Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. The entire restaurant was decked out in owl decor, from the menus, clocks, glasses, wall decorations, cookie jars and trinkets, just to name a few. Speaking of service, our server spent so much time MIA I wasn't sure if she actually worked there or was just passing through. Then came the gift shop adventure. I bought 6 adoarable Toasted Owl branded cups, only to be told after I paid that they were used. Since buying previously owned & used restaurant drinkware isn't really my thing, I asked for a refund. The response? "Unfortunately, you already paid for them." I'm not in the tech industry, but I was under the impression someone had invented a way for money to travel in both directions. I think they call it... a refund. If you're looking for burnt toast, a sauerkraut mountain, surprise used merchandise, and customer service that's more of a rumor than a reality, this is your place.
