Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience at Sun Nails. This was my second visit and the first time is what brought me back this time around. This time I decided to get both a gel mani-pedi. I had to have one my nails fixed more than once though I expressed what I was not satisfied with. I asked for the specific nail to be fixed and I still left very dissatisfied with the quality of my gel mani. The gel pedicure was decent, but another technician had to complete my nail art as my original tech couldn't do what I had ask. Not to mention I was cut 2x during my service.. Overall my concern is the quality of care of my nails, they shave them down over soaking previous gel polish. I'm not entirely sure if tools are being sanitized properly- judging how they go from client to client.. though I hope I'm wrong. I hope your experience will be better than mine. read more

The person who did my nails was Lyena, I was in with gel polish wanting to get it removed and do a new color. My nails are all natural taking several months to grow them to the length they are now. Lyena was aggressive with my nails, I don't think she put enough acetone when trying to remove the gel polish leading her to over filing them. She then proceeded to put them in water for a long period of time when working on my other hand making my nails even weaker. Then when removing my cuticles, she used the tool to try and remove excess paint resulting in breaking my natural nail. She then proceeds to try and fix it with acrylic leaving the nail looking lumpy and uncomfortable at the end of the service when I brought up a discount, she proceeded to say no because my nails were weak. First off, they give their customers a discount for giving good reviews on Yelp or Google. So I wouldn't trust all these 5 stars. One of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. My manicurist was so sweet but she didn't really seem to know what she was doing. She only did a second coat on one of my hands. The other hand only had ONE COAT! She painted over my cuticles and I had to ask her to clean it up and I still left w polish on my cuticles. She also trimmed my cuticles without softening and pushing them down first. The mani and pedis are supposed to be accompanied by a 3min massage. They don't do this. This place is lame sorry 2 stars because the women are really sweet read more

I usually get my nails done by Vincent I've been coming here for nearly 11 years, yesterday I popped in for a quick regular mani and pedi and I was extremely unsatisfied with their work. I didn't see how bad it was until I washed my hands this morning and all the oil was gone from my hands, even part of my nail polish is chipping. I wish Sun nails we're very honest about not being able to do the design. I explained to them that if they couldn't do it why didn't they tell me right away? They told me right in the middle of my nails almost being finished.! and the nail tech said she couldn't do 3-D as well and I told her well. I got this from your website and she says that all nails listed on here on yelp or the website or just for advertisement. I was disappointed to pay for nails that I didn't ask for. I had to ask them to paint the whole nail on the sections that were supposed to be ombré because it looks really bad and clumpy. I felt like if this wasn't a design they could've done. Bob took his time! He was thorough. He was personable, gentle and did such an impressionable job on my gel fill. I will certainly roll with him upon returning. They have hella polish options. They offer you lil mini bottles of water. The decor is decor'ing. There's chill music playing. The prices are decent considering the array of options. The shop offers add on services including, but not limited to hot stones, massages, facials and all the scrubs. You can really get it in here with a spa vibe. They even do lashes. Massage chairs are available while you get your pedicure on. There's an atm available. I switched to Sun Nails after going to my previous nail salon for over 10 years. I switched because my old nail salon did not have enough employees who knew how to do dip or gel x. They had one person who knew how to do that stuff and she was always booked. After paying a lot for dip and having an untrained person completely mess it up, I got fed switched to Sun Nails. I haven't looked back :) Sun nails has a lot of staff who can do a lot of different types of nails. You can walk in and someone will be ready to help you and will do an amazing job - even if you want gel x or dip! Each time Vince has done my nails, I have been pleased. BUT even after making an appointment, I have had to wait between 30 min to an hour on multiple occasions. This is ridiculous! I understand them being 10-15 min late getting to you even with appointment, almost an hour is just ridiculous and inconsiderate! Threw off other appointments/ errands I had planned for the day. They don't even ask if someone else can assist when they see the person you're waiting for us taking much longer with their previous customer.
