I purchased sunglasses from this location. Fortunately for me I already knew exactly what I wanted. The sales representative an older white lady, seemed completely uninterested in helping me. In fact I had my Prada glasses on me and I felt uncomfortable with her to the point where I had to show my case to prove I walked in with them. I ended up buying the glasses I wanted but they didn't work out. When I tried to return them the manager claimed that there was damage to the glasses. The glasses were Pristine and as they were sold to me. It seems like they try to reject returns so it doesn't come out of their commission. Do not waste your time or money at this store. read more

What an awful service, sale personals and manager at this location. We bought a Burberry sunglasses here and the lens fall out. I didn't wanted to put it back and scratch the lens so we took it back so they can fix it. They were all doing something and nobody acknowledged that were there waiting.... After a while the manager came out of the back and we asked him to help. He had hard time to fix it he had to use a special tool. The attitude he gave us is unacceptable. I understand we didn't buy anything and we were not their priority but still. We said thank you twice and he didn't say a word just turned the other way. Gilda, was so helpful, knowledgeable , and friendly. I appreciate her taking me under her wing, and patiently going over multiple sunglasses . I settled on n a pair and was on my way. Terrible service. Avoid this location if you value your time or expect basic customer service. I tried to return $560 sunglasses I was gifted -- and was given the runaround three days in a row. Day 1: Came in with a gift receipt -- staff refused the return or issue a store credit, said I needed the original receipt. Day 2: Came back with the original receipt -- now they said they can't process any refunds without a manager present -- and gave me no option to resolve it. They basically held my money hostage. Day 3: Came back again -- finally got a refund from the manager Terrance, but only after I had to give my full name and phone number just to get my money back. This wasn't customer service -- it was obstruction. Either the staff isn't trained or they're deliberately making returns as difficult as possible to discourage them. Either way, it's unacceptable for a company like Sunglass Hut. I will never shop at this location again. read more

I just felt they were cold and unwelcoming. They sent a second stringer, out to help me. Nice kid but he was unable to answer any of my questions. I believe the owner was behind the counter doing who knows what. When I asked my salesman a question, he would ask her because he didn't know, she was short with both of us, at least I could leave. There were three workers in the showroom and I was the only customer at the time. I drove to this store to buy a product they had in stock. I felt she threw cold water on me so I walked out. I can't get a refund either since there are no sunglasses. Sunglass Hut online and the stores are independent operators and don't work cohesively either so they're no help as well. Worst place to buy sunglasses! Stay away from this business, I bought a new pair of Versace sunglasses for $370 and my wife didn't like then. Next day we.went to return them and they said it had a slight scratch on them! I first went to this store to have my lenses replaced, and had such wonderful service from Jace, that it is now my go-to store for all sunglasses needs. I appreciated the welcome, attention to detail and fabulous customer service. I was delighted to learn some months back that he was promoted (well EARNED), and found another new pair this week. Both he and his colleague gave me input on the selections I tried on, and they made the entire transaction - again - the best you can imagine. She was so rude and yelled at me multiple times and called me a liar because I had a coupon from a family member that works at a sunglasses hut. I've had two good experiences at this location in the past month and felt a review was in order. I haven't purchased sunglasses from a Sunglass Hut in years until just recently, after my VSP vision insurance changed a bit and no longer offers discounts through my optometrist. The staff here have been very helpful and most recently when I hit their store right at 9P as they were closing and asked them to let me in to tighten a screw they were happy to. It's the little things like this and giving me a new case when another was completely worn out that go a long way. I'd definitely recommend checking out their eyewear. They had what I was looking for, and the staff are friendly and helpful. read more

My girlfriend and I just left the Sunglasses Hut at the Sherman Oaks, Fashion Square Westfield mall. As we walked in the young, short sales associate, who was deeply engrossed in a personal conversation speaking Armenian, never bothered to get off of her phone to welcome us to the store. She never asked us if we needed any help. The young woman was speaking Armenian on the phone. Not that the language of her conversation mattered, but the fact she assumed that we didn't know what was she saying definitely allowed her to continue to ignore us. As we walked into the store, the young woman seemed to walk away from us toward the opposite side of the store, so we would be less likely to ask for assistance. As we left the store, the sales girl was standing near the main entrance/exit and never bothered to even thank us for coming in. We were totally ignored with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

