Recently I encountered an issue that my truck was not allowed to enjoy the services here. The underline issue was because a previous page and damaged their car washing machine. We managed to come to an agreement that's along in the stairs and attendant there to inspect the back and verify no loose debris or attachments were available. I could have my vehicle service there. And most recently they're promoting military free car wash, which is an additional benefit. I'm so happy that I was able to work with this small business and come to an agreement that was mutually beneficial to everybody. As a thank you on my behalf, I give the following personal information of knowledge. I highly recommend to get rid of that. No pick up truck sign, and replace it with : negligent damage to our equipment will result in you paying costs losses and damages. This way, the public knows to be more cognizant of their vehicles and respect your private property. If it's not too late, you can still file a claim against that last persons vehicle insurance for damaging your equipment. The comprehensive policy covers damage to property owned by others so I would consult an attorney as quick as possible so that you can regain your losses. I wish I could give zero stars. I got a car wash today from Summit Gasoline off of sports arena blvd. Came out of the car wash with a huge crack in the windshield! Attendant calls the manager. Manger pulls up in a Mercedes with her dog in the car Martha the manager. Martha runs her finger on it and says oh that's from the inside I said how do you determine if it's from the inside? She said because it's smooth. I said feel the inside it's smooth too so how do you explain that? She said well I'm going to have to look at the cameras. No damage report done or anything and said can not review until Monday. The lack of empathy and customer service this woman has is so sad. It's heart breaking. I called the number business line when we left to ask for an email because the attendant provided Martha personal number and guess what? The phone number is no longer in service and they do not have another business number on file. Don't worry Martha we will be back. This station ripped me off on Tuesday I walked in gave the cashier 20 dollar for the pump went back to car to pump gas the pump never reset not allowing me to pump the gas when I went back inside to make the cashier aware that I was unable to pump my gas I was told that I had already had pumped my gas which was not accurate my vehicle was on empty when I arrived I tried to explain that my vehicle was still empty it the female who said was the manager refused to look at my gas gauge and basically said that I had gotten the gasoline I purchased and I didn't know what I was talking about. This is a big gas station and it tends to be on the busier side. I'm usually purchasing gas here in the morning. A lot of RVs and boat owners will gas up here and they tend to take up more than one spot. There is a cash pay option inside at a kiosk to save some time waiting in line. I don't typically review gas stations, as they are not usually the most exciting places in the world. Summit is one of those pretty non-exciting places, but it has met my needs so many times. First, it has the best gas prices of anywhere in the neighborhood. If you pay cash, it is even cheaper. However, I go regularly for the propane exchange. It is automated, making it much quicker than waiting for staff at other places to bring out a tank. During the pandemic, we were in need of propane for our patio to fuel the heat lamps for a socially distanced outdoor gathering. Summit was the only place that actually had any propane left at that time. Also, I found some of the best prices on fire wood at Summit. They used to provide small plastic gloves to keep your hands clean when you pump gas, but, unfortunately, they no longer do that. They always are playing really fun music there. Often, it is the music of the band playing at the Sports Arena that day (music venue located adjacent). I think my only complaint is that at times, it can get a bit crowded and chaotic. It there is a show, or the swap meet is happening, it gets really busy. I don't ever wait for gas, and so far I have turned around and gone elsewhere a couple times. All in all, Summit has good prices on gas and firewood, and is a convenient place to pick up propane. read more

Don't get your car washed here. I went , and the initial water drop at the start ran right through my air system and leaked to my floor. My internal air filter was drenched with water. I asked for the manager and the lady was very dismissive and didn't even apologize for the damage. She said she could only refund me $6 for the wash at most. Refused to write a damage report. Awful and low class customer service. Who knows that more damage was done to my car. Do NOT go there ever. Awful customer service when they are at fault. read more

