Went there because it's right across our hotel. I'm giving it two stars because our waitress gave us great service and the outside seating had a nice view. When we got there the place was half empty and it still took us 45 minutes to get our food. I got the fish tacos which were $13 and there's basically no fish (check the picture). My husband got the fish and chips for $15 and the fish portion was way more reasonable. The chips were good but the fish was very bland. I also didn't like how drink prices weren't on the menu and our waitress had to go back and forth to find out. Alcohol is expensive and I would rather you be upfront about the prices. read more

Placed an order of Buffalo Wings. When I bit into them, they were only warm, as you got closer to the bone, they got colder. At the bone it was like it just came out of a refrigerator. The chicken was cooked, but obviously had been stored in a cooler then an attempt made to reheat them. The skin was rubbery, not the crispy deep fried texture advertised on the menu. The sauce was soupy and only mildly hot. Amoung the worst wings I ever had. Very disappointed as the wings here use to be good. read more

Very casual atmosphere with a deck overlooking Bass River. On a Saturday in the fall they had a pretty good crowd for the off season and a band playing covers. The fried pickles here are great. They are cut like french fries instead of chips, which is unusual. They have a lot of frozen drinks on their menu. The Electric Lemonade is like getting a bomb pop from the ice cream man at the beach. It comes out red, white, and blue. It's sweet, but not too sweet. Definitely worth having one of them. read more

I've went on a Birthday Weekend to Cape Cod and decided to stop by this restaurant. Never in my life have I ever feel so hurt, me and my husband was the only Asians at the bar sitting down. The bartender didn't even acknowledge us after sitting down for 20 minutes, instead she went to serve the white couple that had just sat down next to us. Laughing and giggling with them. She finally asked us what we wanted and didn't say a word to us. People around us noticed it, she seems very prejudice and I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN!! When we was ready to pay she asked us cash or card??? Why didn't you ask everyon??? Why ask us ??? So we said cash and didn't even tip her not even a penny. read more

Went here on a whim, not expecting much considering the reviews. Usually I find Yelp to be pretty accurate but confused by this rating. No bouncer. Drinks (on tap) were clean. Asked for something local and she poured a blonde from Devils Purse. Ordered the fish and chips, and it was excellent. Bartender(s) were swamped, but prompt, nice and worked hard. Checked out this place just cause it was in the cape cod guide, and it was raining. When we got there the hostess was very nice she said with the rain all reservation had to be moved inside which caused a bit of chaos. She was very nice told us to take a seat along the window while she did a quick sweep just to see if there were any families wrapping up. We waited about 15/20 mins and were seated. I thought this was great considering we had no reservation and because of rain everyone had to come inside. I had the baked scrod which I loved and my hubby had the lobster roll the bread wasn't buttered or toasted so a little disappointed with that. There was some live reggae music which I really enjoyed. 3 stars only because of our waiter. 4 people in our party and we all ordered mixed drinks that we're amazing the only issue was that the tito's soda was flat. I asked for it to be remade and the female bartender was very nice and made it on a different gun and it was great. We ordered another and she obviously didn't communicate to our male waitor that the gun he was using had flat soda. I went back up to the female bartender and she told me i was not allowed to order that drink any longer. I told her when she made it my party member loved it that it was just the gun. I stressed the fact that it was just flat nothing else was wrong. She again refused to remake my drink. She told me she wouldn't help me that my waitor would be sent over. She then yelled at our waitor and pointed to our party in front of the whole establishment. Our waitor was amazing and i told him 3x that it was nothing he did it was just the gun. Will NEVER come back due to this bartender. Treated me like my party member did something wrong because she didn't communicate to her coworker. read more

