I purchased a pair of Ace…read moreBranded gloves on Saturday morning and came to return them and buy a more robust pair (for more money per pair) as the gloves did not last 3 hours of yard work - they had holes in the glove. The young lady refused to take the gloves back because they were used. I told her I knew that as I was the one who used them. After several verbal exchanges and her picking at the shredded glove, I got upset and called her a blockhead. (Not good by me) She said I had to see a store Manager. I just returned from attempting to return the gloves and buy a better pair, and Austin, the store manager, also refused the return, and I told him I would never be back. He smiled and said goodbye. I guess at $17.00 pair of gloves is worth really ticking off a customer. It's all smiles while buying, but not when you try and return a defective pair of gloves and buy a more expensive pair. I am done shopping at ACE. I want to buy locally, but I guess the cost of acquiring a new customer is less than $17.00. The store will not suffer one bit from my choice, but it is my choice to make. I purchased a dog pool here with paw print art and it's been great and lasted 2 summers. This season I decided to replace with a new one. However the one I purchased this season has fish as the art. It's a thinner plastic and doesn't work well for small dogs. The art is peeling off in a weird way and making goopy mess. The sides just bend and folds the plastic making it tear easily. I will be on the lookout to see if they get any paw printed pools and I will change my star to five if they do. Dog paw pools and fish contractor pools are way different.

When I know precisely what to get I am offered assistance. Most of the time I don't and am either invisible or not as interesting as the floor. If I have the time I go to a place on Country Club in Mesa. Employees at self checkout are excellent. My experience is the E McDowell store is better than other Lowes local locations. My experience with plants has been good since the location opened.

I've been shopping at Home Depots nonstop since 1992 and I just cannot recall the last time somebody went as far out of their way as he did to help me with something... I felt like I had to let people know about it... Thank you, James for going above and beyond to help me, especially with something that one could consider as trivial as my the problem I had.. but you didn't hesitate to ask me if there was something that you could help me with when you saw me wandering around looking like a lost puppy-and when I mentioned my silly little problem, you dropped everything and literally walked all the way across the store to the other side, just to try to help me, and it worked didn't it... Customer service is largely dead nowadays, so when someone sticks their head up and goes above and beyond, it really stands out... They do not return calls. They say they will escalate and push it forward They ignore you. They order incorrect cabinetry parts. They don't even know that the parts are wrong even though I've notified them 5 times. 4 months and I'm nowhere close to having my home back.
