The menu is pretty limited, we ordered the mango cheese sulbing, The mango was perfectly ripe and sweet, the cheese that they add is supposed to be cheesecake (and it is) but moreso on the cheesier side than sweet, almost savory. We shared a regular sized bowl between 3 people and it was just enough for us to enjoy as a dessert. What appears to be ice cream on top was not vanilla ice cream, it was more like a yogurt ice cream and was refreshing. Overall the bowl was good but for the limited menu I'd have to give it a 3. If they had the regular strawberry bowl with cheesecake (instead of that premium strawberry bowl with one single slice of cheesecake on top??) Came to have dessert after having delicious KBBQ with my relatives. I appreciate that they have a self-checkout station so that the workers can start cranking out orders as soon as they receive them. I got to try the strawberry cheesecake with condensed milk on the side. I appreciate that they have small bowls on the side so that you and your group can share. The amount of fruit to shaved ice was if not, I think perfect! What's nice is that as soon as you are finished, they have a rack to put your trays on so that they can take them and clean them for the next order. In the middle they give a big scoop of yogurt flavored sorbet. We got here around 1230-1245pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating and only take 5-10min for it to be ready. The cafe itself is fairly deep so there is a good amount of seating although it feels a little bit cold inside the restaurant. There is free wifi and the password is on the receipt. The mangos were pretty tart and the snow was pretty fine although not flavored. After we were more than halfway done we started getting some of the sweetened condensed milk they include. I wish the sweetened condensed milk was more evenly distributed or if they would just put more of it. Overall for $20 after tax, I'm not sure I would come back for this but many people also come for the injeolmi which is a peanut butter flavored shaved ice with red bean. read more

Ok so hear me out everything looked really pretty but not everything tasted as good as it looked. The premium strawberry Sulbing was really enjoyable. The shaved ice had a yogurt like taste that I really enjoyed. The red bean one though was too dry. I think their fruit based ones will just be better (waiting for them to release the melon and king mango flavors). The croffle was way too dry. It was hard to pull apart. My partner really liked the pizza which wws an unusual choice I know. The major minus though was the wait time. I expected it for a weekend of course but more than an hour before they even took an order that was way too much a wait. I understand it is a soft opening but perhaps they could have a ticket system in place for the wait. I really hope the waits or the method of the waiting process changes for the better. Came here with my daughter on a Saturday during a heatwave so the place was packed and super busy. There wasn't a lot of seating, so while I waited in line to place our order, my daughter found a table for us to sit. There were 2 touch screen monitors where you place your order and pay and you get a receipt with your order number. I waited about 15 minutes in line then another 20-25 minutes to get my order. It was very hard to find seats but it didn't take too long for us to get our food. I was in the Santa Clara area on a warm Thursday evening in August and I decided I wanted something sweet to close out the evening. After looking yet again on my Yelp app for ideas, i found Sulbing, located right off El Camino Real in the Koreatown area of Santa Clara. Parking is a snap as they share a large parking lot with many other small businesses. There was only 1 kiosk to order through and no human beings to do so. After about 10 mins, we placed our order and found one of the few remaining seats in the decently sized dining area, which is to say that many others had this same notion to have some shaved ice on this warm August evening. After about another 15 mins, our order number was called out on a video board. We decided to try their Strawberry shaved ice dessert. First off, there was some fresh strawberries on the top, with some mochi chubbies below that, then a layer of shaved ice and then red bean paste filling out the bottom of the bowl. So delicious! There is an ordering stand where you use a kiosk to order so there is usually a small line. We were lucky when we walked in this time and the people in front of us just finished. We picked the tiramisu and there is a display of the sulbings and from the model it looked like there were no ice cream balls so we ordered an extra green tea ball. There is ample seating inside as well so we didn't have to wait long once we sat down. There are tv screens that display when your order number is ready and when we picked up our sibling, to our surprise we saw that there are actually 3 vanilla ice cream balls already included. They forgot to give us our extra green tea ice cream but handed it to me when I asked. There are also small cups that you get to split the dessert. The shaved ice is extremely fine and fluffy and so delicious. There's a pour over coffee included and the chocolate shavings and cocoa dusting makes this nicely chocolate-y. I was in the Santa Clara area for dinner last week and because it was a warm'ish night, I felt the need to go look for some cool dessert in the area. Through my Yelp app, I found Sulbing because I was craving some Shaved Ice. They're in a strip mall with a bunch of other restaurants and small businesses right off of El Camino Real. Ordering is done via one kiosk next to the pick-up counter. We decided to go with their Strawberry Sulbing. For a Thursday night, almost every table in this decently sized space was occupied. It took about 15 mins for our ready to be called on the reader board. For the Strawberry shaved ice, there was fresh strawberry on top, then shaved ice, then red bean at the bottom. There was also a Mochi round on top. This was not just pure shaved ice but a more complete dessert which was a nice surprise. If I'm in the area, I would like to come back to try more of their menu out. They had a Melon Yogurt dessert that looked to be a popular order for the other customers here on this night. read more

This chain is pretty well known in Korea and we were excited to try it here in the bay but unfortunately the overall experience didn't live up to our expectations. We decided to take them to go, as we went to the counter to place an order the staff told us that it would be an extra $2 per bingsu for a to go order?? Mind you it had already been 15-20min since getting there, we just decided to order two bingsus to-go. I know the packaging is more involved for to-go orders but $2 per bingsu seems excessive (especially because we pretty much had no choice but to order take out due to the lack of seating) When we placed our order the staff said it would take about 20 minutes. In reality it took over 40 minutes to receive our order. The bingsu itself was pretty good, just wish there was a little more condensed milk.
