We used SCMR to book a one night stay for a wedding at Keystone. I spoke to them on the phone for a while explaining there were 3 of us so we needed a one bedroom with a pull out couch. Right off the bat, they couldn't guarantee finding me a place that would allow a early check in until 24 hours before - which is a bit of a risk when trying to find somewhere to stay for a wedding - ended up paying a bit extra to get in earlier. The place was easy to find, but having to go somewhere else to find the key felt like an unnecessary treasure hunt then followed by absolutely no directions to the parking spot they claimed we had access to. Luckily, we were there during the off season so we just parked in the lot nearby. We had a good attitude about everything leading up to this - then we got into the condo. There was no air conditioning and the place felt like a sauna. But the real icing on the cake was when we went to make up the pull out couch and there was absolutely 0 bedding for it. Since we had rushed to get ready, this was something we didn't do before the wedding - so we had no one to call to remedy the situation that late at night. I had to sleep on a bare mattress with one little blanket and a couch cushion as a pillow. AGAIN - we had a good attitude about everything leading up to this - but at the end of the day, we paid for a place to stay, did most of the cleaning ourselves per the instructions (even though there is a cleaning fee), we paid more for it to accommodate 3 people and we made it very very clear that we were a group of 3 coming. If you are going to advertise and rent a place out as "sleeps 4" and "one bedroom with a pull out couch" you should probably have the bedding for it... Overall I wouldn't recommend SCMR to anyone - it was more effort than reward and the only benefit of staying there was that we could walk home after the wedding. read more

My husband and I stayed in River Run Area, Silver Mill #8170 last weekend. We checked in Thursday afternoon. Over the course of the afternoon/evening, we both thought the other had forgotten to flush the toilet.....by Friday morning, we realized there was a problem with a blocked bathroom stool. We called and the management sent over the maintenance guy. He was unable to resolve the problem though before he left, he put something in the bathroom stool that created a foul smelling and disgusting looking foam of excrement. They offered to send the maintenance guy back to remove the foul smelling foam. The unit smelled and we were unable to use the bathroom. It was awful. He called the plumber. We were attending a wedding on Friday at 4. After several calls asking when the plumber was coming and were told they could not say when the plumber was going to be coming. A solution of moving to an inhabitable unit was rejected by the management. This took valuable time from a quick visit....We were told to use the bathroom on the first floor and the common shower off the lobby to get ready. I was livid. We left for a walk, returning to find the foam was gone but very unclear if it was ok to flush the stool. No follow up call or text, no note left as to what was done and it was ok to flush. We did so without a problem, so apparently, the plumber came in while we were out. We did get a text on Monday am reminding us of the check out time of 10 am and to run dishwasher and take out garbage before we left. We had left on Sunday. I will never rent from Summit County Mountain Retreats again. Never have I encountered such poor leadership and problem-solving skills in people in management position. The website stresses your comfort and satisfaction, but if this isn't a problem worth going the extra mile for, not sure what is. NO STARS is not an option, thus, the one-star rating. read more

After multiple communications with this company, I feel it is necessary to add an additional comment to my prior review. Although he hasn't responded to all of the negative YELP reviews, the owner of the company did respond to mine. He stated that my stay dates occurred during a time period "in which the resort was 100% open and thousands of skiers were enjoying their time in the mountains". This could not be further from the truth. My stay was scheduled from March 30 to April 1. In fact, Governor Polis had closed the ski resorts at least a week prior to my scheduled stay. Moreover, Summit County prohibited short term rentals beginning on March 19, 2020. That prohibition remains in place at least until the end of May. For me to have used my reservation, Summit County Mountain Retreats would have been violating a Summit County order and I would have violated the City's Stay at Home Order. In other complaint responses, the owner of this management company suggested that a prospective renter was wrong for "not abiding by their agreement". Yet, this same owner does not abide by his own agreements - he made an offer for a partial refund and I accepted his offer - a contract. He now refuses to pay me anything because of my negative review. I would implore anyone considering booking a rental through SCMR to strongly re-consider. This has been a nightmare from beginning to end. I have had nothing but aggravation, lies, and continued rude and unethical customer service from this management company as it relates to my refund due to the Covid19 crisis. This further confirms how accurate my original review was!! Should any one question the validity of my review, please look at the numerous negative YELP reviews from others that are having the same issues with unethical management practices and customer service concerns. I would also encourage everyone to look them up on the Better Business Bureau of Summit County. The BBB have also received negative complaints on Summit County Mountain Retreats. my family and I enjoyed our stay in the Condominium we rented for the week. the condo was cozy and contained everything we needed for the week from dishes to cooking supplies. fun board games and even games for the kids to play. we will 100% be renting from this company again. 10/10 recommend! read more

