when they booked me and I am eager to find out if they charged my card without my service. I've never felt so ripped off and although this place looks nice on the outside but its being run by idiots who have no idea how to run a business or a spa. I will NEVER ever go back there again. I am a senior executive and entertain out of town clients on regular basis who I recommend businesses to in my area and they just messed up and lost on insane amount of business I could've been sending them. read more

Suddenly Slimmer staff knows how to take care of a customer! Every time I visit the spa they seem to find new ways to help me truly relax and melt away my stress and worries. I have a very stressful job and the staff and Suddenly Slimmer always helps to put my body and mind back to balance. Two of my favorite services to get at the spa is the Merlot and Sauvignon Body Scrub and their awesome rejuvenation facial. I always depart the spa feeling like a new woman with my skin glowing from head to toe, my skin feels baby silky smooth after their spa treatments! I have visited the spa several times, and they have never disappointed me, it's been a real pleasure. I usually go with Dannielli, Mitta, or Jeanie. They are great! Can't get enough of the spa life, you can say that I have become addicted to relaxation I get from the spa. A friend of mine recommend me this place, that she knows for the past 2 years; where she gets laser hair removal on her legs, arms, underarms, bikini area plus skin resurfacing, Botox and fillers. I called Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa for the Laser Hair Removal; I didn't want keep going every time for my Brazilian bikini waxing plus some stubborn facial and arm/leg hair. It start becoming like a ritual obligation and I am that kind of individual that likes freedom a lot and needed to get it taken care once and for all. The Spa building impressed me a lot from outside and as I came in it has a lovely interior decoration and very welcoming front desk girls. The medical aesthetician was very professional and friendly. Their prices are in a reasonable range. When I first came in for consultation, the medical director went over all my options, how long it would take to see the results, and how much it would cost. Coolsculpting. Wow, what a life changing experience. I just went to my 90 day cool sculpting follow up to compare the before and after images from the treatment on my stomach and love handles. I was so happy when I saw the difference and how much flatter my stomach was. The melting of fat is a process over three months so you don't really notice it right away but you notice your clothes fitting so much better. The proof was in the before and after photos. I had been to three different companies and chose Suddenly Slimmer since they had the best price and the team was so wonderful to work with. They answered all of my questions and on the day of the procedure, really did a nice job to put me at ease. Jeanie did my treatment and it was very relaxing. There is a five minute period when they remove the machine from your skin that is not fun but it's over just as quick as it started. I had a great time showing my friends and family my before and after pictures and I'm sure some of them will be in to Suddenly Slimmer soon to have their cool sculpting. read more

I was then taken to a room to get a Visia Skin Analysis, which shows variations in the skin, any particular areas of opportunity, and ways to prevent certain forms of damage. Urgent Care confirmed it was fractured, with a deviated septum and slight (but obvious to me) deformation. After much research, I called their front office - knowing this was a timely matter they got me in the same week. After the consultation, Dr Paquet recommended a Closed Nasal Reduction to pop the bone back out and scheduled me for surgery the next week to ensure it would be done within 14 days. This was my first surgery, so I was very nervous but his team was warm and tender throughout the entire experience. Cece & Sarah were my nurses - they really took the time to make sure I was okay and checked on me frequently while I waited. Dr Paquet (Anesthesiologist) came in with a smile and made sure all my questions were answered and calmed my fears. Tasha and Jeffrey prepped me and made sure I felt comfortable and safe. And last but not least, Dr Paquet (Surgeon) made sure I was ready to roll and then had me out in 16 minutes! It's now one week later and I couldn't be happier. My nose is exactly how it was before. 11/10 experience!
