All you can eat, Classic: $36.95, premium: $46.95 We went there around lunchtime, and it wasn't too crowded. It was a fun place to eat, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price. Everything was just okay. I would go back there with my boyfriend again or with friends for the experience, but I wouldn't go back there just for the food. I have a Asian style review, Three stars: good/average Four starts: delicious, I would recommend Five stars: very delicious/great, I highly recommend, I would go back to eat 星3つです。私の星3つは普通に美味しいです。私の星4つは美味しい、おすすめする場所。私の星5つは、凄く美味しい、おすすめするし、また行きたい。恋人と友達と行って楽しいレストラン！味はまあまあ、普通かな。

You need that Sumo appetite... Along with the stealth speed and precise knowledge of what you're having because there is a lot going on in just 90 minutes. Yes that's the time you have so be sure everyone is there and start immediately as they will remind you down the the minute of your time left and give your last call and just because you do so you still need to consume it all so be mindful. Don't get me wrong I left with a full happy belly but as this was my first time just didn't know what to expect. The restaurant itself is kinda small but does best with seating it's just their menu there are two prices Classic for $36.95 and Premium for $46.95 and if one person gets the premium the whole table will be charged the same regardless so we all need to be on the same vibe. It's very clear which is Premium as it's highlighted in red and has the icon as well BUT there are a few items that are limit to 1 per person so if you two you can order it twice. What I do like is the clear ingredient information on more complex orders and portion size I think is just right as there's nothing more annoying than a large portion to fill you up and the sushi rice is tiny so you're not eating mostly rice as well. The staff check on you frequent enough that you know that you can put in your order in a timely manner and the food comes out quite fast as well. Parking is free upstairs in the building while the restroom is outside on the second level where you need a code to enter, drinks aren't included with the price but I had a nice experience and would definitely return. This shiny, new business located on the corner of Keeaumoku and Makaloa is on the bottom of the Azure building near to Ireh. They do not take reservations so be prepared to wait if you go at a busy time. We went on a Wednesday night and waited around 30 min . There are around 8-9 tables with a 90 min time limit. It is $36.95 for the Classic AYCE and $46.95 for the Premium. No brainer if you are a sushi eater and like the higher end stuff. Funny a lot of the customers were big young local and Asian guys. At several tables there was no conversation since they were on their phones. Instead of talking they were getting their money's worth by stuffing themselves with sushi. No doubt this place has good value if you have a healthy appetite and enjoy sushi. We ordered a bunch of stuff but these were the faves. With the premium option certain items can only be ordered once . 1 piece only *oyster, *sweet shrimp, *uni, *salmon carpaccio *yellowtail carpaccio, *yellowtail collar *yuzu yellow tail *fresh water eel, *ikura,*Aomori scallop Dessert Melona bar sadly no nondairy options. Fast before you come and get even better value!

Great all you can eat place near Sam's Club in town! In my opinion it's worth getting the premium option, that lets you order ama ebi, uni, hamachi collar, oysters, and other expensive options. Note they do limit some dishes mentioned to just 1 per person so keep that in mind! Many many offerings that you just order from a menu. Their sushi rolls are huge. Walk the meal off at Ala Moana nearby for a great night.

We came here and tried the basic AYCE option at about $35. There was a pretty good number of options on the menu from rolls, nigiri, salads, soup/noodles, fries, appetizers, etc. I was not expecting much for the quality, but we were surprised how good the quality was for an AYCE place. The only down sides were that my 5 year old daughter (who only likes edamame lol) was still $16.96 lol, and also, it was extremely warm in there - both us and other tables we're sweating and fanning themselves with the menu. Overall though, we enjoyed this place and will be back :) We love that parking was easy as well (garage parking)

Sushi lovers unite! It's so nice to have another AYCE sushi place in town. The location is on Keeaumoku so it can get busy! We had a party of 4 and put our names down a little after opening. We waited maybe 30ish minutes as there were groups ahead of us, some left cause they didn't want to wait longer. The restaurant itself is pretty small. You can tell they aren't able to accommodate big parties and if you do, there's a good chance you'll be seated separately. But the food is made fresh to order, so I can imagine it can be hard to serve big groups. The menu is pretty straightforward. We opted for the premium menu, which allows us to order from the red items as well. The ones with the number next to it indicates the limit you can order (not AYCE). But if you have others in your group who don't want it, just take their share. They have many different items to order so it's great for picky people too! They also offer take out, but it will be regular priced, not part of the AYCE. The dishes were presentable and fresh! In some AYCE I've seen, they go more for quantity than quality. Sumos is definitely quality. I highly recommend! There may be a wait to dine, but it's worth it!