I asked the guy that works there if they had any of the sodas that weren't working and he said, oh they never have those and they just shrugged it on like nothing they clearly did not care. This is the least expensive gas (for unleaded) in San Diego, to my knowledge based on GasBuddy and my own experience, when you pay CASH. If you pay with credit card, it's the same price as other gas stations. I have paid anywhere from $4.99 to $5.35 to $5.65 per gal for unleaded when paying CASH, while other gas stations (Chevron, Shell, Ralphs) was charging anywhere from 20 cents to 50cents more per gallon. This place has got LOTS of fuel pumps on the islands (forgot if it was like 16 or more stations), ability to enter from either direction (two ways), long hose so you can fill your tank regardless of its location on driver or passenger side, and lots of space to manueuver to drive in and leave. The fuel pumps also have green hand plastic bags should you not want to touch the pump. I love the music that plays outside while you are pumping gas because it's cheery and lively. So you walk into the store to pay cash, and you enter a large bright facility with cool design on the ceiling. (I do not buy anything other than gas so I cannot comment on the goods sold.) I have found the staff person who takes my cash to be nice and friendly, even when I return to get change. On July 21, 2022 at 8pm at night, when I went to get gas and pay cash, I saw a self help station where I ordered my gas by touching buttons on a screen. This was pretty new, and signage on the floor is what clued me in. Richard (whose name tag says "Richy") was nice enough to walk me through how to use it; it was user friendly. I personally like to give my money to a real person but in case the longs are line, it is nice to have this option. Don't be fooled by a 6 dollar car wash. They charge you 40 cents more for gas when you use a card but the gas pumps are always out of paper so you have to go inside anyway. Employees say it's an ongoing problem they are aware but don't care to fix it at the end of the day it does not save you any money. It's set up to serve the homeless population in the area so better to find another spot read more

They generally have the best CASH price per gal than any other station in the county. For the most part the cashiers are amicable in a gruff sort of way. Worst customer service by Martha - Morning of Wednesday 8/17. The gasoline pumps were closed off and unavailable which was the first bummer. Understandably ok. I went in to ask how long they would take to open them back up, the man at the counter didn't have an idea. I understand he has no control of that. I asked to use the bathroom and the gentleman gave me a receipt with a code to use. I had tried to use the bathroom code a couple times and it wasn't opening ( I needed to pee so bad!!) so I asked Martha who was walking by for help. She gave me a demeanor of hesitation saying the code was on the receipt. I told her it wasn't working and if she could try for me. She gave me a huge eye roll and a sigh of annoyance then tried herself. Apparently we both didn't notice it was occupied until the person yelled "hold on!" Perhaps Martha had a problem with me interrupting her while stocking the automotive section which can be frustrating. However, customers will naturally ask employees for assistance if needed. Martha needs a refresher on customer service and basic manners. Also, it's nice that Summit gasoline allows Martha to bring her her dog to work.I would think would help manage some tension and stress. read more

Well! This used to be one of my happy places to stop and gas up and get treats and use the restroom if needed. Well..as I entered the restroom today, a man coming out stopped me and said, "Warning it's pretty bad in there." So, I proceeded to use the restroom and get out as fast as possible. I told a female employee that the restroom was dirty, and she was so angry and stated these words, " Well we will just close the restroom. I'm tired of people messing up the restroom." I just looked at her and smiled knowing that I'd be writing this review. They need a bathroom attendant that cleans regularly. She's definitely not a happy employee. The cheapest gas in the area! They play 50s and 60s music and its rocking around the clock all night... (open 24/7). I have a commercial van and the air machine can fill my tires just right (65 and 80psi). The service here is great, very nice cashiers. Lots of snack and drink choices. It gets a little tricky when there's an event at the Arena but once the traffic is cleared, the place is easy to drive in and out. read more

No sign on the door, no note that theyre doing shift change or going to the bathroom, just... Closed. This place has the worst customer service. I accidentally left my card here and I was already 3 hours away. I couldn't come to get my card for 12 days because I was going into a silent meditation center. It took me so long to find their number and I finally found it. I spoke to Juan and he said he would hold it for me. I come in the soonest I am able, and I speak to Martha. She is incredibly rude. She walked away from me while I was speaking to her, wouldn't go into the back to even look for my card. I gave Martha my number so they could call me and they never did. So I called and Juan claimed he couldn't get into the back room, yet magically was able to. And nothing. It's incredible how little they will do so I don't have to go through a week without my debit card to get groceries or put gas in my car. I will never go back here again. read more

One star is way too many for this place! They beat you with low, gas prices, and then make it so hard to pay that it's impossible. You have to go inside for credit, inside for cash, and the line is always long. If you do not have a pin number, which is not a credit card thing, it is impossible to pay at the pump. Add to that, the people behind the counter seem to be blissfully, unaware of the problem. They "help you" through the steps to make a sale, only to be completely bewildered when the problem persists. My husband was getting gas here all the time. We were there last Sunday and he went in and gave the guy $60 to fill up tank. He's pumping gas and the pump stops at exactly $40 which was strange because it is usually around 60. Goes back in and asks for his change...guy behind counter says "you only gave me forty!"
