This place is my heaven. The decor is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the food is amazing. The breakfast sandwich is outrageously delicious - more creative than your typical bacon/egg/cheese, but not so out there that a more timid palate wouldn't enjoy it. Citrus mayo for the win! The bacon is also so perfect, and the eggs always have a beautiful runny yolk. Their chocolate chip cookie has orange zest in it, and honestly it's one of the best cookies I've ever tasted. The bird turd, while a wonderfully childish thing to order, is also wonderfully delicious, and a fun little treat. The menu is limited but interesting, and there are always seasonal options and specials available. The interior is cozy and welcoming, and the design touches are just awesome. Look forward to eating here every time we're at the Cape. It's a very casual spot - not so good if you want to linger - with a very small, eclectic menu of amazing bites! Fresh, local, creative ... on the healthy side ... unusual for a Cape eatery. Love their messy breakfast sandwich with a runny local egg and smoky slab bacon and greens on grilled ciabatta bread. Griddled smoked mozzarella is another must. Today had to sample their "beets and cream" - the prettiest beet salad ever and as yummy as could be! Poured over coffee is fabulous - just be patient. At other times, I have really enjoyed their grilled vegetable sandwich. Dying to try their Porchetta sandwich but have never been there when it's been available. Prices are reasonable, portions are not huge, which makes it easy to get several little sides put a nice little personal buffet together! Will be back soon! read more

A little too hipster for my taste. Food was decent, came out quickly. Staff wasn't exactly helpful. Wouldn't say I felt particularly welcome. The food is absolutely amazing! I came her for brunch and I had their breakfast sandwich and Mexican chocolate donut. The sandwich was huge and filling! I wasn't the biggest fan of the donut. The texture was a little bit off for me. My friend had their burger with fried potatoes. Also incredible delicious. I would give it five stars, but the wait for food was a bit too much. We came here at 10 am for Sunday brunch. We expected to wait a while for food. We waited up to 45 minutes for our food to come! The people there are incredibly kind and apologized for the wait to people. They are also a little inconsistent as to how they hand out the numbers for tables. My friend and I both had separate take out orders but the cashier only gave a number to her. That allowed the person running around giving take out orders an easier time to find her, instead of yelling names in a fairly loud cafe. Overall, I will definitely come back here again if I go to the cape, but come much earlier or towards the end of brunch. read more

I've been coming to this place since it was a food truck and it's consistently really good. For coffee and tea it's one of the best around, the pastries are killer, and the breakfast/lunch options are all really good and fairly healthy. I'm a big fan, my only complaint is it keeps getting more and more crowded every year as people find out about it! read more

Has the hipster vibe you'd expect from Williamsburg/ San Fran and the clientele follows suit. I had their burger with sun dried tomatoes etc and it was very good and exceeded expectations. However, the price of the menu would keep me from being a regular as I believe better value can be found elsewhere. This was one of the best meals I've had in my life. The scallop ceviche was crazy good. But the burger was to die for. Very exclusive feel that made me feel like I was experiencing something very special. All the ingredients to my knowledge are locally sourced from nearby farms which you can really taste the difference. The espresso brownie with the coke float did it for me. Came in for a weekday lunch and everything was just ok, I'm more than used to Cape prices but even this was a bit extreme for what we got. I had 3 eggs, bacon, and pickled veg, wife had a salad with egg + bacon and a tea, and it was north of $30 and we both left hungry. Limited seating was tough too - overall the place is fine but there are far better options on the Cape (Hangar B...) and I don't think I'll be back. I was visiting from the West Coast and thought we had good breakfast cafes there. I have never had a better breakfast. The food is not only some of the tastiest food I have ever had, it's as organic/local as possible. The coffee was great too with excellent customer service. I had fresh farm fried eggs, a side of awesome thick bacon, amazing griddled mozzerella, and the wild bore sausage. the wild bore sausage is out of this world. The citrus mayo that I got on the side was amazing. Everything comes with fresh greens that taste almost sweet. I hope to go to Sunbird whenever I am near the Cape. It's worth every penny and not expensive at all. If you go here you will not be disappointed. My friend bought some of their baked goods too. They looked so amazing and fresh. Their scones have the best texture too. Go there and you will have a new obsession ;-) read more

the food was extremely yummy. Counter help, not very inspired. I felt as if I was made to feel stupid, asking stupid questions. when a place is new, questions might be expected. We had heard glowing reviews of the Sunbird cafe and food truck from friends so we decided to take a drive down 6a for the afternoon and get lunch. Wicked cute and relaxing atmosphere. The type of place that if you lived close by you would visit frequently. We split the burger, and shared the mint Oreo cookie dessert with two downeast cider cans. We also got 2 bird turds but we haven't tried them yet- so I won't review them :) The burger was delicious with dill pickles and pickled red onion. The temp was a bit rare for me (I never requested well done though so entirely my fault and my moms for putting the fear into me about the possibilities of ecoli) however- very delicious! We were so infatuated with the pickles that we requested more. We had the last one of the small batch creation but the chef sent out some pickled beets for us to try and came out to ask about them. The dessert was crumbly and the filling really really good Would love to visit again in the near future! read more