We stayed 5 days at Silver Mill #8162. The management company, SCMR was great. We received plenty of communication before, during and after our trip. Our condo was VERY clean when we arrived it was stocked with everything we needed for the week. I'm a clean freak and this place was just to my satisfaction. The property was well kept and was the perfect location in Keystone Village. Would highly recommend booking through SCMR on our next trip to Colorado! read more

Stayed at the condo the night before the Slacker Race. We had 5 girls and this condo was perfect for a quick night in the mountains! The master bed was amazingly comfortable, however the Murphy Bed was a bit hard for older adult women, but would have been fine for kids! The views were incredible, the amenities of the building we great! Did mark it down 1 star, only due to the directions for parking and getting to the room. It just stated to park in the garage in the building, which we thought was the first entrance you arrive to, to however it is not, it is the second, but that was not in the directions. Also, once you go down in the garage, it doesn't tell you which side of the garage to park on, therefore we parked on the side that the elevator didn't take us to our room, therefore we had to carry all of our luggage outside and across to the other building to get to our room. Overall, wonderful and would definitely stay here again! read more

Our family is beyond disappointed with Summit County Mountain retreats. We had booked a stay for early May. Given the uncertainty resulting from the global coronavirus pandemic we are cancelling our trip. We reached out to this company and they insisted that the cancellation policy will remain. We asked if we might be able to use our deposit for a future stay after the pandemic subsides and we were swiftly denied. Under normal circumstances we completely understand the cancellation policy. However, this inflexibility despite an unprecedented global crisis shows the true character of this company. read more

Their incompetent staff didn't register our car properly which resulted in our car being booted and $140 fine. And now we are being told it will take 30 days to be reimbursed. If at all. Additionally they offered no other compensation for wasting 2 hours of our time which made us almost miss our flights. Completely unprofessional way to run a property rental company. Utterly unacceptable way to retreat repeat customers as well. Additionaly our place was not throughly cleaned. It was dusty and made out allergies awful. read more

Do not book with these people. If I could give negative stars I would We had a trip scheduled for April. At the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic we heard rumors the ski resorts would be closing. We called to check on our options. We were told if we cancelled that day we would receive 65% back. If we waited one additional day we would only receive 35%. We cancelled and literally the next day all the ski resorts (epic and ikon pass) closed. They still kept 35% because we cancelled before the initial announcement that the resorts were closing. This is their response: You had cancelled on March 14th, before we knew any of the resorts would be closed. No additional refund is due. The headache of booking combined with the lack-luster experience was exhausting. It all started as soon as I booked through the Vrbo listing. Summit County Mountain Retreats, sent a surprise contract that I had to sign to keep my booking. This wasn't mentioned in the listing, and Vrbo knew nothing of the contract. Once I signed, it was promptly rejected by Summit County Mountain Retreats. They said only someone aged 30+ could book. This also wasn't listed correctly. Luckily, our group could accommodate. Then we arrived to a cabin by an active construction zone that worked through the weekend, waking up the whole cabin each morning. The keys were in a different spot. The hot tub needed servicing on the last day, there were missing lights and light fixtures, random Amazon boxes laying around, and many of us had issues sleeping on hard mattresses. When Colorado closed the ski resorts this Spring, I was offered either a) 50% REFUND FOR GUESTS WISHING TO CANCEL THEIR STAY or b) GUEST WHO WISH TO RESCHEDULE FOR A FUTURE STAY (Today through February 28, 2021) for stay in early April at CHATEAUX DUMONT #2711. When I checked future dates, the same timeframe one year later (April 2021) was 500% higher! Literally, the quoted price to stay in this unit was $6,000 instead of $1,000 that I had booked in 2020. I elected to take the 50% Refund as stated above; however, in other places, it was noted "50% Off Nightly Rate". After corresponding with their guest services (who have been all pleasant and responsive), I received $302.68 of my $943.45 original payment for a unit I could not even use because it was against Colorado's executive order to even check-in during my scheduled stay. The 50% refund was based on my $605.36 nightly rate. I appreciate the difficulty of the pandemic on your business, but you took $640.77 and provided NOTHING in return. read more

