So I am updating my review and for the person who responded to me saying "I am infamous for asking for my money back at nail salons" YOU ARE RIGHT because they are INFAMOUS FOR COERSING YOU INTO GETTING MORE AND MORE SHIT DONE THAT YOU DON'T NEED!! So to answer your question, I WILL STOP ASKING FOR MY MONEY BACK WHEN THEY START LISTENING AND STOP SELLING ME SHIT I DON'T WANT!!! It's SOOOOOO ANNOYING having to argue with these technicians and repeatedly say "No thank you, no I'm fine, no thanks!" SERIOUSLY!?! NO MEANS NO! Then it's "why not...will look so good..." Until it's like "fine just do it already so I can go-to sleep!!!" If you like this kind of bullying agressive treatment because your some kind of manicurist masochist or can say NO!! 100x then this is the place for you! However, if you are looking to relax and just get what you asked for this isn't the place! I don't disagree, Nancy is very talented my nails looked exceptional for about 8 hrs while I was sleeping!! But I am looking for quantity with quality in my nail investments given that I paid $60 more than I budgeted!! She is also a nice person, this isn't a personal attack on her at all. I simply just do not like that she sold me something I didn't want or that my nails logistically could not support. It made no sense, but I trusted her and it went way wrong, at my expense! It is NOT A SCAM to gauruntee your craftsmanship, it's called CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. So I will continue to share my experience to help out anyone, especially my sister SMILFs out there, who need a quick nice affordable manicure for a possible date night that may or may not EVER happen! SO IF THIS ISNT YOUR LIFE THIS REVIEW ISNT FOR YOU - STEP ASIDE!! However, if you value your time, money and return on your investments, given we are now paying $5 a gallon for gas and $100 for fin fake nails now, THIS REVIEW IS FOR YOU - PLEASE READ ON... So although I would still highly recommend NOT getting this type of nail system put on your nails because it was excessively painful and is now completely fused to my really paperthin actual nails. I have gone to 3 salons and either they don't know how to take it off or they won't do it which lends itself to the conclusion that this is one of two things, 1. A system that is outdated and only Nancy knows how to do, clever business retention strategyBTW, or 2. It is no longer advised for use some reason. Either way it kind of forces you to only use her, if you fall for the COERSING like I did, and want to keep it. Here is the downside of that strategy, your stuck NEVER GETTING AN APPOINTMENT AGAIN!! Or having to book 3 weeks ahead of time! I came to Nancy because she is the BEST and highly recommended, but I waited 3 weeks to get this appointment to then have to go-to the ER and loose my nail!! I requested my money back because I couldn't go back and have it fixed without risking a Staph Infection since my real nail that she fused to this "fiberglass-"like material was completely ripped off and bleeding for several days on end! You don't go back and get that fixed you get immediate medical attention and pray you by-pass infection!! Which I did! Because I got Px antibiotic ointment! My point is this, THE JUICE WAS NOT WORTH THE SQUEEZE!! And ANY NAIL SALON THAT CONTINUES TO DO THIS KIND OF SHIT TO PEOPLE NEEDS TO FULLY REFUND THEM...PERIOD!! (insert SCAM here) because these salons overhead is very low and up these products are relatively inexpensive. Trying to find out the product information on my own for my follow up Dr appointment. I found this product on Amazon...(see pic) for $45 a container. She must use this one container on over 100 people at $85 dollars a pop that is over 400% profit!! But I'm the ASSHOLE HERE? Huh?! Now I agree we are then paying for Nancy's ability - talent, if you will, which then brings me back to the craftsmanship, which was EXCELLENT I WON'T DENY THAT, however it wasn't withstanding. Her inability to make a good determination about these materials against the condition of my nails was imperative and did not happen, thus I didn't get what I actually paid for did I?! All that being said, I am happy to report that Sun Nails has FINALLY HIT THE MARK, took accountability for their mistake, and fully refunded me my money! Gather round Millennials - That is what we once called "Customer Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back!" And it is still very effective! Now, even though I didn't like the lack of judgement on Nancy's part to do this foreign Build A Gel System on my nails, I can feel better knowing I didn't pay tenfold for it! Very unhappy with service. The young woman who did my manicure her jacket touched my wet finger nails twice. The first time she removed the whole nail polish from the nail and did it over. The second time she just put more nail polish on it to try to correct smudge. That one nail took forever to dry and it still looked smudge. Also later on I realized another nail was hurting, it turned out it was the way she cut the finger nail left a ragged edge that was cutting into my nail. I ended up having to file it smooth and ended up taking my nail polish off. Even though it seemed like a lot of nail polish bottles the selection was pretty sad. Also it hasn't bothered me in the past that most don't speak English however it was uncomfortable. Also the man that just seemed to be there almost watching over seemed weird. Not a good experience. I came in yesterday for a SPA DELUXE PEDICURE with callus removal, scrub, hot stone, and hot towel and the lady who did my toes did not understand a single word. My toes were not square per my request and Maya had to come help her clean the ingrown nails. Maya cleaned my ingrown and went back to doing a nail set without washing with soap. She simply rinsed at the pedicure chair with water only. Ms. Lady took more than two hours to complete and no champagne, water, or juice was provided and it states in the menu. I did not end up getting a hot stone and hot towel because it was longer than I anticipated and STILL got charged for everything. Maya did a simple manicure with exfoliating scrub, no nails or color whatsoever and tried to charge me $55 when the menu states $35. If I had not read the menu before hand they would have charged me the $55. Do not come here, save your money. read more

I have already referred 4 ladies to Nancy because she shapes like no other and takes her TIME with me every single time. Very clean and professional nail salon. I went to this place two times. The first time was good. I got the nails I wanted and it didn't take too long. I came in at my appointment time and was seen right away, even though there was other people there waiting and it seemed busy. I decided to come back to this place thinking I would become a regular and nope. The second time around was horrible. I came in at my scheduled appointment time, a time I had scheduled a week in advance, and was sitting around for 20 minutes past my appointment time. The nails techs there were working on other customers and there were nail techs running late as I saw them coming into the nail salon in a rush. The ones running late went to go help the techs that were already working on someone, ignoring me and three other customers waiting. No one acknowledged my appointment time and did not say anything about me waiting. I expected at least an update but no. I decided to call another nail spot in the area while I waited to see if they can take me in now and they said yes so I left. Also, beware of the cleanliness of the people there as the employees do not care if you are sick or not. The three customers who were waiting were obviously sick and coughing out in the open and sneezing without covering their mouth and no one working there said anything to them to protect themselves or other paying customers. I think that is absolutely outrageous. Overall, I would not come waste your time here. read more

Got the worst burn from eyebrow waxing. I initially thought it was just red and sore from a fresh wax but when I got in better light I noticed it was inflamed and bumpy. I put aloe very on it and burned so so so so bad. It's difficult to cover with makeup because it's a different texture plus anything that touches it makes it sting so bad. I really hope they see this to prevent this to happen from someone else. This is going to leave a scar :( read more