Hi, unfortunately I had extremely bad experience at Sunglass Hut (that is located in Macy's Westfield at Sherman Oaks, CA). This was my first and definitely the last purchase there. From the very beginning on Black Friday the sales assistant spent one hour ordering sunglasses for me (the most classy model - Gold/Green Aviators in XL size), but at least he was friendly. Though when I picked up the glasses at store and checked there at once, I found out that temple tips were white and not clear transparent as they originally should be. I was told that they were ordered like this, customized. Though I NEVER asked for any customization, and moreover to have white tips at gold/green aviators (nonsense!). I asked to change those sunglasses at once, but was told by sales assistants that they couldnot do it without paper receipt, even though I showed them electronic receipt. They also could not find my order in the system without the paper receipt, even though they had my profile saved, with my phone number at the order, and exact date. Okay, I searched for the receipt at home, and came back in a week. I came with sunglasses, paper receipt, waited in line and was pretty sure that exchange will take max 5 min. If I only knew... the sales assistant Janice spent 10-15 minutes just exploring my order and the ways how she can make a return. In a while she told me that she had to make a full refund on my previous purchase, and after that to make a new order for respective sunglasses. Of course I agreed. We proceeded with refund on my first purchase. And then the fun began. She started the new order for Green/Gold aviators in 62 mm, but at the finale they turned to be different price because they were polarized. I told that I don't want polarized glasses and may I please have the model that I ordered from the very beginning, regular classic one. In response I was told that it is not available in this size, and non polarized aviators in green/gold are available only up to 58 mm, and not 62. That was already half an hour of me trying to make an exchange. I was told that it is not possible at all, because they don't have what I want in their system. So I went to Sunglass Hut website and found the model that I was looking for in less than a minute, I showed it to Janice and she said it's not what is in her system so she cannot do anything. I asked her to check again because if they represent Sunglass Hut the information should match, moreover I buy these sunglasses for 10 years already and there have never been issues before. Still she was saying that cannot help me. She said that she can either proceed with purchase of polarized 62 mm model, or order non polarized 58mm model, or just void my return so that I keep the first sunglasses. Neither of those worked for me, so I asked to call the manager if she could not figure out how to proceed with this simple transaction after I already showed her the available model at their web site. She talked with manager again for another 20 minutes, with my phone in her hands. After all - Eureka! - together they found the system number of this model and respectively the way to order it. I was totally stressed out by that moment, moreover that she has never even apologized for such a long wait, instead of that she was kind of sarcastic, smiling, and saying that I just had a bad day and it's my fault that I did not show the correct number at once, and it's not her job to look for it. Just wondering why should I provide any numbers to sales assistants and explain how to find the items in their system? I asked Janice to connect me with her manager, but she said that manager isn't available. I told that I heard on my own how she was talking with manager just few minutes before, so please put her on the call. Smiling like she doesn't care at all, Janice called the manager and gave me the phone, I explained the situation, how I waisted more than an hour of my time, being in the store with my sick mom and 6y.o.daughter, while I had to go back home to my youngest 1y.o.daughter, instead of proving my rights to get the item that I ordered a while ago... The manager apologized, saying that she also did not know how to find this model in their system and offered me $20.0 discount for the inconvinience, it's not worth it, but still. The sales assistant Janice disregarded instructions of her manager and proceeded with transaction without mentioned discount. I asked her why she did not include it, after that she added discount of $0.20 and told me to insert the card. When I asked her whether she was kidding, she just laughed and changed it for $20.0. All the way she was extremely rude and disrespecting. Never in my life I've experienced such an awful customer service. I always have high regards to Sunglass hut stores until today. I got a pir of sunglasses and i asked for a new stock. Got home With my new pair and i noticed that there was a scratch inside one lense and rhe right arm had some residue from the display sticker. They sold me a display item. I have been a loyal customer for years getting all my eyewear from sherman oaks SGH never had to used the hassle free warranty today I come in with my wife's MK sunglasses which I purchase with a Macy's card. A couple of months ago came in with a simple exchange and before she believed we were purchasing another pair greatest service ever but as soon as I said we would like a exchange for a identical pair she flips from customer service personality to the head of loss prevention treating us like crooks right away says " can't do it " can't look it up with out your wife here I replied how come she did not to be here when I made the purchases or make the payments. I asked for a corporate number she replied oh we don't have one but I can give you my bosses number I replied I would like corporate number then she suddenly turned into miss customer service 2014again she wasn't wearing a name badge but she looked Asian a lil on the heavy side not trying to be mean but if she would have been professional and would wear a name badge I wouldn't have to describe her, by this time I'm googling sgh customer service heaven behold I found a corporate number I tried calling but it's 8pm so they were closed so I decided to open a yelp account if you look up statisticly like 5% of dissatisfied customers actually complaint I wonder what the percentage it would be for someone so embarrassed and humiliated that he will complain and create a yelp account ???????????? The sales rep in this store refused to accept my pair of Gucci's because she said "the color on the frame is faded." I had just purchased them new from the Camarillo store less than 18hrs earlier... Her suggestion was that I drive back to the Camarillo store (40mi away) to do the return because she flat out refused to help me. I enjoy the attention to detail and the level of customer service at this location. The employees are friendly and helpful and honest about what sunglasses fit you and what doesn't. They will take their time and work with you to find the right fit and if you need any adjustments done, they will take their time with that as well. The 90 day return policy is also quite a benefit with shopping at Sunglass Hut. I definitely recommend this location if you're in the market for some new shades. read more

