After the table seated after ours was greeted and drink orders taken, I asked their server if there was someone different who was supposed to be helping us, we would also like drinks and were seated before they were. It's Friday and we need martinis. He ends up coming back and said he'll be helping our table as well. 7:25 we get our drinks. It was loud and chaotic. Everyone was clearly in the weeds but there wasn't customer service that should prevail in these situations. Bread. Smiling. Someone needed to be on the floor as a buffer. We decided internally we wouldn't be staying for a full dinner and ordered 2 salads. It took another 30 minutes for the salads. Oh, I ordered the deviled egg caviar app that they comped because it took over an hour. Would've canceled that but person in our party really wanted that salad. Do not recommend. read more

Things are changing for the better at Sullivans now that they have a new young manager focused on perfect dishes and improving the overall experience. We started with the Seafood Tower. We're talking a mountain of jumbo shrimp, crab legs, tuna poke, two lobster tails, and oysters. You'll pay market price but worth the deliciousness. For Christmas dinner we ordered the Tomahawk Trio for Two, currently priced at $199. The two 8oz lobster tails and 32oz Ribeye were cooked to perfection and included a bottle of wine. Highly recommend the asparagus risotto side. Our meal was topped off by impeccable service provided by Veronica who paced our meal, ensuring a fine dining experience that never felt rushed. read more

Took 30 minutes to get them the sliders were dry and buns were hard asked for Dijon mustard got honey mustard, chips were ok just Luke warm not hot. From the beginning it was weird. The hostess would have rather took the time to go dump the garbage and do something else besides just seat us at a table. So we had to wait several minutes for her to come. Ok whatever. Some guy came over and filled our waters and I thought maybe that was one of his jobs but no he was just another waiter and never spoke to him again after that. He did inform us that our waitress was finishing up with a large party and would be over shortly. Eventually she came over and things started off good with her but went south after our main course came out. My martini took a long time to come to the table too. She barely checked on us, waters became empty and the food was SALTY! She was in the other room, talking to other tables and of course running cards at the register. So I waited until she noticed that our waters were empty, sometimes I like to see how long it takes people to notice these basic things. When she finally filled our waters she asked how everything was. I said it was super salty but we were hungry so we ate it anyways and we've been out of water for awhile. The Brussel sprouts were salty, the $145 tomahawk was stupid salty, the lobster was on the cold side and we were out of water. So yeah I was pissy. You're spending $206 on dinner, DO BETTER. Sorry but I have been to high end restaurants in Vegas, Seattle and have had the best service! So I know what it looks like. At least act like you want my money and make us feel special. read more

Sullivan's you disappoint! Thanksgiving Dinner! Complete fail. Reservations for two weeks!! Menu looked amazing. Our reservation was for 4:45. We got our salad by 6. Dinner at 6:45 but the meal was so sparse and cold. Husband ate his and half of mine and decided to get an other meal to go since he was still hungry. They wouldn't sell him one because they didn't have enough to sell him one extra. Guess that's why our proportion to us was so small. Thanksgiving dinner was served on salad plates. We were so shocked at the child portion meal!! And on Thanksgiving!! No ice water was served us. They ran out of desserts!! They ran out of the soup that was on the Thanksgiving menu option. They did not serve rolls with the Thanksgiving meal!! One forkful of mashed potatoes serving size! Complete disaster!!! The couple at the next table had been there since 3 and it was 6:30 when they finally got fed and were done. We also had to wait for turkey to come out of the oven. ( It wasn't roast turkey as advertised) so no dark meat but only white rolled turkey meat. A bit processed! No ice in the Iced tea ( in a dirty glass). They ran out of lemons so no lemon in the iced tea or in the soda water ordered with lemon. They credited us the entire meal except for the beverages. But to be hungry on Thanksgiving was a new result especially for my man!! The staff was in a full conundrum!! Footnote!! It seems they were taking orders and selling unreserved Thanksgiving dinner orders to go. Many meals were lined up in large paper bags waiting pick up when we arrived. This was a redemption dinner and it was actually worse than the first time I ate here. Had a late 8:30pm reservation and it was still busy. There were no menus available so we had to sit without any menu for a couple of minutes. No drink menu either. We had two people tell us they were not our server and that our server would be with us shortly. Finally we got a drink menu but still only had one dinner menu. They didn't have the menu for the pre fixed dinner. So the waitress has to tell it to us, which she did very well reciting it. Service was very slow though. The entire restaurant was very Smokey. Despite all that I was rooting for the food which disappointed. My medium rare steak was well done and very dry. The mashed potatoes were actually better than the steak. Bread was good and dessert was ok. I had the bread pudding but the bread was hard and not easy to cut. I have to say that the shrimp lobster bisque was actually really yummy. I wouldn't get anything else on the menu besides the pre fixed dinner for $49 only because the rest of the menu is ala Carte so it can get pricey. Downside to the pre fixed dinner is that the cuts are smaller and not that good. I don't think I will be coming to Sullivan's again though. I think it's overrated. read more