Visiting some friends in dennis over Memorial Day weekend and Sundancer's was suggested as a place for dinner. Great views and awesome live music! For some reason they have a bouncer outside and gave me and my friends a hard time about giving our ID's to be let into the restaurant, even after saying we are underage. I definitely don't recommend the fish tacos, they were just fish sticks placed on top of damp pita bread. The chicken sandwiches looked/tasted great along with the clam chowder. We came to the Sundancer seeing as it was right across the street from where we were staying. We entered and told the hostess we were a group of 7 people and we would like to be seated outside. She told us it would be a 30 minute wait to be seated outside but she could seat us inside instead. We told her we would wait the 30 minutes to be seated outside so she took down our number and told us she'd call us when our seats were ready. Now let me tell you, we waited for above 30 minutes and saw a bigger group that came after us be seated before us!!! We addressed this issue with the hostess and she had the biggest attitude ever. We then told her that to make it easier she could seat us at two separate tables. She continued to have an attitude and told us "it isn't allowed"... after telling her that's what we wanted she finally agreed. & I quote, she said "Fine, here! 1 table here, 1 table there, separate *continuous eye rolls*" And she continued to roll her eyes as she walked away. It's hard to disappoint me when it comes to food and drinks. I am literally typing this review in the parking lot while my family takes care of the bill because that's how disappointed and upset I am over my FIRST VISIT HERE. We stopped by for dinner after a long day of yard work for a quick bite to eat and a drink before heading back to the city for the week. First issue: it took us over 10 minutes to be seated because there was simply no one to be found. I understand if you're busy. Walk up and say that and come back in a minute. Nope, nothing until the bartender flagged someone down for us. Second issue: Once seated, it was another 10 minutes for our waitress to come by and take our order for drinks and food. Fine, whatever. Third issue: It took her 20 minutes to bring our drinks out and I can guarantee you there was no booze in either of them. I ordered the "voodoo juice" and my boyfriend ordered the "Jaimaican Vacation" -- both are drinks we order regularly at other establishments. We know the recipes and know exactly how it should taste. They were all juice. Once again, our waitress was nowhere to be found. We only had the opportunity to tell her once she brought out our food. Upon telling her that she doesn't offer to have it remade, but she offers to grab a shot for us to put into it. The shot comes to our table by her after we had already finished eating and were ready to settle up. ***worth noting that the shot she brought was Malibu rum and wasn't even the right rum for my drink. She should have brought the Mt. Gay for my drink and the Malibu for his. Fourth issue: I ordered a baked scallop roll with coleslaw, and my boyfriend ordered a lobster roll with fries and a side of coleslaw. They gave fries on both plates and a side of coleslaw for us to share I guess? Waitress left before I could say it wasn't what I ordered. Whatever. I ate the sandwich and left the fries on my plate and let my boyfriend have the side of coleslaw. Fifth issue: the cover band was great, but the PA system was awful. The highs are turned up way too high on their EQ and it was causing clipping on the speakers in the back of the restaurant. At this point I was just over it and ready to start the hour and a half drive home with the rest of the family. We spent almost an hour and a half waiting on a drink and some quick fry seafood. Absolutely ridiculous. I'd rather grab mcdonalds on the way out next time than go here again. Both would be equally disappointing. read more

We go to Cape cod yearly and never had eaten here. Couldn't remember why, till after I read the reviews after we ate there. I had the boiled lobster that came veggies and your choice of side. I picked double veggies. Hubby had fish and chips. My Lobster had a lot of poop in it and the butter that I dipped it in, tasted off. Finished the meal And walked out and said to hubby that we won't go there again. 15 minutes later I'm Crunched over in agony in the bathroom as my Stomach is in knots. It def was the lunch I had just eaten. Once my episodes of agony was Over, I felt better. Never again. Word of advice, stay away. Don't even think about going cause they have a nice coupon, can't use it since most of their regular menu is on the blackboard "special" menu. Here last week. Had apps & drinks. Food & service by Reese was great! Not impressed with service of food this week (except for fish taco app- delish!)! If it weren't for the view I would have only given 1 star. Ordered the lobster roll. Lobster tasted like it was previously frozen that was placed on stale roll non grilled roll. My friend's Cobb salad was on limp, soggy iceberg lettuce & no avocado. At first told they ran out of eggs then suddenly they had chilled eggs! I went with my parents and we got calamari as an app, and you could tell it was homemade: the batter was light, and the quality of the calamari was fresh. We stopped in for a drink after reading the positive reviews as I was staying down the street on route 28. It was a Saturday night and they had a cover band that was really good. They stopped serving food at 9:30 so we just ordered drinks at the bars the signature pink lemonade drink is a must try! There was an outdoor patio with views of the river. I noticed the crowd Ida mixture of 20s to 50s and bachelorette party with a group of girls dancing. The place is tucked away in the back of route 28 but worth a drive if you're looking for a place to go out near Yarmouth and Dennis. Nice casual atmosphere and friendly attentive staff! read more

Great place to pull up to in your boat. They have a dock with a few public parking spots. When I say a few I mean 3 at the most, 2 or even 1 if some rich guy doesn't know how to dock a boat. Food is good, if they have lobster bisque you NEED to try it. It's a special so it's not always available. Decent place to watch a game or take in the scenery. Scenery is why I go here. On one side of the bar you have meat heads that look like they belong in jersey. On the other side of the bar are all the cougars out on the prowl. It can make for a fun night. I'd never pay a cover here as the place is small and the band (if there is one) is right on top of the bar and nowhere else to hide except outside. Don't go here at night if you want to have a conversation. Go here to grind up on some cougars and watch the meat heads rip shots. read more

Fine, but nothing special. My family found this place, tucked back from the road, and remembered a few good reviews we'd read. The food was up and down -- good scrod, below average scallops (weird sauce), and mundane sides. The wait staff seemed rushed and not all that happy to be there, but maybe because we had a 2-year-old in tow? (She behaved well, for the record.) Plus, the decor could use some updating. When we got it there were hardly any fries on the plate and it was over cooked Waitress was nice and I requested our round of drinks be on the House and when we got the check, she had taken the drinks off.
