Came here for the first time as our original dessert plans fell thru for the evening. At first by the colorful decorations and vibe I was worried the appearance was more than their flavors. This was not the case, it's a vibey dessert spot with fantastic options from ice cream, milkshakes, and donuts. The girl who served me was beyond patient and helpful as I was definitely overwhelmed from a Long Beach day and the bright colors inside, LOL. Specialty donut shop with some fun varieties. Staff were friendly and the place was pretty empty so service was quick. The shop itself is super fun with all rainbow colors, lights, and tie dye merch for sale. We got the glazed, Nutella, jelly, and apple fritter donuts. The Nutella was outstanding and the glazed was good but to be honest the apple fritter was only okay. My husband was not particularly impressed with the jelly donut. I have to start off by saying the donuts here are DELICIOUS and definitely worth it! The service is also great. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 star review is because they run out of donuts and desserts frequently, limiting your options. I have never made it to Sundae during the morning hours, when I assume they're fully stocked with a house full of patrons? My very first experience happened after I was very dissatisfied with my dinner that I had at a restaurant down the street. I barely ate and was moseying around Main Street and happened to see that Sundae was still open. My options were limited but I was lucky enough to try their Nutella donut, and it was amazing! After that experience, I have only been back a few times in the afternoon and later in the day. During these times my options were limited and they were very slow with little to no other customers. On a couple of occasions I walked in and right out just because I didn't see anything I wanted. Had there been more options I'm sure I would've bought something to satisfy my sweet tooth! read more

This place is kind of hidden in what looks like the basement under MTK lobster house. It looks like your normal donut shop but due to covid we couldn't walk in. One thing that was kind of offputting was there were bees in the donut cases. I know in montauk there are a lot of bees everywhere but that was not appetizing. Nevertheless I tried the apple fritter, oreo donut, and glazed. The overall theme was that they didnt taste fresh. I hate to be mean but I like the apple fritter at Wawa rather than here. There wasn't really anything special about these other than the interesting combination of toppings. I didnt understand the hype on this place. Seemed very average to me. One thing that wasn't average was the prices though so not sure I would go back. The product wasn't worth it. read more

Never ever again. I had three kids with me and two adults. I spent a significant amount of money. As i went to grab my edible cookie dough scoops, another customer was behind me and I accidentally dropped it. No big deal right? Wrong! The girl at the front says "sorry you'll have to pay for another one!!" I just paid for the one that accidentally fell and because of an accident I have to pay double?? Even the customer behind me was like "it's an accident". As I storm out, she says in this passive aggressive voice, so will you be paying for another one? Good food will not make up for bad customer service. Update-it gets better My HB goes in to speak with a manager. One of the girls tries to say that I dropped it outside. So he gets a manager who then has to look at the video to validate. I can't make this up. And clearly on the video you can see it was an accident. The manager says we can't possibly reimburse everyone who says they dropped something. My HB says you have a video and can see it's an accident. Mind you, i was never blaming anyone but myself. Nor did I ever say it was their fault. So after 10 minutes and multiple arguments, I got my 3$ scoop back and they lost a customer and hopefully many others. Was it worth it? read more

Loved the tie die cookie monster ice cream sandwich (so fun!) and love the cinnamon toast crunch doughnut! They have packages for DIY as well which could be fun for parties or events. ventured out to montauk this weekend and had to try sundae donuts!! this spot is ADORABLE! if you're looking for the perfect photo op, this place has it!! when you first walk up, it is covered in multicolored hearts and it looks so cool! right now due to covid, the store front is just walk-up, but the inside from what i could see is set up very nice!! there were SO many awesome options for donuts! it was $23 for a half dozen - a little pricy but hey, when in montauk! the donuts are a good size! not too small and PLENTY on top so i feel that they are worth the price. donuts are fluffy and tasty, and so far all the ones i've tried are yummy! definitely a cute spot for a fun dessert!! read more

This place missed the mark for me. They have so much potential, but the quality and pricing structure isn't there. They have a lot of fun offerings (specialty donuts, cookie dough, fun ice cream flavors, etc.), but when I went to order I asked if they could do ice cream + cookie dough and they said no. Fine. I settled for just ice cream. My boyfriend wanted a specialty donut with ice cream. Again they couldn't accommodate. Only plain donuts with specialty ice cream or plain (chocolate or vanilla) ice cream, with specialty donuts. All the shop would need to do is program these options into their POS and they could provide a much better customer experience while making a higher profit by upselling us on their specialized products. Honestly a no brainer, but unfortunately a bad customer experience. Also the ice cream was some the worst quality I've had in years.