I have to say I am very, very disappointed in the bad service we experienced at Sullivans. We had reservations at 4:00p.m. Sunday, May 4th. Two staffers at the reception desk were so engrossed in a conversation, it took them several minutes to acknowledge our party. And from there it went downhill. Once we were seated, the waiter did not come back to take our order for another 20 minutes. Our salads came about a half an hour later. We waited another 40 minutes. Another group that arrived about an hour after we did was seated next to us. They were served food while we were still waiting for our entrees. I finally went to the manager to complain -- and yet we waited until 6:00 p.m for our entrees to arrive. Actually the appetizers arrived with the main meals, but my entree was missing. One of the entrees was cold. The waiter did bring an additional side dish of creamed spinach to offer free of charge. But what I wanted was my dinner. The waiter told me my order had not been prepared yet. I had to tell him not to bother with my meal, because we were planning to meet up with some friends at 6:30. When I confronted the waiter, we just got a litany of excuses -- and not a very genuine sense of apology. I said we can understand staffing shortages, but you have an obligation to keep your customers informed about the status of their orders. Sullivan's is one of Anchorage's upscale restaurants -- and feel we deserved better, paying a premium price for a meal that basically spoiled our evening. We were a group of friends who live far apart and don't see each other often. I don't think I'll ever go to Sullivan's again, I'm sad to say. read more

I brought my team here for a holiday lunch. Fourteen of us sat in the private room and received outstanding service. At first, I thought this was because 1) it was a Monday afternoon and 2) they knew we were coming well in advance. But after escaping the room to hit the bathroom at one point during the lunch, they were surprisingly busy and the two same servers who were waiting on us appeared to be the only two servers on the clock. We ordered the following as a pre-fix menu: - Tuna tartare - Crab cake - Shrimp cocktail - Lobster bisque - Caesar salad - Salmon - Filet mignon - Mashed potatoes - Potatoes au gratin - Strawberry cheesecake - Key lime pie Everything was delicious except the potatoes au gratin, which were way undercooked. My filet came out perfectly rare, as ordered. They could have thrown us a vegetable, but fresh ones are tough to come by in Alaska. Great classic steakhouse atmosphere but they really need to do something about the ventilation. Either close the open kitchen concept or invest in some hoods. Leaving a restaurant smelling like the restaurant is probably one of my biggest pet peeves. Regardless, I will almost certainly be back. read more