I have been to other Sunglass Hut locations had purchased a pair of glasses for my son In the Northridge Mall. When I look at all of the other Yelp reviews for this location, all one stars!!! When you see that it spells trouble!!! Something is not right, and it all starts at the top like in any business! From corporate, all the way down the ladder. Keeping it as always in proper prospective, this location needs mangement to take the helm, tell the girls to smile, welcome to the Sunglass Hut, a little personality goes along way! In training this must be taught, how to interact with the customers, there also in need of many more male sales associates, not just all young females, and many who look like they dont like what there doing!! We have all been in many various types of establishments, where the employees look like they really dont like what there doing! In that case follow the customer out the door, and get on with it to another field! In retail sales your as good as your sales staff, thats what changes the numbers, the right hires!!! When you walk into any retail busines you dont want to get the feeling like your walking into a wake! Could I give less than one star? Purchased a pair of semi expensive (for a kid) sunglasses for my son a week ago in another branch. He didn't want to wear them, so I brought them back to this location. Their stated policy says full refund within 90 days. Upon a close inspection, the clerk tells me that there are three minuscule scratches, so they can't take them back, but can give me half the value. How could it be our fault if he only tried them on in the house once? Would never buy there again, and would advise the same of you. read more

Do not buy anything from SH ONLINE; they do have a good 90-day return policy but actually executing it is painful. My first attempt was fruitless when I went in-store because they didn't have my item in stock. The person never offered to try and find them at another location and told me because I purchased them online I had to call customer service. I emailed customer service and got NO response. So I finalyl called customer service and now my options are: a) print the UPS label, take the sunglasses to a UPS store and wait for the return. Estimated time = two weeks. b) go into the store (again), ask them to search for the item in another location, order a transfer and ... go back in (again) to exchange. Estimated time = unknown. (I do all the work.) Super disappointed in purchasing a pair of Tiffany sunglasses from a reputable retailer and getting poor return options. The people on the phone were great, but the Company's policies are lackluster. What would have easily made this process seamless would be if ANY of the Company's reps I spoke with were able to a) locate the glasses at another store, b) transfer them to a store close to me and c) notify me when they're ready to go in and exchange. #Fail read more

