Great all you can eat place near Sam's Club in town! In my opinion it's worth getting the premium option, that lets you order ama ebi, uni, hamachi collar, oysters, and other expensive options. Note they do limit some dishes mentioned to just 1 per person so keep that in mind! Many many offerings that you just order from a menu. Their sushi rolls are huge. Walk the meal off at Ala Moana nearby for a great night.

We came here and tried the basic AYCE option at about $35. There was a pretty good number of options on the menu from rolls, nigiri, salads, soup/noodles, fries, appetizers, etc. I was not expecting much for the quality, but we were surprised how good the quality was for an AYCE place. The only down sides were that my 5 year old daughter (who only likes edamame lol) was still $16.96 lol, and also, it was extremely warm in there - both us and other tables we're sweating and fanning themselves with the menu. Overall though, we enjoyed this place and will be back :) We love that parking was easy as well (garage parking)

Sushi lovers unite! It's so nice to have another AYCE sushi place in town. The location is on Keeaumoku so it can get busy! We had a party of 4 and put our names down a little after opening. We waited maybe 30ish minutes as there were groups ahead of us, some left cause they didn't want to wait longer. The restaurant itself is pretty small. You can tell they aren't able to accommodate big parties and if you do, there's a good chance you'll be seated separately. But the food is made fresh to order, so I can imagine it can be hard to serve big groups. The menu is pretty straightforward. We opted for the premium menu, which allows us to order from the red items as well. The ones with the number next to it indicates the limit you can order (not AYCE). But if you have others in your group who don't want it, just take their share. They have many different items to order so it's great for picky people too! They also offer take out, but it will be regular priced, not part of the AYCE. The dishes were presentable and fresh! In some AYCE I've seen, they go more for quantity than quality. Sumos is definitely quality. I highly recommend! There may be a wait to dine, but it's worth it!

My 2-year old said she wanted sushi for dinner. So I was like perfect let's try Sumo instead of going to Genki again! They do not take reservations so I called ahead of time to see if there's a long wait. They said no. Ok let's go! I parked at the condo Azure (entrance to parking on Keaamoku) and it was free! Take the elevator down and that will take you to an exit right next to all the restaurants. So I arrived Sumo around 5:20. There were 2 empty tables so we were seated right away. My daughter got to eat free yay! (I'm not sure the cutoff age but when I told them my daughter is 2 they just said free) So there are 2 options: classic ayce $36.95 and premium ayce $46.95. I chose classic ayce and to me that was good enough I already got many items to choose from. I tried some nigiri, appetizers and rolls and they were all surprisingly good. The fish was good and they gave you big pieces with just little bit of rice so they're not trying to fill you up with rice. Service was fast and attentive. Servers were very friendly. Even got free ice cream at the end. Will definitely come back. Hopefully they will keep up with the good quality of food and service!

Decent newish AYCE sushi place! Inside Azure, there is also a lot in the building. Food - 4/5 I liked how the nigiris are smaller than usual so that I could eat more of them. The rolls were decently big though, so I wouldn't order too many if you want to eat a variety of items. If you are doing the regular AYCE tier, I would recommended the Be Happy Roll, it has soft-shell crab! The ice cream at the end was also a nice touch. Service - 4/5 Decent service. They were very fast at bringing out the food! Ambiance - 4/5

very pleasantly surprised with the quality! good mix of sushi and cooked options, so there's something for everyone. we went with the premium option (entire table must choose the same option). wait for a tuesday evening was about an hour for 3 people. write your info on the clipboard at the door. there are outdoor tables to sit and wait at. the restaurant is pretty small, so there aren't many tables. i feel like it's best to come with 4 or less people given the space. you have 90 minutes to eat (we were pretty full after 60 tbh) and can order up to 2 rolls or 10 items per round. the food comes pretty quick and they don't cut corners by hoping you get full off the rice!! i think they have a machine that pre-prepares the size of the nigiri rice so it's all uniform (and appropriately sized) and also why orders come out fairly quick. if you're just looking for max quantity of food, the regular AYCE is totally fine. but if you're wanting premium options, it's worth the price! just know that some premium items have caps on them (like uni is one per person only). service was attentive! BYOB!!! they don't sell alcohol, but allow you to bring your own.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parked on Makaloa Street for free, which I do not recommend. My friend and I felt anxious walking back to our car due to the passerby people. I think other options could have been parking at Walmart and walking over. We walked in at around 4:15pm on a Friday and we were seated right away. We chose to do the classic AYCE ($36.95), which consisted of us ordering a bunch of appetizers, nigiri sushi, and a premium roll. I do not recommend the crispy rice because it falls apart and it's just a bunch of spicy tuna slapped onto a small bed of rice. I liked my seared salmon nigiri's. The premium roll we ordered was the "Be Happy Roll" which was good but a lot bigger than we were expecting. We finished our meal with Ube Melona, which is part of the AYCE menu. The menu is pretty similar but limited compared to the AYCE sushi places in Las Vegas. I am wondering if this Sumo AYCE Sushi is related to the ones there. For $36+ AYCE this place was underwhelming. I do still recommend trying this place and deciding for yourself if it is worth it. If you do come here, come hungry because there is a lot to eat!

