I had my first sugar waxing yesterday and it went so well. The girls at S + B are so kind and warm. I had my waxing done with Jessica, who was super sweet and carefully walked me through the process, making sure I was doing okay and if I needed to take a break at any time. They also have a 2 waxes for $49 promotion going on for new clients! Overall my experience was great (aside from the little pain I endured- which, by the way, is so much LESS painful than regular waxing. I have thick, coarse, dark hair but Jessica informed me as I continue the waxing the hair will thin and it'll hurt much less!). read more

Made an appointment here weeks in advance as recommended by other reviews. Overall great experience. I was extremely nervous about my first sugaring. I've waxed once and did not have a good experience. This was as good of a first sugaring experience I could have hoped for. Not too painful and went by fairly quickly and very thorough. I honestly feel guilty writing this considering the numerous positive reviews, but my sugaring Brazilian experience was less than stellar. Some background: I get waxed on a consistent basis with no shaving between appointments. I originally decided to try sugaring because a friend of mine told me it was less painful than waxing-- not the case today. I'm not sure if it was because it was my first time or my sugar-er, but to my ladies looking for a less painful experience than waxing (who have a decent amount of hair) beware. Additionally, some hair left over (I was told this is because of my waxing cycle... ok fine, I'll take it) I'm planning to go back only because their first timer promo is pay 1, get 1 free, so gonna give it another chance with a different sugar-er and hope for a better experience. read more

Love this place! I've been waxing my whole life and no matter what I do, or where I go, I get awful ingrown hairs. And it also still hurts every time (I don't care what they say that it gets easier). I tried sugaring on a whim and I LOVE it. I think I'm a convert for life! It's very similar to waxing, in that they use something sticky to yank hair out of your body. But it's a unique technique that I find to be WAY less painful than waxing. I also had great results - the hair took much longer to grow back, and I didn't have nearly the ingrowns I usually do. If you're giving a bad review simply because your sugared Brazilian hurt then sorry to break it to you but of course it's going to hurt, you're not getting your nails done girl. I've been to other sugaring salons in the city and nothing compares to sugared and bronzed. Amanda was amazing and made me feel super comfortable the whole time and explained everything! She was fast which to me was good (less pain) and did a great job. I also really liked that this salon is more clean, welcoming and more attentive to the clients needs than other like places like Sugaring NYC. When I had my first sugaring experience there the girl microwaved the sugar, put no cleanser on me before sugaring, and added some random lotion at the end that didn't feel that great. At sugared and bronzed they use a natural cleanser before, after and offer applying coconut oil to protect the skin. Amazing! Plus, if it's your first time here you get 2 Brazilians for the price of one. Can't beat that! Never going anywhere else to get sugared. read more

I got a spray tan here last week. They offer four colors from day in the sun to summer in the sun and offer regular dry or express day for 10 dollars extra. I got the regular dry and the bronze color (3rd darkest). Loved the color, although it did get on my hands and was a bit splotchy even though I exfoliated before as they recommend. The whole thing took about 20 minutes. I like the fact that they offer a 2 for one special for first time users. I'm planning on coming back :) read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I went for the spray tan a month ago and received so many compliments I had to go back for a second! I've never received a more natural looking spray tan in my life! This time I also tried the sugaring for a Brazilian. It was my first time receiving a Brazilian and I'm not gonna lie it hurt really bad. STAY FAR AWAY.. I am mortified at how terrible my tan turned out here. My tan was fine for hardly even a day then it began to streak and fade immediately. I look like I have a skin disease and it will not come off. It's been a week and I have been scrubbing my skin raw in the shower but this cheap tan will literally not come off my skin. I have had many spray tans at one other location in ny and have never had these issues. Whatever product they use here is tacky and feels disgusting and fake against your skin. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. read more

I use sunless tanners at home all the time but went in for the works before a wedding last week. I'm fair but opted for the darkest tan anyway and I'm glad I did. While it initially looked super dark (almost grey) on me, after I showered the next morning it was great! It lasted through my 5 days in Mexico, fading first from my face and torso. It always fades fast on me for some reason, no matter where I go. It was totally even and beautiful, no streaks or missed spots anywhere and the girl who did it was great. Am thinking about looking into a membership as it's so much easier to do it here than on my own. read more

Obsessed. AMAZING. The employees are awesome, fun and welcoming. Did not feel uncomfortable stripping down, very clean! Tanning experience was fun. Not pushy on selling extra products. Followed up to see how my tan was the next day! Just a great experience. Lastly my tan is Perfectttt. Yes a little rub off after and felt sticky but totatttaly normal. I'm a huge fan of sugared and bronzed! The place is really clean and always makes me feel like I'm ready to go on a summer getaway by the way the place is decorated. I've only been sugared a few times and I can say I have never felt more comfortable than at this place! The girls there are sweet and make you feel welcomed and comfortable. As we all know waxing is not always a good feeling but they make it comfortable here and talk you through all steps. I will say it is kind of hard to get in touch with the receptionist and its hard to get an appointment. I love this place! This place is super cute and clean and has great hair removal services. They also have eco friendly tanning which looks super cool. The technicians and staff are always super friendly and they have water and tea available for customers while you wait. I just learned about sugaring and have really grown to love it. It takes a little bit of time to get used to it but I prefer the way my skin feels afterwards and prefer it to wax. It even hurts a little less than waxing. I was a first-time spray tanner at Sugared and Bronzed. Overall, it was a great experience. The whole process took about 15-20 minutes. I did the express tan where you leave the tanning solution on for 1-4 hours according to how tan you want to get. I got a nice, streak-free tan. It lasted about 1 week, but I have super dry skin which decreases the longevity of the tan. The staff were friendly and efficient. The girls at the front desk talked down to me as if I was some idiot. My spray tan is terribly patchy. My face looks awful my legs have stripes that vary in color. This is the best spray tan salon I've been to in the city. There are quick, but do a very good job. I also like that they offer express tans that allow you to shower after only 1-4 hours depending on how dark you want to be. Happy I found this gem! EVERYONE who works there is super nice.
