Poor customer service! I ordered two dozens of donuts last time, they won't even give me one extra box.

I had to give this place 1 undeserved star in order to write a review. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The two Hispanic ladies working behind the counter this morning were not only slower than paraplegic snails but also treated customers as if they were a nuisance. "You need help?" -with an irritable tone and demeanor is how they addressed each person in line. TF? I ordered 2 glaze twists and paid with a $20 bill. I gave back the $5 bill I received as change and asked for singles to which the first girl hesitated and reluctantly turned towards the register, obviously annoyed that I had requested such a huge accomodation. The two women had a short exchange in Spanish and the older lady (the one with WAY TOO MUCH make up) waved her hand in the air and said they had no more $1's. Really? Everybody's been paying with cash all morning and all of a sudden there's no more ones? BS. The decent thing to do would be to tell me they are either low on ones or simply cannot break my $5. Blatantly lying to customers when it's in plain view that they are lying is customer service suicide. I've been to this establishment before and never had a bad experience with service. What happened to the old employees? Don't these people understand that it doesn't cost ANYTHING to be polite? Customer service is the biggest, most cost effective aspect a business can implement since it costs NOTHING and can mean EVERYTHING in customer experience. Until this establishment replaces these 2 inconsiderate poor excuses for "ladies" I will withhold my business and drive across town to Norco for my donuts. On a side note, I was so thrilled with my experience at this donut shop that when I went home (to which we were holding a yard sale), I happily told my family who was over (who also live throughout Eastvale), along with the yard sale patrons of my experience. I work in customer service myself and understand that 9 out of 10 disgruntled customers will never say a word to the business. It is my goal then to let as many people know what a SHIT HOLE this place is. read more

They always have hot ham & cheese! This place has improved, Hot Ham & Cheese is always available. The only thing keeping this place from a 5 star is the service. I have been to donut shops in some very strange places and have been greeted with a smile. The lady that works here most often has never cracked one....? I've been to this donut shop perhaps 5 times over the years. Maybe one of those times there was a sufficient selection of donuts. Usually there are only about 4 varieties available, the ones that nobody really wants... I don't typically go to donut shops often, maybe once every six months or so. I think the real reason I have returned to this particular joint is simply proximity. Another annoyance aside from lack of donuts is that they quit selling lotto at some weird cut-off time for no apparent reason... Turn your freaking lotto signs off if you aren't selling tickets please! Oh, and one last thing, they charge you a 5% fee to use your credit or debit card - not only is it annoying as hell in this day and age, it is a violation of merchant service terms to collect such fees per MasterCard and VISA. Hey Sunny Donut, if you are really losing money by accepting a variety of payments then just stop taking them (yeah thats not going happen really is it? because you are making money on those forms of payment and guess what, you are also making profit on your violation of merchant terms and services fees), what a joke. It probably costs less than half per swipe for the fees they are charged. To all the business owners who happen to squeeze extra fees for this and that - nickel and diming customers always makes you seem stingy, and money hungry, and makes customers focus on all the ways you like to save money, like not making enough donuts to sell, or charging bogus fees, tactics such as these usually backfire. There is a cost of doing business. Look at the photos for this business, you will never see a selection of donuts as is depicted in those photos unless you are there within an hour of opening. I've been coming here for donuts for nearly 6 years now. Their donuts are very consistent in flavor and quality. They aren't the tastiest donuts, but at least I know what I'll get. I recommend the twists because they tend to be softer and have a better texture than the round donuts. I'll be coming here for years and years... this is my regular shop! read more

Went today at about 3:30 pm. We walked in and the cashier/employee was sitting at a table talking to a guy. She didn't say hi or nothing. We are standing at the counter already waiting and she's STILL sitting down. My aunt looked back at her then she decides to get up. Still didn't say hi or anything. Her attitude was HORRIBLE. Never going back there nor will I recommend. It's not hard to greet customers. If you don't like customer service, then don't do the job. read more