Cute little AYCE sushi on Ke'eaumoku St (same building as the Azure condos). Entrance to the parking lot of off of Ke'eaumoku (but we didn't try, and found street parking on Makaloa). Ala Cart or AYCE; 90 minute max seating with two price points, Classic $36.95 and Premium $46.95. Servers were attentive, everything we ordered came out in a timely manner. The only "different" thing I'd like to point out is that each round had a max order of 10 items. Totally understand why they do this. As a party of four, this did make ordering everything a little longer than anticipated. Bathrooms are not in the restaurant! Ask the servers for directions and the code, cause that's a mouthful to type out lol.

6/10 Very "mainland" ayce sushi spot. Owner is Korean- I found most of the sauces to be too sweet for my preference. We got the 36.99 ayce option. The best thing there was surprising the "stuffed tomato" which was salmon wrapped around imitation crab and the plain ahi and salmon nigiri. Fish quality isn't great but exactly what you would expect at ayce. Inside: Previous location where Domo Cafe was, TINY sitting area- maybe 20 ish people max and the tables were pretty close to each other. Service is alright, some were friendly and others seemed like this is their first job ever (which is totally ok!) LOL Parking: Convenient location with lots of parking in the Azure building.

Definitely recommend! Sushi is great, they don't give a ton of rice for a AYCE place, and you get a honeydew melona bar for desert. They are in their soft opening so only Dinner from 4-10pm for now. We had to wait 50 min, but it was worth it. We got there at 8pm, signed our name on the list, and got in right before their last seating at 9pm. I'd recommend being there by 7pm cause it's first come first served and there's only approximately 9 tables (rough estimate). Service is great. They explained the menu. For our table of 2 we were able to order 2 rolls and up to 8 other items at a time. Normal AYCE rules. 90 min and finish all our food. Food came out fast and they quickly got in another order. The staff was very attentive when we asked for another water pitcher and more ginger. Kind or a rough area to park. I'm not sure if they have parking but we just parked in a metered stall on the street. They also don't have beer, wine, or sake there yet in case you like to accompany your sushi with libations.

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... It was challenging to find someone to go with me to this new All You Can Eat sushi place on the ground level of the Azure condominium building on Keeaumoku Street, but my friend from Virginia was in town and she said she was game! We've known each other since the First Grade! I knew where the free parking was - go up the ramp from Keeaumoku Street and park in the stalls marked for the retail shops... not the guest stalls, because those are for guests of the residents. We didn't have a reservation, so we walked in around 4pm when Sumo AYCE Sushi opens. We easily got a table for two. Our server went over the two menu options with us. We both chose the Classic Menu for $36.95 plus tax and tip. We could order up to ten selections, including one roll, at one time. Our server had some issues counting and twice we received items that we didn't order. We were able to stay more than the 90 minutes limit - thank you! It was a bit noisy for our catch-up conversation, but the environment was clean, air-conditioned, well-lit, and modern. I think the smokiness from the open kitchen grilling or frying affected my eyes. They were tearing and felt irritated. The food was alright. We liked the lemon salmon, bulgogi garlic bread, salmon collar, melona bars, salmon skinbroll, and salmon carpacio the best. The garlic ahi and garlic salmon had a slight kick to them. The squid, shrimp, octopus, vegetable tempura, imitation crab, shrimp tempura, lasagna roll, edamame, and cucumber salad were okay. Overall, it was a fun experience!