My 2-year old said she wanted sushi for dinner. So I was like perfect let's try Sumo instead of going to Genki again! They do not take reservations so I called ahead of time to see if there's a long wait. They said no. Ok let's go! I parked at the condo Azure (entrance to parking on Keaamoku) and it was free! Take the elevator down and that will take you to an exit right next to all the restaurants. So I arrived Sumo around 5:20. There were 2 empty tables so we were seated right away. My daughter got to eat free yay! (I'm not sure the cutoff age but when I told them my daughter is 2 they just said free) So there are 2 options: classic ayce $36.95 and premium ayce $46.95. I chose classic ayce and to me that was good enough I already got many items to choose from. I tried some nigiri, appetizers and rolls and they were all surprisingly good. The fish was good and they gave you big pieces with just little bit of rice so they're not trying to fill you up with rice. Service was fast and attentive. Servers were very friendly. Even got free ice cream at the end. Will definitely come back. Hopefully they will keep up with the good quality of food and service!

Decent newish AYCE sushi place! Inside Azure, there is also a lot in the building. Food - 4/5 I liked how the nigiris are smaller than usual so that I could eat more of them. The rolls were decently big though, so I wouldn't order too many if you want to eat a variety of items. If you are doing the regular AYCE tier, I would recommended the Be Happy Roll, it has soft-shell crab! The ice cream at the end was also a nice touch. Service - 4/5 Decent service. They were very fast at bringing out the food! Ambiance - 4/5

Overall, the food is good, and most of the dishes are made to order. There are plenty of sushi options, although many feature the same type of fish with different sauces or toppings. My favorites were the corn cheese garlic bread and takoyaki. The sushi portions are small, which works well for an AYCE, it lets you try a wider variety of dishes. The sushi rolls were excellent as well. The service was decent. There is a limit on how many items you can order each round, and sometimes you'll have to wait a little while for a server to come by so you can place your next order. Parking is free and conveniently located in the same building.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parked on Makaloa Street for free, which I do not recommend. My friend and I felt anxious walking back to our car due to the passerby people. I think other options could have been parking at Walmart and walking over. We walked in at around 4:15pm on a Friday and we were seated right away. We chose to do the classic AYCE ($36.95), which consisted of us ordering a bunch of appetizers, nigiri sushi, and a premium roll. I do not recommend the crispy rice because it falls apart and it's just a bunch of spicy tuna slapped onto a small bed of rice. I liked my seared salmon nigiri's. The premium roll we ordered was the "Be Happy Roll" which was good but a lot bigger than we were expecting. We finished our meal with Ube Melona, which is part of the AYCE menu. The menu is pretty similar but limited compared to the AYCE sushi places in Las Vegas. I am wondering if this Sumo AYCE Sushi is related to the ones there. For $36+ AYCE this place was underwhelming. I do still recommend trying this place and deciding for yourself if it is worth it. If you do come here, come hungry because there is a lot to eat!

Cute little AYCE sushi on Ke'eaumoku St (same building as the Azure condos). Entrance to the parking lot of off of Ke'eaumoku (but we didn't try, and found street parking on Makaloa). Ala Cart or AYCE; 90 minute max seating with two price points, Classic $36.95 and Premium $46.95. Servers were attentive, everything we ordered came out in a timely manner. The only "different" thing I'd like to point out is that each round had a max order of 10 items. Totally understand why they do this. As a party of four, this did make ordering everything a little longer than anticipated. Bathrooms are not in the restaurant! Ask the servers for directions and the code, cause that's a mouthful to type out lol.

6/10 Very "mainland" ayce sushi spot. Owner is Korean- I found most of the sauces to be too sweet for my preference. We got the 36.99 ayce option. The best thing there was surprising the "stuffed tomato" which was salmon wrapped around imitation crab and the plain ahi and salmon nigiri. Fish quality isn't great but exactly what you would expect at ayce. Inside: Previous location where Domo Cafe was, TINY sitting area- maybe 20 ish people max and the tables were pretty close to each other. Service is alright, some were friendly and others seemed like this is their first job ever (which is totally ok!) LOL Parking: Convenient location with lots of parking in the Azure building.