I purchased a pair of sunglasses for my husband at the Westside Pavillion store. The salesgirl was very enthusiastic and doing a lot of hard up-selling. She recommended the polarized version of the sunglasses I was buying, so I paid the extra $50 for them. When she wouldn't take "no thank you" for an answer to the cleaning solution and towel, it became a bit uncomfortable and awkward. After wearing the glasses for a day, my husband decided he didn't like the polarized lenses and wanted to exchange them. We went to the Sherman Oaks store (closer to home) and they did not have them in stock. We checked the Sunglass Hut display at Macy's in the same mall and purchased them there. The salesgirl was professional and kind and explained that she could not process the return from a free-standing Sunglass Hut because her register is on the Macy's tender. Understandable, and our receipt did state "Macy's". We went directly back to the Sunglass Hut in the same mall to return the original pair and the salesman said he couldn't do a return because the store I originally purchased from had a new computer system that wasn't compatible with his. I'd have to drive back to that store. He argued that Macy's should have done the return. Well, so much for the "hassle free" return policy SGH advertises. The next day I drove 25 miles out of my way to the Westside Pavillion to complete the return. The salesgirl who sold me the original glasses looked at the receipt and said she didn't think she could process it. WHAT? I pointed out that she was the point of sale and asked her to try. She struggled through the transaction and had to try a couple of times while mentioning how confusing the computer system was. I returned the glass and received a receipt showing a refund to my credit card. Phew, it was finally done! Nope. A couple of weeks passed and there was still no credit to my account. I contacted SGH corporate and opened an inquiry. I was told I'd get an update in 24 hours. That didn't happen, so I called again. I was told that the corporate office was waiting for the retail store to send them the return receipt. Clearly something is wrong with this process. A few days later I called again. The billing department now had the receipt but they were unable to process the return because they couldn't figure out how to do navigate the new computer system. I asked when I could expect a credit and was told "I don't know". I was promised a call back in 3 days, and that never came. Finally, I disputed it through my credit card company. This company is fine if you have a simple purchase and don't need a return. Strangely, all the computers were working fine for accepting purchases. This company is an absolute failure when it comes to customer service. They don't properly train their retail staff, they don't have a functional infrastructure and they can't even follow-through with customer service issues. They are more than happy to make a sale and anything required beyond that is the customer's problem. I strongly advise avoiding this company. read more

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had in Macy's. I went to return $80 dollar sunglasses for my brother. I had the receipt and everything. The "manager" whose name is Vincent, came off VERY rude from the beginning, making weird faces at me and questioning me in a suspicious demeanor if my brother had bought them for me... WHICH WOULD BE NONE OF HIS BUSINESS! Anyhow, he continued to accuse me for fraud, insinuating that I stole the sunglasses and somehow got a hold of the receipt. Mind you, my brother and I have the same last name, I provided him with a receipt, AND I even got my brother to send me a picture of his license. After all this, he had the AUDACITY to proceed accusing me of acting in a fraudulent manner. I mean, are you kidding me? Do you think I would go out of my way and risk my future for a pair of $80 dollar sunglasses? EIGHTY DOLLARS? Do you think I would commit fraud for 8. 0. dollars? He even insinuated that my receipt was fake. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, he was smirking at me and making weird faces, just acting all around as rude as possible. When I asked to speak to his superior, he suggested that there was no one above him and I was basically stuck with him. I want VINCENT to get fired. The reason I give a 4 star and not 5 is only because of their prices. I love coming here to buy sunglasses because they have a great variety of different styles and also all the new styles. The sales people here are friendly and helpful. The one thing that makes me think twice before coming is their prices. Several times I was able to find the same glasses for a little less somewhere else. But if you can work out a discount then your good. Like coming here for up to date style sunglasses. read more

I needed to return a pair of sunglasses I purchased at a different Sunglass Hut and this store is right down the street from my work so I went during my lunch hour. Upon arrival I was greeted in a very friendly manner but the moment I informed them I needed to return something the employee's demeanor completely changed and told me to "go return them to the location I purchased them in", then she told me their "system was down" and could not help me... Righhhtttt! I saw them using their system to ring people up with purchases.. So I call BS about their "system being down" !! I hate returning things and was only returning the unused sunglasses I bought because I found my old ones the day after!! Throughout the years I've bought numerous sunglasses from them for myself and others as gifts for my family and never had to return one!!