Terrible management, terrible experience. Ruined my Colorado experience. Fined for smoking in a clearly defined smoking area with ashtray. All signage followed. If expectations are different, better signage or movement of ashtrays. No warnings, just fined day one. Fined for or no parking pass...it was on the dashboard visible. It had snowed.. we watched as the lady leveraging the tickets went from vehicle to vehicle. She saw us at ours...I guess decided to ticket us after we left. We brought this to their attention.. and they just crumpled up the ticket. Must be their plan...when it snows...go put tickets on card without cleaned off windshields. Bedsheets were left on from the previous tenant... or just grossly stained. Hot tub had about a cm thick ring of scum around the entire hottub... gross. Basically, this is a community that really doesn't want to see guests.. They are going to make your stay uncomfortable.. Stay here if you want to be fined and harassed. Skiing should have been my only concern on this trip... instead, I had to deal with this experience. Ruined my entire trip. Management showed zero empathy. Instead, they blocked my calls. Terrible... just stay away... management literally proves my point below. Zero empathy. They are not taking ownership for the experience you will be subjected to by the HOA during your stay. Instead, you wake up to random fines during your stay. As for harassment claims, I called two times. Once on Monday after the first night after being fined out of nowhere. I waited patiently, No response.. so I called again after a week to discuss... they blocked me. If anyone was harassed it was me.. during my stay. read more

This was a well maintained resort with everything you could possibly want right there. Ski in-ski out was very convenient. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed for cooking. Only bad thing was no one was able to answer a question about getting into the fitness area when our fob wouldn't work. Texting the wonder as well and the HOA and calling the number listed didn't get us any answers so I'm glad we didn't have any major issues. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. On top of various other maintenance issues, the heat didn't work for 3/4 of our stay. They sent 2 incompetent maintenance people over the course of 4 days who could not fix the heat. They then stopped responding to our maintenance requests. I was promised a call back from a supervisor and no one called until 2 days after we checked out. The girl who called was very rude and offered less than one night of a refund. They also require you to sign a doc, which I didn't sign, in order to receive the refund. The doc states that you cannot leave a negative review of them or you forfeit refund. THEY PAY TO SILENCE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Do not support a company like this. read more

On top of that, it snowed and we had all the luxuries right inside the condo and were able to enjoy every minute. We got to keystone a little early, and so we tried calling to see if we could check in early, but no answer. So we decided to just go to their main office, but were told our room was not yet ready, which was no big deal. The man at the counter said he would call us if our place opened before then. We never got a call, and eventually just checked in at 5. Once we were given our room key and directions to the room, everything fell apart. There were two room numbers that were hand written, neither of them being our room. We called several times, and of course, no answer, EVER. We were going from elevator to elevator, with 3 kids and a cart full of stuff, and no direction. This place is a maze! My husband ended up having to drive all the way back to the main office. Apparently our actual room number was written in a small spot on the paperwork he gave us. It wasn't circled or highlighted. It was the same font and font size as the rest of the page, so it was very difficult to find. So, what were those other room numbers that were actually highlighted and circled then? That's still a mystery to us. The room was nothing like the room we had booked. We booked a room with bunkbeds- there were no bunk beds. We booked for three beds and got 2. Awesome. They offer a late check in and late check out, but we were unable to get those benefits. The next morning I called to get a late check out. And yet again, no answer. They had an automated system that prompted me to leave my room number to request a late check out. I never received a call or confirmation of my request. Eventually housekeeping came, and that's when they finally called. I explained that I called much earlier, and the woman rudely said she had been there with one other all day and never got a call. Well, they called me back from the number I had been calling, so I'm not sure why they think they didn't get a call. I also left a message! We felt very unwelcome and it was altogether a bad experience. read more