Definitely recommend! Sushi is great, they don't give a ton of rice for a AYCE place, and you get a honeydew melona bar for desert. They are in their soft opening so only Dinner from 4-10pm for now. We had to wait 50 min, but it was worth it. We got there at 8pm, signed our name on the list, and got in right before their last seating at 9pm. I'd recommend being there by 7pm cause it's first come first served and there's only approximately 9 tables (rough estimate). Service is great. They explained the menu. For our table of 2 we were able to order 2 rolls and up to 8 other items at a time. Normal AYCE rules. 90 min and finish all our food. Food came out fast and they quickly got in another order. The staff was very attentive when we asked for another water pitcher and more ginger. Kind or a rough area to park. I'm not sure if they have parking but we just parked in a metered stall on the street. They also don't have beer, wine, or sake there yet in case you like to accompany your sushi with libations.

Service: average. Only 4 servers on the floor, and have to flag different server for water and napkin. Food: average. Uni is good though. I want to grab a bottle of ice tea, server told me I have to pay which I told him I know. Interesting AYCE don't include drinks. Price: if you don't eat the premium items, don't do the premium AYCE. Regular price is good. Wait time: I went around 5, no wait but server recommend I come back at 6 since my party won't be there until 6:30. When I came back at 6, the wait is so long! We waited 1.5 hours to be seated. Wait time is long because of the limited space inside. The restaurant inside is greasy because I could smell the oil on my hair even after 2 days. If there is no wait time, you could try. But if waited more than 30 minutes, not recommend. Parking is free but very limited. read more

Went to try the new all you can eat sushi. We arrived at around 4:30 (they open at 4) and the anticipated wait was 2 hours but really it was around an hour and a half. Understandable, since they just opened and the restaurant is on the smaller side. With Ala Moana across the street, it's easy to pass time. Just make sure you are there around the expected time, or you may lose your table. You get a call and then they will seat you right away. There's regular and premium options for AYCE. We went with the regular option, about $37pp and it had a lot of options: nigiri, appetizers/small plates, soups/udon, and a whole array of rolls. We ordered 4 rolls, some appetizers (gyoza, jalapeño bombs, K.F.C.), miso soup, and lots of nigiri. They do light rice on the nigiri, which I liked so I could fill up on other food items. The lemon salmon nigiri was by far my most favorite. Because it's a small space, the seating felt a little tight, but overall service was good and amount of food was great for the price. You can definitely eat your moneys worth within the 90 minute time limit. Free parking at AZURE. read more

Simon was an amazing server. We go to a lot of AYCE sushi spots, so we've had our fair share of experiences, and Simon truly made this visit stand out. He was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving smoothly without us ever having to ask for anything. You can tell he really cares about making sure guests have a great time. The food was also really good. Honestly, we thought it was better than Kan's Sushi AYCE, especially the mussels and the yellowtail collar -- those were standout dishes for sure. Great service and great food. We'll definitely be back, and we hope Simon is our server again! read more

On a rainy day in March, this little sushi spot felt like the perfect escape. The service was quick and the ratio from fish to rice was good. Even after ordering more fish, the rice did not increase even after each order unlike some ayce sushi places. When ordering, you are allowed 10 orders per round. I highly recommend. read more

Ordering was very easy and the food came out timely. We both had the premium which offered better selection and food was delicious. My only complaint was not being offered hot water topped off for my tea. It took me a while to flag someone down to refill. This was an amazing AYCE option. We arrived an hour after they opened for dinner. We got seated fairly quickly and beat the rush. The atmosphere here is cool. Music has a nice lofi feel. Most food places I've seen would open, start well for the first couple of weeks, and then die down later on til closure. Sumo Sushi is still busy months after opening and first time trying it, the food quality and service is most excellent. Never once did we have to wait or hunt down a server to help us. They were always coming by at the right time and very helpful with our orders. As for the food; each sushi and roll tasted fresh. You have all types of interesting flavors from savory, sweet, and spicy. Plenty of options to try! Sumo Sushi is one of the AYCE that seem to do it right! read more