This was an awesome restaurant to have ayce sushi! I was so excited to come here as I had planned coming here 2 weeks ago. After we sat down, and glad that we came early, I just couldn't stop eating. TIP #1 - nice to come in a group so that you can try other dishes the others in your group ordered. We all went for the higher priced Premium AYCE menu so that we could try everything. Quality of Food: Very good and tasty, although just a bit small in the fish portion. But that's ok since it was ayce. Plus the rice portion was small so you don't get full fast on rice! Service: Excellent as the waiters came around often to take the next orders. Atmosphere: Clean, bright, and airy. Two side of the exterior wall were full height glass so you have a full view of the streets and people walking by. Plus, you can see all the people waiting to get in. TIP #2 - come early. Afterthought: One week later I kept thinking about SUMO...wanting to go back for another ayce session. :o) read more

We tried Sumo AYCE Sushi last month when they weren't on Yelp yet. I'm sure their system would be better now but this is based off when I went. We first arrived at 5PM and there were some groups waiting in line outside already. The restaurant itself wasn't open yet but no one really knew what time they were opening as there was no signage for their hours and there was no sign up sheet either. About an hour goes by and the worker came out and started a sign up sheet at 6PM. Thankfully everyone was honest and groups let the worker know who was next in order. There are no reservations accepted so it is based on walk-ins. We got seated right after opening and once you're seated, there is a 90 minute time limit. We did the AYCE. We ordered our items and in the beginning, the nigiri's came out pretty quick. However, there were rolls and other appetizer items we ordered in our first round that we did not get it at all till the end of our meal even after following up of our order. With the 90 minute time limit, most the time there was sitting waiting for our items but the time limit was not being enforced. Quality of fish is okay. I wouldn't call it fresh but it's good for the price you're paying for. The fish to rice ratio is generous and lighter on the rice which is perfect to fill up on other items. Not everything on the menu was available when we were there such as the ama ebi. Also, they limit some items to one per person/table? There were three of us and we tried to order uni for each of us but they only allowed one so only one of us were able to get the uni. They also offer dessert apart of the AYCE menu and when we tried to order it, the worker said we had to pay for it. But it said on the menu there is one dessert per AYCE and eventually allowed each of us to have it without its own separate charge. The workers were also nice and apologetic. They did just open and are learning their system so we were very understanding. It is located on the ground floor of the Azure building on the corner of Keeaumoku. There is free first hour of parking available. Seems to be easier to get seated for 1-2 people. I noticed groups of 3+ having to wait longer for a table to come available but smaller groups who came later were able to get seated immediately. read more

Came after 4pm and saw a sign in sheet at the door. I was the first in the 5:30pm box. Signed in at 4:07pm and was called at 5:17pm. Upon entering there was a weird smell. We ordered the classic ayce and items came out fairly quick. Servers infrequently came by at times which wasn't a huge deal. We tried several items. My favorites were the corn cheese garlic bread and Japanese lasagna. I couldn't get enough of them. Price was a bit high but the food was delicious. I'd come back again. read more

Japanese sushi? Yes. Authentic and flavorful? No. Worth it? No. - Seating is first come, first serve. No reservations. Inaccurate wait times. 1 hour turned to 2.5 hours without warning. - Poor ambiance. Last seating is 8:30 PM, staff were mopping and cleaning up by 8 PM with customers still waiting for their food. Fabuloso filled the restaurant. - No AC. I saw people with their own mobile fans. At least 82° at night, cant imagine during the day. No breeze, no ceiling fans to combat the warm body heat throughout the restaurant. - Ordering is complicated. Regular vs premium. Some menu items you can only order 1 time. Servers will stand there and wait for you to order even if you ask for more time. Water is not given unless requested. Wasabi and ginger are not given unless requested. - Pricing is reasonable, hence the two stars. - Menu items itself are fusion based. Jalapenos, Tostitos chips, BBQ sauce, and lettuce wraps are what youll find. The sushi itself is OK - but be prepared to try a wide variety of dishes, all globally inspired. Would not come back. So many other consistently yummy sushi spots in the area that dont make you wait as long as we did just to sit in a sauna. The meal was hard to enjoy. read more