I've been coming here for five years. I love mere blocks from here. In last 10 attempts I joke, does not have a simple glazed buttermilk donut. I know it seems petty. But I just can't understand why no matter what day, early morning, Saturday or Tuesday, they are always out of this. You'd think by now they figure out how to forecast and make enough of this. The donuts are alright nothing to brag about. I have come in three times trying to buy a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant and both times were out. Recently i found myself in the area early in the morning around 6 am! Walked in and surprise fully stocked. I bought a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant and was very disappointed. The ham seemed dry and old. There was barely any cheese. The little that their was was nasty. The croissant itself was also very dry. So I won't be going back. Oh and you won't get any good customer service unless you're one of their regulars. read more

Quite possibly the most disgusting ham and cheese I've ever had. Even heated up, the cheese was not melted; it looked spoiled and coagulated. One bite and had to toss the rest. Beware, they charged me $13 for a half dozen donuts this morning. No receipt. I'm beginning to think this is standard procedure for this place. This place is literally 2 minutes away from my house. I used to like going to buy the double chocolate donuts (they are my favorite). In the last 4 months I have gone at least 6 times. EVERYTIME the double chocolate donuts I get have had blueberry dough in a small portion of the donut! Why would they do this? Are they being cheap and adding that as a "filler"? 2 out of the 6 times I have gone around 8am on a week day just to be told to come back later in the day because they didn't have donuts. They only had very few of some with sprinkles. This is a donut shop! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I think from now on I will drive a little more and try a new donut shop. As far the the donuts themselves, these are probably the tastiest donuts in the IE. Maple Cale, Maple Bar, Glazed, Crumb.... all fantastic! The staff is really nice too. A dozen donuts about $9.25 and a half dozen is is $4.75. A little pricey, but it's only slightly higher than other donut places. I'll pay .20 cents for a better tasting donut. The only thing I hate about this place is that they don't replenish their donut stock. When they're out, they're out. Fridays and the weekend are tough. Gotta get there early for the best donuts. If not, you're SOL. If you go any time after 12 noon, you're risking disappointment. If they got 'em, get 'em! Lastly, the ham and cheese croissants rule all! - Also, yes, they charge .50 cents for CC transactions under $10. It's a small business. They gotta pay CC fees. No big deal. Get over it. read more

Came in around 6pm on a Friday. Didn't have many donuts left so I opted for whatever was left, some bars and twist. Not sure if it's late in the day but the donuts had no flavor. I don't even know why I bought them, there were flys in the donut case. Sad to say I still tried them, I was craving donuts and I was on my period. Don't judge! I ordered a dozen donuts, 3 apple juice, and a large coke. One bite into a chocolate donut, it tasted stale so I took up to the counter and asked to exchange for a plain glazed donut. The girl rolled her eyes and then said something in Spanish to the other girl. She was so rude, I refused the donut and threw mine in the trash. Horrible place, horrible service and how in the hell do you run out of sprinkle donuts at 1030 in the morning. I've been there at least 7 times after 1030 am and they are always out of sprinkle donuts, but have numerous chocolate bars and glaze donuts. Ordered 5 dozen doughnuts a day before needed. Told them I needed them at 8AM. The next day I arrived at the shop 15 min before 8AM and the doughnuts were ready to go. Sadly, there just aren't that many donut places in/close to Eastvale. However, this place has always been my go-to donut place. My personal favorite donut are the sugar covered ones (the ones with granulated sugar) and so I always use that as my "bar" to rate how good a donut place is. At Sunny Donut, these are always pretty good and usually in stock (unless you get there super late in the day or something). If you get there early, you they are usually pretty fresh too. The parking lot in this area usually isn't too busy. The line here usually isn't too bad except at peak times, but even then it's not too bad. read more

Honestly, I come here for convenience. It's nearby and it's where I pick up my nieces doughnuts. If you come early in the morning be prepared to be in line for at least 30 minutes. The Hispanic lady that runs the counter moves quite slowly, I've seen many people leave because she's so uninterested to be there. If you go mid morning the two people that run the counter are much faster, however, there is less of a selection. It's kind of a hit or miss with this place. read more

This place is near my house..I love the ham/cheese croissants they have..also my favorite donut is the cream filled (chocolate on top) donut for 75 cents...always generous with the cream and tastes very good..Albertsons charges more for the same type of donut and it sucks.