I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Since it's still their soft opening and they didn't have everything on the menu, I had their classic AYCE instead of premium (which would cost $10 more). The quality of sushi and nigiri was very good. The batter of tempuras was a little too thick and not very crispy. A nice surprise was that they had Melona and B.B.Big included in the AYCE menu. We were seated right away, and since it was our first time, our server explained the menu to us. I thought it was kind of weird with so many rules--like we can only order two appetizers, two rolls at a time, and then a total of 10 items at a time. It was kind of hard to remember! But after getting the two rolls, I understand why there's a limit to only two rolls at a time: they're huge. I almost wish they were smaller so we could try more. Food-wise, this was honestly one of the best AYCE places we've been to. Everything was so good! My favorite was the garlic tuna nigiri, my two and four-year-old loved the gyoza, and I also loved the KFC chicken. So Ono! The only thing I wouldn't get again was the crispy rice. My husband and I were completely full off of the two rolls and various nigiri and appetizers. Service was pretty quick, but none of our dishes were cleared throughout our meal, so the table got pretty crowded and messy. Also, a little thing to improve on: we were there with a two and four-year-old, and a few of the songs had flat-out swearing. I usually wouldn't care, but the whole "I see you winding and grinding up on the pole. I wanna f*** you" played all the way through where they say the four-letter word. I thought, wow, they're gonna catch this, but nope. Then two songs later, a song all about bouncing that ass played. We did the premium all you can eat. Everyone at the table must do the same. We had a 4 year old with us, and they initially wanted to charge us the same price for our 4 year old (which was ridiculous!). We had to have our waiter ask the higher-ups to make the exception for us. The service was mediocre. They barely gave us enough water. We kept having to ask for a refill and even with us asking, they didn't bring it out and we had to ask again and again. The premium was not very premium in my opinion. The first yellowtail collar came out cold and the last two didn't even look like collars. They only let you order 10 items at a time, but each nigiri comes with 2 pcs only, so if you order 3 orders of nigiri for 3 people, that counts as 3 already, which meant we had to keep ordering to even have enough at a time; and because the service was so slow, it was not ideal. Went the other day just before 5pm and walked right in. Only about 1/3 of the tables were taken. Servers were nice and attentive, bit awkward though felt like they were hovering a bit too much. Food was OK. Some cuts of fish like the ahi were decent, but others like the scallop and hamachi were pretty bad. The hamachi in particular had that weird, off-white opaque look I've seen at mainland sushi places. Def a very low quality fish. Before you get all up on me for this being an AYCE place so that's why they can't have good quality fish... I am comparing this to Ahi & Vegetable. Same price point... cheaper even compared to this place's premium menu, and the fish cuts are way bigger and the quality of the cuts like hamachi, salmon, scallop are much fresher and nicer. I had such a great experience at Sumo AYCE Sushi! I honestly loved everything about it -- the food, the servers, and how incredibly fast everything came out. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made the whole experience really enjoyable. Every dish we ordered was delicious, but some of my favorites were the Jackpot Roll, Tiger Roll, Seared Salmon, Mexican Roll, and the Lisa Lisa Roll. First time coming good. Came about 5:30 and was seated right. Opted to try their Classic AYCE for $36.95 for me and the wife. We definitely ordered our moneys worth. If we didn't do the AYCE for what we ordered, we would have spend about $150.00. We tried all types of roll dishes, but the Orange Blossom Roll was by far my favorite. Everything was onolicious and the service was like a 5 star restaurant. ALL the staff was on it with service both bringing dishes to your table and removing the empty ones as soon as you were done to clear the table for new dishes coming out. I don't have enough fingers to count how many times I've been here, either solo or with friends or family. I LOVE this place! Excellent quality of seafood for the price point. There aren't many AYCE places here on the island especially not at this price. My #1 favorite thing on the menu is the lemon salmon roll. So, so good, I could eat 2-3 rolls on a visit lol. Service is great! Servers are attentive and you get your food pretty quick since it's not a big restaurant so you're not waiting forever for your orders. Staff is always friendly. The stores are pretty small with few seating options, so I recommend keeping your group size small or being okay with splitting up. Each bowl comes with miso soup. The portions are pretty large and you come out feeling stuffed. Each of the fish are fresh and flavorful. I do prefer the kaisen don over the negitoro as you can appreciate each cut of fish more distinctly.