I also want to express my appreciation for my wonderful waitress Zoey who was quite attentive without being intrusive. That's the end of my positive thoughts about the Sullivan's in Anchorage. The before dinner cocktail was their PASSION FLOWER with Grey Goose Vodka, St-Germain, Freshly Squeezed Lime, Passion Fruit, Champagne Splash. Nothing special just okay. I ordered wine for my "fresh seafood" appetizers--CAKEBREAD CELLARS SAUVIGNON BLANC Napa Valley, California. A good wine but not spectacular. "Sorry, we're out." Substitute MATANZAS CREEK WINERY SAUVIGNON BLANC Sonoma County, California -- not a close second. Pass on it. Appetizers: OYSTERS ROCKEFELLER Four Oysters topped with Nueske's Thick-Cut Bacon, Creamed Spinach. The bacon would be better incorporated if thinly sliced instead of offered in awkward chunks. JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE Jumbo Lump Crab Meat PROCESSED NOT FRESH, Napa Slaw, and Roasted Garlic Tartar Sauce. This was exceedingly disappointing given that they could easily have utilized fresh crab meat--after all, this Sullivan's is in Alaska! The dish was akin to Thanksgiving dressing not a traditional crab cake. Dry! Nothing utilized to bind it. The saving grace was the FRENCH ONION SOUP with Gruyère, Swiss, and Parmesan! Well perhaps the Entrée will save the dinner. FILET MIGNON 8 OZ with OSCAR STYLE Jumbo Lump Crab, Asparagus, and Béarnaise Sauce. Perfectly prepared medium rare steak! Processed lump crab out of a bucket or can. Danger of an open kitchen not crab shells cracking, and the DRY crabmeat tells on itself! Ridiculous with all that ALASKAN King Crab readily available at this location. Dessert was equally pedestrian--VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE with dry, yes I said dry, Vanilla Custard & Crisp Caramelized Sugar Crust. Finally, the dessert cocktail was Okay, but I barely got a half glass! (See photo). WHITE CHOCOLATE ALMOND MARTINI made with Absolut Vanilla Vodka, Baileys Almande Almondmilk Liqueur, White Crème de Cacao, Toasted Almond Dust in a Chilled Martini Glass. If you can't get crab right in Alaska, your franchise is an abject failure! My rating is generous. This chef and the wait staff saved the day. Not enough for me to return. It's been several years since we have been to Sullivan's. Having a reason to go out and celebrate, we decided that's where we wanted to go. Admittedly, calamari had been on the brain for days and unfortunately they have apparently been out for quite sometime. Big bummer, but not going to dock a start over that. Our server Dan, was fabulous!! He was very attentive and took fabulous care of us. His suggestion for their martini was perfect for the evening, and my husband had their smoked rosemary old fashioned, which was thoroughly enjoyed as well. No calamari... but the pork belly did not disappoint! Oh man; it was so tasty! I'd love the recipe for the sweet glaze and tomato relish that accompanied it... it was fabulous. Their prix fixe menu was pretty great; several options for each course, not just a single prepped menu. There is also an option to upgrade to larger steaks, which we both did. Perfectly perfect medium ribeyes, cheesy potato au gratin, one Caesar salad and a market fresh green salad. All sooooo good! After all if this wonderful food and libations, we enjoyed a piece of key lime pie and cheesecake topped with strawberries. We were also went home with a the banana foster bread pudding, on the house treat gifted to us for the special occasion. It's a very dim lighted restaurant, which of course falls in line a bit with being romantic too, so taking photos wasn't really worth it. One of the worst burgers I've ever had, even for Anchorage! The bread is straight up terrible - as in stiff and hard, making it tough to bite into, and completely lacked any flavor. The toppings are lackluster and even the sauce doesn't taste great. The ONLY saving grace is that the meat was cooked to my specification... so I guess that's something. Sat in the bar area around 5 pm. Server was nice but totally absent. 2 sandwiches and a burger was a 2 hour ordeal, and then most of the food was bleh or came out cold. Not sure what is going on but was not impressed and would not go back, even with a gift cert. Most of the bourbons we asked for were not available even though they were on the menu and the shaved steak sandwich was disgusting. Large chunks of whatever was meat available, but not what was advertised on the menu. I'm guessing this place only survives because it's a national chain. Won't be back. read more

