Excellent service, our sushi rolls were so good and our waitress Alisa made it an enjoyable experience

It was my birthday dinner , First and foremost the food was amazing. Our waitress Shelby made sure that we were well taken care of. Anything that we ask for she took care of immediately. Our Teppanyaki chef was Top Notch. Mind you this was at 9:30 at night when people are truly tired and have dealt with so many other people. Yet they made us so comfortable . I'm not sure where to even begin!! The service, or lack there of, started immediately as our party of 9 sat down and was not greeted for almost 20 minutes. Upon which our server was inaudible and was unfamiliar with the drinks the restaurant had to offer. We all ordered drinks and food at the same time, because we had so much time to look at the menu!! Another 15 minutes goes by before our drinks came out; did I mention 8 people got water and 1 got an iced tea!? After another 15-20 minutes the server brings out the soup and salad at the same time. Within minutes of us receiving our soups and salads, our chef comes out to begin cooking. The chef was good, the seafood was excellent and the fried rice was amazing. During the entire time the chef was cooking, we never saw our server again. We had other servers get us more water and I never saw another iced tea for the remainder of the evening. I found out later when the check was due as to why we never saw our server again....he had "lost" my credit card!! I had presented the card to the hostess to make sure the bill was taken care of for everyone; she provided the card to the server and during the course of the evening, lost the credit card. We had 5:30 reservations and did not leave until 8:10, and not because we all chose to stay there that late. After we got home, a member of our party wanted to pitch in on the bill and when we told them what had happened, they informed us that they saw our server drop something where the chef would be standing in front of the griddle. I immediately called the restaurant and provided information to the check in desk as to who I was and what had happened. At that point, was promptly put on hold for over 45 minutes. By this time it was almost 10 PM on a work night and I had to hang up because I realized that not a person seemed to care. I had high hopes for this restaurant as we had been told what a great place it was. The only thing great about this restaurant is the view; pasted that I would have received better service from the staff at Black Angus and that restaurant has been closed for 3 years. read more

Positives: the food was delicious, especially the steak. The chefs are great and the environment has fun energy, just like any other teppenyaki/hibachi place. The rooftop panoramic views are great for sunset and picture taking. Cons: this was one of the most expensive teppenyaki places I've been to and I don't think they are any more special than any other place. We had a room rented out for a birthday (20 people) and it took about 30 minutes from sitting down to placing our food and drink order, and then no one checked in during out stay to see if we wanted any drink refills until the very end when we were eating dessert, which frankly, was a missed opportunity on their part because we would have ordered another glass or two of wine each. Overall not a bad place to eat but didn't blow my mind either, so middle of the road three stars. read more

10/10 experience. Jarret was our sushi chef, and he took care of my wife and I the whole night! He gave us the 5 star sushi treatment when we asked, and he didn't disappoint. All the selections he served us were quality items and delicious. We ended the experience with the A5 wagyu, and if you haven't had it yet, I would highly recommend it. Chef Masa's take on the wagyu was creative, and the steak melts in your mouth. It's more on the pricey but definitely worth the experience. We will be back again! read more

I am rating Sukai 4 stars only because I was there for an event and cannot speak to the wait staff and service however, based solely on the food I had, it was delicious and I will be going back. I am usually not one for sushi with a seaweed wrap because I am sensitive to the flavor but boy am I glad I looked past that when trying theirs - I didn't taste the seaweed at all, it was great. Their chicken was pretty typical of other teppanyaki restaurants but the waygu fried rice was a nice spin on the classic. Their gyoza and dipping sauces were also full of flavor. Came over for dinner while staying overnight at the hotel. Location, location, location. Beautiful roomy restaurant with an amazing view, the food though could use a little more work. Located at the very top of the table mountain casino hotel, the restaurant is strategically positioned for an amazing view during your meal. Promptly greeted as soon as waking in and was taken to their holding pattern area which has a little bar, comfortable seating and a balcony. Upon getting seated noticed the tables are placed well apart. The cooks even have stations behind them with sinks. The tables themselves give a little more room than your average teppanyaki table from where the food is cooked to where your sitting. Otherwise your still siting somewhat close to another person but that's normal. The chef cooked everyone's meal and also provided everyone with two sauces for the meal. I got the filet which has to of been one of the most tender cuts I've ever had. As far as flavor is lacking seasoning. Same with the bacon fried rice. One might say maybe I had the rona, but I also had the ranchería roll and it was delicious as well as the soup, dipping sauces and even the vanilla ice cream. The chef was nice and answered other customers questions but was otherwise a little bland. Made the usual onion volcano but nothing else. He did offer more sauce before he left since others where hitting up for it. A good option for an amazing view with good food that lacks a little flavor. Check in at the desk before heading up the elevator. If you have a wait time, you can get a drink at the bar/deck area. Private rooms are available first come, first served. You can reserve a private room with a full party of 14. The public area is very spacious so private rooms aren't really necessary. The food is slightly higher than in the city. The food was delicious and made to order...and plenty of it! Servers were on their toes and never let drinks get below half full. The bathrooms are very clean and the women's bathroom has automatic seat covers. If you are going for an evening of fun, it's certainly worth it. I don't think I would make a special trip just for dinner since we have several Teppanyaki places in our area at a more affordable price that are just as tasty and fulfilling. However, again, as I stated above, if you are making a night of it, it's worth it! read more

