I love coming here after a day of shopping at the nearby stores. The sushi is always fresh and service is amazing. Shoutout to the sushi chefs for being so personable and waitresses for the amazing service. This restaurant has become a staple in our family.

Came during slower time around 3 pm. Service was good and the food is pretty on par with other sushi places. Overall, good experience. The place is clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The one surprise was my order came with larger than usual portion of wasabi!!! Love it. I ordered combination dinner with spicy tuna sushi rolls and mango chicken. Wish the deep fried chicken can be a little less doughy. Fresh good flavors. Favorite part was the salad sauce! Citrusy and sweet.

This is my go-to sushi spot by my house when I just want something simple and good. Nothing super fancy, but they do all the basics really well. The rolls are fresh, the portions are solid, and everything tastes consistent every time I come. It's perfect for when you're craving sushi without wanting to spend a ton or go somewhere super upscale. Service is always quick and easy too, which I like.

The customer service was good but my baked salmon roll was a disappointment. I normally go to omakase but today I tried summa sushi because I was at stater bros and it was right next to it. I looked at reviews and they were good so I ordered a baked salmon roll. First the printer wasn't working when I went to pick up my order so it wasn't ready when I arrived because they didn't know they received an online order. That was fine it wasn't that big of a deal, their customer service was still good that's why I gave 2 stars. The problem with my salmon roll was there was not salmon on top. There were thinly sliced slivers of salmon but it was all the dark fatty pieces that are left after slicing the skin off. I personally don't like the skin of the salmon nor do I like only eating the dark fatty pieces.

Decided to try based on the reviews. 24$ for a bento box with hardly any beef or chicken protein did not seem worth it. I also wasted 7$ on 2 pieces of salmon sushi that had a strong fishy smell when I opened the to go box... I didn't even try it.

Damnit!!!! I TRIED to give them a chance. It's been three years since I've been here and I thought I would give them a chance by doing to go. Last time I was here they rushed us out and took my wine before I was finished. This time, I get my food home and my roll has avocado peelings in it!! $80 for to go and this is what happens?? I really wanted it to be good but no luck.

Gave this place a try today, lunch specials were awesome not too busy and food was really good thank you Mary for excellent service. Will be back again!

Paid for a golden California roll and received a regular California roll, so be careful when ordering online.

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

I called to let them know and they were completely understanding! When we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. Waters were brought to the table quickly as well. The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Surf & Turf roll which is spicy crab and coconut shrimp, topped with seared Wagyu, truffle oil yuzu, and eel sauce--absolutely incredible! Next was the Kuwada roll which is crab, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with baked lobster, eel sauce, and masago. The presentation on this one was extraordinary--and the flavor was amazing! Finally we finished with the Shrimp Lover Roll which is crab shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce--another winner! Jojo did an excellent job serving and clearing plates, as well as keeping our water filled! This place is a treasure and I can't wait to go back!

The space doesn't remind me of a sushi restaurant and more of a sports bar, but the space was playing the World Cup and was fit for the occasion. We maxed out all the limited items, which was very generous, however, I wasn't sure of how many rounds were available, or how many pieces total were going to be included in the limited items, so we ended up with a LOT of nigiri. Our service was great, but spotty at several times. I loved all the nigiri items, especially the peppered salmon, ikura, and halibut. I'd pass on the red clam nigiri, and the fried appetizers as they were big portions but very filling! Delicious melt in your mouth pieces of yellowtail and salmon were the highlights for me. The food portions have gotten smaller while the price goes up; I get it that the economy sucks, but I don't think you have to do both. With that said the food is always amazing. We have been dining there for a long time and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this place based on that. However I ended up losing my cool the last time we went. I ordered the all-you-can-eat service. The waiter brings the menu and I fill it out splitting the order into two rounds to pace myself and enjoy the food. The first round wasn't even completed when the waiter brought the menu back and left it at our table. I thought that was odd but figured maybe the chefs mark down what they need to make then they return the menu in case there needs to be any adjustments. About 20 minutes pass without the waiter stopping by to check on us or grab the menu. I look around and the chefs aren't making anything. They're looking around and hanging out at the sushi bar. That's when I began to realize that they aren't continuing with my order. The waiter comes back (finally) and I asked him why the menu is at our table when nothing is being made. He says "you got two rounds" and when I explained I didn't even get all of the first round he swiftly grabs the menu and runs it over to the chefs. At this point I'm irritated because we had somewhere to be after dinner and we would have had plenty of time to enjoy the food if there wasn't a long delay with absolutely nothing being made. I just figured "ok, it is what it is." Next thing I know our table is being flooded with the entire order all at once (made in a rush once he realized what happened). We had to get going so we asked for the check and a couple of boxes. I figured since he messed up he would just bring the boxes and we would pay and leave. When he brought it he charged us a "to go" fee as well as full price for whatever I didn't get to finish. I called him out on charging me all of the extra money and fee and asked him why am I getting charged when he's the one who dropped the ball and there was a huge delay on getting served. He keeps repeating himself "you have to pay because you're taking it to go." So I keep telling him he needs to adjust the bill because of what he did and how it caused us to just sit there with nothing being brought out for a long time. He repeated himself once again and that's when I lost my cool and started showing my anger. I told him we were just going to let the food go to waste then because I'm not paying extra when I shouldn't have to. As I got up to talk to the cashier about the extra charges (still visibly angry) the owner himself came over and comped the entire bill. He really didn't have to do that and I kept insisting on paying the bill just without the extra charges but he refused to take my money which did make me feel bad because that wasn't my intention at all. I love this place but the waiter screwed up which was actually our first bad experience in all the times we've been there. So if the owner sees this - this is what happened. I'm sure the waiter probably left out any details about him screwing up and told it like I wanted to take food to go without being charged for breaking the all-you-can-eat deal. I am grateful for the owner's generosity to rectify the situation (and get me out of there) and the amazing food but the waiter probably didn't want to take any blame so he wasn't trying to see what he can do to solve the problem with management himself which is what caused me to go off. Again, this place is awesome. The food is great. I just needed to explain the situation and why things happened the way they did.