Found myself in Alaska so I needed to have some authentic wild salmon. The flavor of this salmon was different then I have had before and the color was bright orangey red. Very good flavor but only got 5 asparagus and the salmon was kind of on the smaller side. Unfortunately I left hungry. Not good when you pay almost $40 for a plate. I think the side should have been slightly larger but overall the flavors were excellent. Would love the chance to try a steak next time read more

Hmm...I was debating between 3 star (bell curve average...) or 2 but given the price went with 2 (you can eat here at a reasonable price though) Been here about a year ago for dinner and the prix fixe menu was surprisingly affordable at ~$40ish at the time for 3 course meal which didn't make you hate yourself afterwards. The peppercorn steak sauce was reminiscent of something from my childhood and I LOVED it! The cheesecake tasted store bought :/ but overall average experience... The food wasn't spectacular but there was good favor and potential if you want to treat yourselves to a "fancy" dinner My partner wasn't in love with the place but we got a gift card later on so we decided to go back after new years for their happy hour at the bar - open seating, seat yourself because no one is no hostess...Mon-Thurs 3-6pm We essentially ordered all but the blue cheese appetizers (5 of the 6 happy hour items) annnnd I didn't really like any of them. The egg roll skin was thiiiiccc... I'm Asian, I'm used to lumpia thin egg roll skin. I get it, it's necessary for the filing/integrity but meh... Hard outside and soft inner layer... Did I mention thick?? There was a shrimp egg roll and cheese steak egg roll. I like the spicy mayo mixed with sweet chili sauce for the shrimp. The steak was just too salty. Slider was okay, I would've spent the money on a bar burger though. The shrimp lettuce wrap though...4 shrimps per wrap! They didn't go cheap! My favorite part though was the French 75 cocktail... How many places can handle a party of 41 people? Farewell dinner after 10 day Collette travel tour of Alaska and Yukon. This was before the pandemic, as both Alaska and Yukon are quarantined from visitors from the lower 48, and USA quarantined from Canada. All Collette international travel tours have been suspended since March 17, 2020. White tablecloth, white cloth napkins, chandeliers overhead, candlelight table. Excellent ambiance, with uniformed waiters. Party of 41 people, with preset menu. I started off with bread, and shrimp lobster bisque soup, had the filet mignon, with mashed potatoes, brocolli, and lemon cake. Average soup with tiny pieces of shrimp and lobster, excellently presented. The filet mignon was decent size and superb, covered with butter, and full of flavor, and very tender. Our tour manager gave out prizes. One could select a prize from the table, or take a prize already given to someone else. I got two prizes, one prize for guessing the closest to the number of miles traveled in the past 10 days, and second for being the closest in birthdays to another person on the tour. A bloke from Australia was born two weeks before me. However looking at the two of us, you would never have guessed it. He was two inches shorter, 20 pounds heavier, and his face aged from being out too much in the Australian sun. For my final prize, I took the DVD on the Alaskan gold rush from the youngest person on the tour, a 15 year old guy. Best prize of the night. Some people gave me a bit of a look for taking something from a teenager, but the 15 year old was taller than me. Don't think I've played the DVD 31 months later! Probably the best meal on our 10 day tour of Alaska and Yukon. Wife ate the filet mignon without her temporary crown falling out! read more

Started with a classic martini, the Bartender Lauren mentioned she had a few of her own custom cocktails which caused me and my husband to stick around and try. First one was with whiskey, think she called it Hansel and Gretel, now I'm not a whiskey fan but it was absolutely delicious. Tasted like mint with some kind of passion fruit. Not sure although my favorite she made was this one she called the dime piece. Guess it was made with Tangueray 10 gin, couldn't even taste the Gin. The bar was amazing. It used to be really good, not so much in recent years. I think we may have gotten food poisoning from something. Crush Bistro up the road has similar prices but the food justifies the prices. The bar and lunch menu aren't as expensive here and may be worth it, but dinner leaves little to he desired. The only good thing here is the wonderful staff! read more