The condo in Dillon we used was gorgeous. The management company could do better. Seemed like emails were template responses. When we asked about early check-in we were told NO, even though the VRBO calendar showed that there were no renters the night before. Was told that VRBO is wrong. I have used VRBO dozens of times and never had a calendar issue before. Oh, and if we would have been given an early check-in, they wanted to charge. I booked this place based on the reviews. It's a one bedroom one bath. Cozy little condo. Very clean and very quiet. We had no issues at all. All instructions were on point. It was close to downtown Frisco and had a beautiful creek right out the front door. The bed was so comfortable we slept so soundly. The only "issue" is the drive way is steep. The parking is great but our last day was icy and I didn't have four wheel drive. I took a run for it and got up no problem but if you don't know how to drive in snow this could be a problem. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me though because the place is so awesome. I definitely would book again. read more

This resort was great in proximity to the mountain and shopping/ food amenities. During our stay there was a water main that broke. They were very quick to address the issue and provide accommodations, new housing, or a refund on days lost. Although our stay was short, the resort was clean, large, and quiet. read more

However, condo itself was not very clean upon arrival, dusty, poorly vacuumed, grimy and grill on porch was covered in grease, as was the ground around it - disgusting. Also, very poorly stocked for a "high-end" condo - very few glasses, chipped and peeling pots and pans, etc. Not sure who is responsible for these issues. read more

the Oro Grande 200 was a great place for my family to stay. kitchen was great. about a 15 minute walk to gondolas and a few minutes drive. definitely worth it not to pay outrageous prices. the lodge was clean and cozy. plenty of room. we only ran out of trash bags. everything else was great. the beds were not crazy comfortable but ok. the water pressure and hot water were great. they have lockers for ski equipment if needed, and hot tub and pool inside. read more

I made a reservation with this "company" last June. This week, one month before my trip, they send me an email telling me that my reservation had been cancelled because the property I was going to stay at had been sold. I understand that is out of their control, but shouldn't the company be responsible for finding another place for their customers for the same price? I guess not. What did they tell me? They told me I could try looking for something through Airbnb... Thanks to them, I will not be able to go to a trip with my brother at all. Booking one month in advance costs too much and I don't have that amount of money now. Thank you for ruining a trip we had been planning for a long time. Seriously, if you're reading this review and planning to book here, don't consider it at all. Do not throw away your money with this joke of a company. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. Take a look at other reviews from other customers in other sites - it seems like the company always replies saying that the customers are lying about all the situations. Doesn't that tell you something about this so-called "company"? Own up to your mistakes and stop tricking customers who want to spend a nice time with their hard-earned money. Our stay at Buffalo Lodge was great! The condo was beyond clean and nicely renovated. The location is perfect just a quick 2 minute walk to the gondola, loved staying in the resort area and close to the shops and restaurants. Buffalo lodge also has 2 nice outdoor hot tubs which we really enjoyed after a day on the slopes. The check in and check out process is a breeze and very easy quick. We didn't really have any major issues aside from the lights being off in the hot tub area both nights we were there. I contacted maintenance about the lights both nights and within an hour the issue was resolved. The biggest complaint I have is that the door does not block any of the noise from the hallway. We were woken up several times during the night by other loud guests in the hallway / outside - that was the one and only negative comment about this stay. read more

This property was truly amazing! There's always that fear when booking a vacation home that the home is not what it appears to be in the pictures. This is not the case for this property. The pictures represent exactly what the home is. It was just beautiful and well put together. It felt like a home away from home. The communication with the Property Management Company Summit County Mountain Retreats was the BEST I have ever experienced. From the time of my booking to the day we departed they were very quick to respond. They were EXTREMELY helpful and informative. The Check-in Guide was so informative and so easy to follow. I can't say enough about this Property and the Management company. I am a Travel Agent, although I booked this property for personal reasons I will be recommending this property and Management company to all my colleagues, clients, friends, and family that want to visit Colorado. In the future, I will not even look at another property as I want exclusively to use this Management Company Summit County Mountain Retreats. read more

Really quiet and relaxing, good food in the area! Love the fireplace, heated floors and the bed was super comfy. We found the extra blankets really helpful as well for snuggling up by the fire!
