    My car broke down! And I asked Siri to "find me the nearest car repair place" and gave me Sun Devil Auto less than a mile from where I had parked my car waiting for AAA. First I asked them if they did repairs on my make and model. And when I described the problem...(Wayne, I believe) identifed possibility of the problem. When AAA (finally) took my vehicle to SunDevil, I was met with a friendly person who took my information, after describing what happened, to start the process of getting me back on the road. It took them about an hour or so to figure what happened and tell me what's necessary to get me going same day. What I really liked is that they took "walk ins" cause they are/were busy...every bay had a car. Granted my car had the decency to breakdown before noon...so that helped. Overall the repair, did it take longer than I expected but really feel like they did the best they could do for a "walk-in" Meanwhile, I waited in their comfortable waiting area; saw them interact with customers (via phone or in person) that mostly appreciated the service they provided. That said they had to deal with some random people that had my eyes rolling...let's just say people can be mean...and this team dealt with it as best as possible. Lastly, the lobby has "amenities" like a Keurig coffee maker, water dispenser, pop corn maker, a little table for the kiddies, vending machine AND massive and gentle black lab. After unexpectedly spent a lot of my day here; I thought if they were in my home town they'd be my go to place for my cars.

    I am giving two stars because of the only positives: they scheduled my inspection within a few days…read moreof calling and Justin, the technician that arrived, was very nice. However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

    I originally chose Christian Brothers on McQueen and Guadalupe because they appeared organized,…read moredetail-oriented, and professional. I purchased four tires for my Ford Transit work van and trusted their recommendation, assuming they were providing the correct tires for the vehicle. Less than a year later, one of the tires began splitting. I took the van to another shop that was closer because I did not feel safe driving all the way back to their shop. It was at the new shop where I was informed that the tires installed on my van were not properly rated to handle the weight of the vehicle and should not have been installed in the first place. I contacted Christian Brothers to explain the situation and was told I would need to drive the van back to their shop -- despite the damaged tire -- for them to determine whether anything would be covered under warranty. While I was getting the quote elsewhere to replace all four tires, Christian Brothers called back and offered a slightly lower price if I purchased another full set through them. In the end, the difference was only about $100 compared to the other shop. A shop I had never even used before, and that was the cost with no additional warranties or discounts (like Christian Brothers was claiming to be giving me). They stated they were giving me tires at cost and not charging for labor, not true. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me some huge favor by giving me such a small discount. Their front desk employee, Eric was as "helpful" as he could be throughout the process, but overall should have pushed harder with his upper management to resolve this. They should have completely comped the price of the old tires as this was their, dangerous mistake. Now they're not only making money off of me but also causing me to lose additional money by missing work to fix a problem they caused. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially considering the original tires that they chose were improper for a work van like mine. All of this resulted in me needing to purchase two sets of tires within a single year!!! I expressed to them that being without my van would result in loss of money as it is my work vehicle. They had no concern for my time, money and no sense of urgency to resolve the situation that they caused. I had to leave my vehicle with them for more than a day the first time and again overnight the second time. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Today really confirmed it. I found out my tires were wearing out at just 24,000 miles. When I went back to the place I bought them, the first thing I was told was, "You didn't buy the warranty." What they meant was an additional warranty--completely brushing past the fact that there's still a manufacturer's warranty. Then I was told it would be a 2-3 hour wait just to have someone look at them. Frustrated, I went straight to Ron's and talked with Tom. Within minutes, he clearly explained the difference, confirmed the manufacturer warranty, and was upfront about what he could and couldn't do since he didn't sell me the tires. And then--without any pressure--he went above and beyond and adjusted my new tire quote to help offset the situation. That kind of integrity is rare. I came back later because my fob was acting up, and they checked it throughout the entire day trying to figure it out. Turns out my cute little bedazzled push-button accessory was blocking the connection. They took it off for me for free and walked me through everything without rushing or brushing me off. They asked questions, listened to every detail, and genuinely cared about helping. I feel so much better knowing I finally have an auto shop I can trust. 1000/10 recommend.