The medium rare fillet mignon was delicious. However, my husband's NY Strip wasn't any better than a far cheaper steakhouse. Sides are ordered and shared by the table. We had lobster garlic mashed potatoes. The flaked parsley sprinkled on top was dry, in fact, the whole mashed potato experience was dry and pasty. My spinach salad had a yummy dressing but too much bacon. Desserts were yummy, NY cheesecake and Key Lime pie. The waiter was professional and friendly. He kept our beverages full. There're a lot of chairs and people everywhere. It's totally open and we could hear every word the guy at the table across from us was saying. Our table was the 'wall' between the kitchen and the dining room, with a clear plexiglass border allowing us to watch the waiters and waitresses pick up the steaks that seemed to sit a bit too long. That table was noisy and ugly. It was an expensive and mostly disappointing evening. UPDATE: I had to lower the rating from 3 stars to 2 after I spent the night in the bathroom. Thought my husband was spared, but his guts reacted this morning. . This meal was the last food we had yesterday, so no doubt our unhappy digestive reactions were caused by it. I gave it a week to think about this review. Last week was my second visit to this place and the first time ordering a steak here I came in on a Saturday evening. It was not busy but there was a comfortable amount of people. I took a seat at the bar. It was over 10 minutes before I was greeted with a hello. It was over 20 minutes to get a bourbon neat. I ordered the calamari for an app and the NY Strip for dinner. The calamari came out hot and looked great. The calamari is a little of a different take than I have seen before. It is served with a batter that is nicely seasoned. The calamari are cut very petite. There really no tubes and definitely no tentacles. It is small bits battered and fried. They were fine. The New York I ordered medium rare. The first one came out grey with grill marks, I was served a vein steak and it was a disappointment to see this. I cut through it with some trouble and sent it back. It was really sad for someone to even think it was OK to send out that steak for consumption. The waiter was very accommodating and brought out another steak after several minutes. The second steak had some char and was rare. I was not willing to take another chance and ate the same. It was seasoned perfectly. It was also served with much of the gristle and waste attached. On the 12 oz steak, about 2 oz of it was nerve, chain, and tail. The service here seemed good. The waiter was attentive when there. I could not tell if the place was really that understaffed or something else was the issue. This ma6 be worth checking out for an occasional appetizer and drink. We went to Sullivan's to celebrate one of our anniversaries, because they're our go to for special events. We started with Happy Hour and Bar Bites. Noah was our FANTASTIC bar tender! He made sure we got some incredible bar bites, the Chinese Eggrolls, a favorite that are ALWAYS delish, and 3 different kinds of sliders: burgers, prime rib and crab cakes. We always get the burgers, because they're always great, but the prime rib and crab cakes were new. The prime rib came with caramelized onions and an au jus that was FABULOUS! I was sorry when the sliders were gone, it was that good! Then there were the crab cakes. With LARGE chunks of crab, and a tartar sauce that was perfectly spiced, they were AMAZING! I think they might have been the best we've ever gotten out, and will be a new addition to our favorites. Noah delivered the perfect Old Fashioned for my hubby, made with great bourbon and orange, with some smoking rosemary to top it, it's his favorite drink, and Noah didn't disappoint. He took PHENOMENAL care of us, chatted with us, kept our drinks topped, and even checked on us