Avoid this place at all costs. Incredibly rude people at the front desk. There are plenty of other sugaring places in NYC. Still, they claim to be the only ones. They offer 10% off for a nice review on Yelp so don't get fooled. They should hire a much better team and train them at customer service. I love this place. I've had 2 brazilians (my first brazilian ever) so far and the 2 women (Kelly and the second I never got her name!) who performed the service on both separate occasions were friendly, attentive and considerate. They both talked to me about their lives and asked me about mine, which really helped pass the time, and frequently asked me if I was ok (because brazilians hurt like a... pitch). I love that they use sugar wax, which is a natural form of wax, and having bought wax strips at the drugstore and using them on my legs and bikini area years ago with no success and TONS of pain and irritation for days after, this experience was no comparison. The first time I got a brazilian, I was pretty sore walking around in Manhattan for several hours afterward, but the second time, I was less sore and for a less amount of time. The hairs don't grow back as quickly and as thick as they would if you shave or trim which makes getting a brazilian before you go away on a trip or vacation ideal. I was smooth and pimple-free for a month both times! They recommend putting coconut oil on it to soothe the area and I recommend it, too. As for customer service, I've only had good experiences. I emailed them months after my first appointment because I didn't know if the complimentary service would expire if I don't go back in 4 weeks for a follow-up (which is what I was told to do), but they told me that I didn't and assured me that it would stay on my record. The entire email experience was professional and surprisingly pleasant because we emailed back and forth several times in that one sitting! Also, if you're wondering, you can go back to get another brazilian when the hairs are as long as a grain of rice. I'm so happy I picked this place to get my first brazilian and my second. I'm looking forward to going back before I go away on vacation again during the summer! read more

Love going here for my sugaring Brazilian. I recommend the switch from hot or hard wax tosugaring for anyone. Less painful and easier on the skin too. The atmosphere here is soothing, everyone is really friendly, and the whole process is very sanitary and eco-friendly to boot. The two times I have come here have both been really pleasant experiences (as pleasant as getting a Brazilian can get). Loved my experience here! I've been looking for a salon that I could consistently go to for my waxes and it's been hard. So much to choose from in NYC and really wanted something that was clean and affordable. I did some research and saw great things about Sugared + Bronzed so I decided to give them a try. I will go back for another Brazilian and spray tan : I got the Brazilian which was very smooth and then immediately spray tanned : that's the way they recommend it and my tan came out awesome : after conferring with Miley we went with the express tan and it came out sooo awesome and lasted 7 days : I didn't buy there tan extender bcz I wasn't sure I would love the tan but I did so next time I will buy that so I can extend it read more

I love this place! I used to go to the Bronzed location in Philly, and am so glad they opened a location in NYC. They do a really great job with airbrushes. Mine have all come out very even, and I have received a lot of compliments with the color and how natural it looks. Not orange at all! Let me start by saying I have never gotten a wax of any kind before, and was always too nervous to ever do it. But I was going on a beach vacation, and my friend recommended it. I had never heard of sugaring before, but after reading all the reviews I decided to go for it. Best decision ever. Making an appointment online was so easy, and I got the 2 for $39 each deal, which is fantastic. On my way to the appointment, I was delayed due to subway issues and I was able to text them (I know!) to let them know I was running late but that I would be there. I am not a person who is late to things, so I was mortified that I was 5 minutes later (when I meant to be early) and I burst in all, "I'm so sorry!" and they could not have been nicer or more understanding. My sugarist (is that the term? let's say that's the term), Kathryn, was waiting for me and put me at ease immediately. The whole process was honestly completely fine - it wasn't 'comfortable' per se, but was not at all painful, and was over in 10 minutes. And the best part? No redness, no irritation, no itching after, NOTHING. I am a full sugaring convert. I will absolutely be back for my second sugaring, and would definitely try the spray tan too. I have to say, after much research and after getting, what felt like, my skin unhealthily ripped off of my private parts by waxing, I decided to try sugaring. I started out at another place with a similar "Sugaring" name, however, I found their prices to be way too expensive and I honestly was not that impressed with the results (there were a few hairs leftover). I decided to search for another place that did sugaring and I found Sugared + Bronzed. I was impressed with their price. Only $49 for a brazilian sugaring and as a first customer you pay $49 for two brazilian sugarings! I have had my 2 brazilians already and I have to say-I am very impressed with the results. Erin makes every effort to get every hair, she is thorough, explains the sugaring ingredients, tries to make you feel comfortable (even when you're a nervous, sweaty mess!) and she is honest about the process. The staff is nice, it is an eco and vegan friendly salon, and super clean. I wish that they had more locations, especially in Midtown (Erin advised that they are working on it and trying to find the right people). I have my third sugaring appointment in 2 days and I plan to make more appointments in the future! read more

I've always been super hesitant about getting a spray-tan because of fear of streaking, looking orange, etc. but I'd heard great things about Sugar + Bronz and could not be happier. I was tanned by Chloe (she's amazing and the only one i'm seeing from now on) and the entire process is so quick and easy from start to finish and they give you instructions for before and after and sell amazing products. It's also VERY well priced for a salon of such quality. The decor is adorable, cute books to read while waiting, they'll get you in faster than your appointment time normally, really nice staff, and an overall extremely perfect process. I'm going to try the sugaring next because i never have but have heard great things but loved the tanning and am going back ASAP :) The second tan is also free which is AMAZING and if you refer people you can save $10 so it's very worth it. I will never even try another salon because I had such an incredible experience that there is no reason for me. read more

This was the BEST spray tan I've ever had (and I've tried too many). The shop is super cute and all of the girls working were very friendly and accommodating. The tanning room is well equipped with paper thongs, shower caps, and baby wipes, AND they let you apply your own blocking lotion - so great because YOU know your dry spots best! I chose the express formula, which I recommend. I am VERY pale, and was able to shower in just an hour which developed a color that was a light bronze and did not look unnatural at all (which is next to impossible on my skin). Since this was my first visit and I didn't have any events to go to, I decided to really put the formula to the test - I didn't moisturize, used regular soap, worked out every day, and showered in steaming hot water, and the tan lasted a solid 8 days before beginning to show serious signs of fading. I can imagine that with proper care, this tan really could last a full 10 days and withstand pools/beaches/vacation! I'm super excited to have discovered Sugared + Bronzed and will be back! read more