I've been here a few times for the teppanyaki and each time I would ask for Kyra. She always greets me and my guests with a big smile and attends our party. The atmosphere is overall one of the better places to dine here in the Fresno location. The beautiful view right at sunset is my favorite to take pictures. I don't understand why they have 3 1/2 star but when you first walk it's very clean and elegant . The service was great the ambience. The food was very good and they had me at the salad if you like wasabi they have this amazing wasabi salad dressing, and just a regular garden salad with tomatoes some Romain lettuce, carrots, but it was absolutely delicious The Chilean Seabass was cooked to perfection. We went to Sukai for my birthday dinner. Our reservation was for 13 people at 8:00 pm. Our party arrived 10 til 8:00 pm. They directed us to the balcony to wait for our table and after about 35 minutes, our table was ready. When we sat down, our waitress seemed annoyed and was a bit rude. One of my guests asked for tea, and she said she needed to check if it was possible, but my guest had to remind her again if there was tea. After bringing our drinks, she forgot the straws, when another guest asked her if she could have a straw she said not right now. When it came time to order, she told us the bill could only be split four ways, which was fine, but as we tried to explain how we wanted to split it, she left to help another table before we finished. She was very impatient. There were other issues with the service, but I won't list them all. The only saving grace of the evening was the chef. He was pleasant, interactive and the food was delicious. And the chef didn't even start cooking our food until around 9:45pm, from an 8:00 pm reservation. Our family doesn't eat out often, but we chose Sukai for a special occasion and were hoping for a relaxing experience. The restaurant is pricier than we usually choose, but we wanted something memorable. We were charged an 18% gratuity, which I would have been fine with if the service had been good, but unfortunately, it was not. We told the manager about our concerns; she checked in once but didn't follow up. The waitress was a little better after we spoke up, but she still seemed unhappy. Overall, we felt unwelcome and as if we were a burden. This experience was unacceptable. Also we would like all four reciepts- the waitress mixed up the tabs. The food and service were good overall, but the restaurant was extremely cold. In the waiting room there is bar and outdoor patio with a large floor to ceiling panel door that was open letting all the cold night air in. We did Teppanyaki and our cook was nice, but not at all entertaining or engaging. We ordered the chicken, which was very juicy and delicious. All of the food was flavorful and nicely seasoned. Overall a good experience, but being cold took away from experience and cook was boring, which hi don't expect for Teppanyaki. My husband and I had our first date night in over 5 months since bringing home a new baby. We've been wanting to check out the remodeled Table Mountain so we chose Sukai for dinner. We had reservations (highly recommend to make a few weeks prior if you want to go on a weekend) at 4 pm and got there around 3:55 pm. Beautiful setting and views. Service was slow. We were at the bar and it took 20 minutes to get drinks. We were seated about 30 minutes after our reservation for teppanyaki. Food was just ok, I've had better. The chef was upset when one of the members of our party said they couldn't have mushrooms, chef left our area for 10+ minutes before coming back to cook for us. Unfortunately, I have to give this place a 1 star. I had reservations for 2 at 7pm, wasn't seated until 745pm. We went to the "bar" which was a mobile cart with limited capacity. The set up was bad...bottles on a plastic table?! We ordered their "signature" leechee martini and was served in a short cocktail glass. Apparently, martini glasses were out(?). The restaurant was not full, there were teppan tables empty. We sat down, waiter took our drink orders and food orders. The menu items changed and were not reflected...we ordered garlic fried rice...not available. Another 20 mins pass by before we get our starters and 10 min after, appetizers and cook show up. The cook was good, but took too much time preparing the meal. By the time the meat was done, the rice was really cold. The restaurant is nice inside, elegant and clean. Overall, really disappointed in reservations, bar set up and service times. For the limited menu and price, not worth the trip. Definitely expected much more. read more

It's ok, you'll average about $50/person for normal teppanyaki food but at least it's still bacon fried rice. I find most of the teppanyaki places taste the same.