during dinner, and invited us back to the bar after dinner. He really was the perfect bartender, he contributed to the great ambiance of the entire evening, and we were genuinely sorry to say goodnight. We definitely hope to see him again! We transitioned to the dining room for dinner, and found our table decorated for our anniversary, with fresh rose petals among other things. It was really beautiful, and set a wonderful mood for the rest of the night. Our waiter, Luke, was the BEST! He treated us like we were his only table, without hovering, but always there if we needed something, and delivering everything at just the right moment. That's quite the trick to pull off! We decided to get the Tomahawk Ribeye and Lobster Tails special, since I'd REALLY been wanting to try the Tomahawk. It's a little pricey, so I hadn't ordered it before, but I really wanted to try it, to see if it's worth it. The special made that possible, and it was worth EVERY penny! We started with the wedge salad, which is more than large enough for two, and the ranch dressing was yummy. I also ordered my FAVORITE appetizer, the Tempura Lobster Tails. If you like lobster, these are a MUST! The tempura is light, fluffy and flavorful, and it's served with 2 dipping sauces. One is somewhere between a lightly spiced soy and a sweet teriyaki sauce, that really brings out the flavor of the lobster. The second is like a mix of butter and wasabi mayo. I am not a fan of wasabi, but this was AMAZING! Between the Tempura, the YUMMY Lobster and the sauces, I absolutely MUST order it every time! Luke then brought our main course at the perfect time. The Tomahawk was SUPERB! You could cut it with a fork, and it melted in your mouth! We ordered it with a Cajun Butter topping, which I HIGHLY recommend, and Luke surprised us with some Bourbon Peppercorn dipping sauce, that was the perfect touch. I will DEFINITELY be ordering it again! The lobster tails were large, cooked perfectly, and had a divine, buttery taste that I enjoyed even as leftovers. FABULOUS! The special also came with a bottle of wine, but since we didn't drink wine, Luke made it possible for us to substitute a couple of sides, along with the aforementioned salad, instead. We opted for a baked potato, with butter, bacon and cheese, that had to be one of the largest potatoes I've seen outside of Texas, and au gratin potatoes, done with white cheddar and bacon. Both were excellent, even as leftovers, and a great balance for the Tomahawk and Lobster. Just when we thought we were finished, Luke surprised us with a HUGE piece of the most delicious, RICH chocolate cake, special for our anniversary. It was layered with a rich chocolate mousse, among other things, and was SO good! It was the perfect touch to a perfect evening. Luke and Noah REALLY made our night special, as they both spoiled us rotten! Thank you to both of them for making it a night we won't ever forget. They really did make a special night even better, and we appreciated it, and them, so very much. We'll be requesting both of them the next time we go. If you want a fabulous meal with great service, especially for a special occasion, Sullivan's is your place. It'll be worth every penny! We have NEVER had a bad meal, or service there. Well stopped by for the first time and it was pretty decent for a steak house in Alaska. Went for tapas because the prices for everything else seemed pretty ridiculous. Other than that I wish they had a bit more smaller local beers on tap. I would say over all pretty nice experience the food was good. I would say my favorite thing was the spicy shrimp egg-rolls and the pork belly. Other than that the tuna was okay and the cheesesteak egg-rolls were decent. Would recommend doing tapas instead of a full on dinner menu because you will not be disappointed. Would for sure come back for drinks and apps. read more