This was our first time trying this all-you-can-eat spot, and overall it was a mixed experience. The biggest downside was the wait. You have to write your name on a clipboard, but the time slots listed don't actually mean anything since seating is strictly first-come, first-served. We ended up waiting about 1 hour and 40 minutes just to be called, which felt especially long considering there's a 90-minute dining limit once you're seated. Once we finally sat down, things did improve. The servers were very nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly and consistently, which helped offset the long wait. The seating layout could also use some improvement. The dining area felt cramped and concentrated in one section, and it seemed like the space could be utilized better. It would be nice to see bar-style seating around the food prep area, which could help open things up and possibly increase seating without making it feel so crowded. As for the food, some dishes were good, but many leaned too sweet for our taste. There appeared to be a similar sweet sauce used across multiple dishes, which made them start to taste the same. The standout dish for me was the yuzu yellowtail, which didn't have that sweet sauce and was easily my favorite. Overall, it was worth trying at least once, and you can definitely get your money's worth. However, if I came back, I'd likely stick to ordering only the dishes that don't use the sweet sauce. read more

We waited for an hour on a Friday night. Make sure to come early or not during the dinner rush. There's limited free parking at Azure. Once seat the food came fast and service was good. The inside was kinda cramped and loud. The nigiri and salmon carpaccio were good, but what stood out was the KFC, it was delicious. Truffle fries were lacking flavor, wish there was ketchup. My friend order a salmon roll (salmon, rice and seaweed) thinking it would be fine, since there are no gluten ingredients, but we believe it was cross contaminated since she started to feel unwell. They probably cut all the rolls with the same knife and board. Can't be helped since it's not a gluten free verified restaurant. It would be great if they have a separate area to prepare gluten free food away from those that contain gluten so there's less chance of contamination and more people can enjoy the experience. read more

Great experience! Worth it to me. Located on the corner of Makaloa St and Ke'eaumoku St on the 1st floor of Azure Ala Moana across from Walmart. Looks like PARKING will be FREE for the first hour and $1 each additional hour for a limited amount of hours. We went on January 4 and they were serving DINNER ONLY. The sign up sheet is posted at 3:30 on a FCFS basis. First seating is at 4:00. 4 groups (2-6 guest) at a time are seated every 30 minutes. The sushi chefs got items to our table in a timely manner. This is not a large establishment. I travel all over the world and have had some of the freshest sushi, especially in Japan. Well this isn't Japan, lol! We went there opened minded and were surprised that the quality was not bad. We were satisfied with everything we ordered. Premium items are 1 order per person but you can purchase anything ala carte if you want more. I was disappointed that they ran out of my favorite Uni in the first hour. The staff were very nice and attentive. Everyone is learning but they did a fantastic job. Thank you to our server Oliver! We will definitely be back! read more

Today was our first time eating at the new AYCE restaurant, and it was pretty good. Our server was attentive, service was quick with each round, and they were constantly checking if we needed anything. I would definitely try the premium option next time! Came on a Friday at around 8:15pm and we didn't have to wait long. The service was fast and the servers were very nice and explained the menu as it was our parties first time here. The quality of the sushi was so fresh and good and the AYCE is worth it, we just went with the classic menu which was still a good selection. Sumo Sushi is still busy months after opening and first time trying it, the food quality and service is most excellent. Never once did we have to wait or hunt down a server to help us. They were always coming by at the right time and very helpful with our orders. As for the food; each sushi and roll tasted fresh. I had it cold with the dipping sauce and wow wow wow. So good. My friends suggested I get the shrimp and vegetable tempura as well which amazingly stayed crispy the whole time I savored each bite. Probably 30 minutes. Light crisp batter on perfectly cooked shrimp and veggies. Damn it was good. The service was great as well and I cannot wait to go back. Nice warm atmosphere and there's a free parking lot. It gets busy during lunch and dinner, so get there early or make a reservation. Enjoy!

First time coming good. Came about 5:30 and was seated right. Opted to try their Classic AYCE for $36.95 for me and the wife. We definitely ordered our moneys worth. If we didn't do the AYCE for what we ordered, we would have spend about $150.00. We tried all types of roll dishes, but the Orange Blossom Roll was by far my favorite. Everything was onolicious and the service was like a 5 star restaurant. ALL the staff was on it with service both bringing dishes to your table and removing the empty ones as soon as you were done to clear the table for new dishes coming out. There aren't many AYCE places here on the island especially not at this price. My #1 favorite thing on the menu is the lemon salmon roll. So, so good, I could eat 2-3 rolls on a visit lol. Service is great! Servers are attentive and you get your food pretty quick since it's not a big restaurant so you're not waiting forever for your orders. Staff is always friendly.
