This place was amazing. I hadn't been here before but it came highly recommended. We had the summer rolls which were absolutely perfect and I could eat about 5,000. Pad see ew, pad Thai, and crispy garlic chicken (not shown because we ate it too quickly). The service staff was absolutely amazing and we're happy to do a family style dinner. They were prompt and kind and always made sure that our drinks were filled without feeling pressured. It was hopping for 5:30 on a Friday night and I am so excited that I got to try it. Got take out and the flavors were good and I think the price is pretty fair. I was a little disappointed by the crispy garlic chicken as it wasn't really crispy at all. The workers were also nice and quick with our food. If I good give less stars, I would. I called in and had the woman hang up on me twice simply for asking for the status of my order. She was incredibly rude. They knew delivering to the wrong address, resulting in me having to drive to pick up my order on my own. I called to try and help them navigate but apparently they don't care. Our go-to Thai place. Great flavor and they bring the spicy! So be careful what heat level you order. 2 is probably enough. We usually do the Panang Curry, Phad Thai, and sesame chicken. All so soooo good. We order from here at least once per month. Usually enough for leftovers as well! read more

We came for the pad Thai, I ordered level 3 spice Pad Thai with tofu and my husband ordered level 4 spice pad Thai with beef. It wasn't amazing, the presentation was nice, all the bean sprouts, carrots and onions a top the noodles and tofu or beef. There was a hint of spice but not what I would consider a 3 or a 4, we chatted with the wait staff and insisted we liked spice, sometimes people think they do and then it's too hot, alas, it was just okay. Ordered the mango sticky rice to go. The restaurant itself is in disrepair, which who cares but the music, the decor and all the other things going on. Decent Americanized Thai restaurant in the Bonney Lake area. Nice enough service. Spacious with booths along the wrap-around glass walls. Menu has all the classic comforts of a typical Thai restaurant at a standard and not too expensive price. Ordered our two usual comparators at a Thai restaurant: Pad Thai and a curry. Pad Thai was very good and presented nicely but too much sauce and way too sweet. The green curry was creamy and sweet. I particularly enjoyed the big pieces of eggplants, the al dente green beans, the bamboo shoots, and the tender chicken strips. The brown rice they use here is very good. The kernels have a good chew and flavor. One of the best brown rices I've had. We had to ask for chopsticks and something to use for sharing, so they brought out some low quality thin melamine rice bowls but did they job. They also serve Thai tea, Thai coffee, coconut milk, beer, wine, and desserts like black sticky rice. Overall, not as authentic and impressive as the Thian Thai down the street but hits expectations and satisfies enough at a decent enough price. read more

I come here at least once a year for my birthday... mainly for the steamed mussels....MMmmmm!!!! Today the floors appear to be very dirty and the tables are sticky. Need to resurface the tables... My wife tried the three flavored fish. They were out of tilapia, so asked us and we agreed the catfish was an acceptable substitute. I've only been here twice, but everything was excellent both times. Service was near immediate and friendly, the food was DELICIOUS. My ONLY complaint could be it was a bit chilly and they didn't get the hot tea to us without asking twice. I'll be back. read more

The food is always great but the restaurant needs a facelift. It is cold in the Winter which makes it uncomfortable so I always bring a blanket. Service has always been good. We eat here at least 12 times/year. Small businesses are doing their best with the high taxes and minimum wage in WA! It will show up everywhere in the portion size and prices. read more

Its been a year and their pad see ew still tastes great! Generous with the amount of greens and meats throughout the dish. Very flavorful with the amount of spices they mixed in. For someone who loves spice, I ordered a spice level of 3 and it is still a bit spicy. Noodles werent dry nor overgreased. Their portion size fills the takeout box. I was only able to eat half and save the rest for dinner. Overall, will continue to satisfy my craving here at Sumalee. In my opinion, its the best pad see ew in town. read more

It's a bit on the pricey side but so worth it, every dish I've tried is amazing. The yellow curry is my favorite, so rich and flavorful. Service was prompt and friendly. Portion was reasonable as well On other hand, the chicken broccoli for my daughter had very little chicken and provolone was all stems as if using last bit of the broccoli they had in stock. Got the crispy garlic chicken, sweet & sour pork came out to a little over $30, it was good I wasn't sure what to expect but I wasn't mad I went in to make a to go order the person helping me was friendly she explained spice level, another lady was nice to my daughter. It's quiet and a very nice looking restaurant. I like their decor. Phad Kee mao the broccoli is a little cold when we eat it. Phad Thai is a little too much sweet for me. Wow! Really good Thai restaurant located in Bonney Lake! I love noodle dishes and often get them when I go to Thai restaurants. I have gotten Phad Thai a fair amount of the time and got my favorite the Phad Kee Mao as often as I can find it. But this time I went in a different direction than either of those two and got the Phad Woon Sen which involved napa, some very sweet and savory onions, pineapple and tomatoes. I also had chicken added to my dish. The noodles were a stir fried bean thread kind of noodle. All together it made a fantastic dish! Medium in spice was perfect! My friend I was having lunch with had sweet and sour pork which was good but in the end I was all about my noodle dish! Would love to come back and explore the menu more! read more

I decided to come to Sumalee's Thai Cuisine because I wanted to try since Bonney Lake has 2 Thai restaurants. I just wanted to know if I'd have options in case I did not feel like going to Thian Thai Restaurant. We were seated quickly as the restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday evening, for it was a school night and bars were much busier due to football games. Anyway, I ordered for our dinner pineapple fried rice, pad-see-eew, and garlic chicken. The pad-see-eew had some alternative because the restaurant ran out of wide noodles, so I agreed to thin noodles that are typically used for pad-Thai dish. The garlic chicken, particularly, tasted very.... Interesting. Like.... I don't know if the cook put shrimp paste in the dish, but my husband surely didn't like it. We were out and about and wanted to Eat something comforting since it was pouring outside. My fav go to for any Thai place is Phad see ew which did not disappoint. I've never seen it more beef than noodles which was delish. My BF's fav is Phad Thai chicken and he loves his. I would definitely come back. Place is really packed and the waitress was friendly and busting her bums off. I commend that young girl for making sure we were taken care off even if she's going back and forth.