My husband and I have recently started frequenting Sullivan's more often and the food is always pretty great! We love coming for the Business lunch. 3 courses for $24.99, what a steal! As for dinner, the sides are Ala Carte so it can really add up if you're on a budget. We tried the Mac and Cheese and the Bacon/Cheese Scalloped Potatoes and both sides were amazing. Our filets were perfectly cooked and I love that they offer a choice of sauce on your steak. Lots of yummy add on's available for an extra charge and overall you're gonna spend a pretty penny here but the ambiance is nice with low lighting for a "fancier" feeling date in Alaska. Also, The Knockout, Blueberry Lemon Drop, and Hibiscus Cosmo are some of the best drinks we've had in AK! read more

I feel like the food is overpriced for what it is. The crab cakes were mediocre and lacking flavor. The loaded baked potato was a baked potato, nothing special for an additional $13. Our server was nice and the food came out quickly. The entire restaurant was smoky from the grill. Entertainment wasn't bad. For steak I was not impressed. $61 for an 8 ounce fillet and no sides seems excessive. The bathroom was filthy. I won't be going back. It's just doesn't seem worth it. Well, Sullivan's is okay. Nothing special, a very run of the mill steakhouse chain that's on the fancier side - though I wouldn't put them above similar chains such as Ruth's Chris or The Capital Grille, which aren't that great in my opinion either. The service was odd. After we placed our drink orders and ordered our food my soup came out first, then 5 minutes later my wife's Caeser salad... then a few minutes after that the bread. Caeser was okay, the dressing fell short flavor wise. Croutons were nice and crunchy and the romaine was fresh. The shrimp and lobster bisque wasn't quite right, not as creamy as a typical bisque and didn't have that touch of sherry flavor you expect. Still tasted fine. Scallops were a tad overcooked and oversalted, but the sauce was sweet and creamy so it balanced it out. Ribeye was solid, no real complaints there. Came out medium rare as ordered and had a nice sear on it! For shareable sized sides the asparagus was kind of funny, 5 spears of asparagus didn't really strike me as very shareable even for two. But, the serving utensil provided was a fork... that they put inside of the dish they were serving the asparagus in? Lifting up a parmesan crusted fork wasn't ideal, again odd service choice. Bananas Foster bread pudding was delightful, and a nice saving grace to the evening. The noise was also insane! A private party was shouting and yelling during the majority of our meal, felt like being at a Dave and Busters. Glad they were having fun, but it drowned out the nice ambient music on the background. A long time coming, but we can now strike Sullivan's off the list of 'to try'. read more

We waited 2 hours just to get the check before we even got the entree's. Bartender brought me the check and I said we didn't get our entree'a yet. Then the entree's showed up as we were leaving. They insisted I take it to go. So we did. Only to find out the $30 worth of sides weren't in the bag when we got home. Paid $232 minus tip for a ripoff. Takeout with only half the food I was charged. Similar thing happened during Covid. Had a party of 6 and never served within 2.5 hours. Same excuse as waitress said this time, "big parties showed up ahead of us." Not giving ANC Sullivans a third chance. Go to Club Paris, Simon's , Crows Nest, or Kinleys. read more

Over the course of a week, we dined at this establishment twice. We chose the Bar Bites Menu because it seemed like there were some great items. Overall we tried the; Beef Wellington Bites, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Shrimp Egg Rolls, Calamari, and the Prix Fixe Menu from the dinner menu. The cheesesteak and shrimp egg rolls were delicious and our only favorites. There was some nice flavor to the protein and crunch to the wrap. Next, the calamari was not tasty. The sweet chili glaze on top was not a great compliment to the chewy, barely breaded appetizer. The beef wellington bites caught my attention before arriving the location. I was surprised during our first visit when the waiter informed us that they were sold out from the night before, yet still thrilled to return and try them. So, we did return and when I tell you that I was let down, I truly was! If you have ever tried a beef wellington, you know what the inside is supposed to look and taste like, so that's why I was thoroughly disappointed. The same shaved meat(filet mignon) they used for the cheesesteak egg rolls was the same stuffing inside the bites. In my opinion, that was not a good decision because when you cut into the bites they appeared mushy. The items we chose from the Prix Fixe Menu were the Shrimp and Lobster Bisque, Ribeye, and Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. The bisque was fine and had good flavor, I'd recommend adding a few slices of toast/bread. The ribeye was cooked to our liking and had nice flavor to it. Now, the bread pudding was perfect! It came with vanilla ice cream on top and was essentially the 'cherry on top.' The cocktails were pretty good, I would recommend the Gold Rush and Spicy Margarita! I wouldn't mind going back but I would not go out of my way to dine here again. read more

Walked into Sullivan's after attending an event downtown today.As usual I chose to sit at the bar. Chelsey was the bartender on duty. She was friendly and knowledgeable with all drinks and food. Took my family to dinner as a treat before we dropped my pops off at the airport. Very busy so I was glad I made reservations. We didn't order any apps since we were on a time crunch. My partner had the filet, while my brother and I ordered the New York steaks. My dad wanted to be different and got the ahi dinner. My steak was Oscar style and came with four spears of asparagus and the mashed potato's was served family style. My brothers steak arrived lonely on the plate. I expected more from a $50 steak. Everything was good but not great. What was excellent was their banana foster bread pudding. Don't expect to leave here without spending a bundle but it's a nice option for a higher end steak place in town. read more
