Best smog place I have ever experienced in the bay area. I have worked as a mechanic most of my life. My mom had told me she had brought her car here and it didn't pass. I came with her to Sun Smog to see what was going on. Turns out it was because my Mom's car just got a new battery and the codes needed to be reset and had to go through a drive cycle. I've come to this smog place for years, and have always left happy. The guy who runs the place is very thorough, and works quickly. I've never had to wait, and have always been offered water while waiting. He's an honest car guy who doesn't gyp you (a rarity it seems nowadays), which is why my entire family goes to him for smog checks! read more

Love this place. I probably bring on average 6 work vehicles a year or so here and the service is always spot on. I've had a couple fail over the years but the owner is always more than happy to retest after your shop fixes the problem. I'll continue to use them as long as they're around. read more

Fair price. Fit me in without an appointment. Gave water and checked the air even though he knew I had Costco tires. Cleaned out the leaves. Did tell me my coolant was low. Set back a bit . Could be a little hard to find. read more

Fast and friendly service for smog test. Phong was very courteous and helpful. He said my tire pressure looked low and aired up all four tires to the correct PSI. He provided this extra service at no charge even though the invoices states $5 if this service is requested. Always appreciate when a business goes the extra mile. read more

I've come here for my past few smog checks. Great service here and the man that does the smog checks is so nice, friendly, and efficient. There is also a waiting area to sit in while you get your car smogged which is nice, especially compared to other smog locations. I was able to get my car serviced as soon as I pulled in at 830 am, but it's probably a good idea to call ahead. He checked my tire pressure and filled then for free. Amazing service!!! Phong was very nice and got the job done very well and quickly! Other places I have gone to prior have always had poor customer service, were rude and I would always feel like they would throw a bunch of jargon at me to try and confuse me. When I showed up here, I didn't have an appointment or anything and was just hoping to get my car in- right when I arrived phong greeted me, offered me refreshments and said he'd be right with me in a matter of minutes! He went above and beyond after my smog check and helped me with a few other little quirks with my car. I have gone to this place for quite a few years as we have quite a few cars. He is always professional, friendly, and goes above and beyond in service. He even cleaned my vent above my hood where the leaves tend to accumulate. He also noted the date of the registration on the form and let me know that today was the day that I needed to register.
