I first started coming here when I was a college student in my early 20s. Back then, I lived only about 5 or 10 minutes away, and my skin was honestly a mess. I had a lot of acne, whiteheads, blackheads, acne scars, basically everything. My skin was one of the things I was the most stressed and insecure about. Now, almost 10 years later, I don't really struggle with acne anymore. Of course skin changes with age, so now I come for completely different concerns. I usually do treatments like microneedling, Sylfirm, and other maintenance treatments. Lately I have also been stressing about aging, so they are still stuck with me lol. The biggest reason I continue to come here is that I actually feel cared for. I have tried a few places in LA because Fullerton is honestly far from me now, but the experiences were just not the same. Some places felt rushed, not very friendly, or like they were giving everyone the same recommendation. Here, they actually look closely at my skin and tells me what would be helpful for me specifically. I never feel like I am just another customer. And the staff really makes a difference. Alex at the front is always so sweet, patient, and helpful. Jenny and Sunah are both amazing and have taken care of my skin for years. I have known some of the staff since before COVID, and seeing the same people there for so many years makes me feel even more comfortable and trusting of the clinic. I work full time and live in LA, but I still drive over an hour to Fullerton for my appointments. Sometimes I complain about the drive while I'm doing it, but I keep going because I genuinely trust their skills and the way they treat people. I'm a teacher, and people still mistake me for a student pretty often. I know genetics and skincare at home matter too, but I honestly consider this clinic one of the biggest contributors to how my skin looks today. I'm very thankful to the doctor, Alex, Jenny, Sunah, and everyone else who has taken care of me over the years.

It also said I'm 92% oily but I was wearing beef tallow on my face after working all day to help my dry skin (that has been dry my whole life). Any well trained esthetician would be able to see that the scan was inaccurate. They also didn't ask any questions about current products or skin history to verify whether the scan was accurate or not. They based my treatment on the scan which may or may not be the cause of the issue I ended up with. Treatment: good treatment overall but nothing to compare it to since this was my first Korean facial. My skin had a nice glow afterward. The staff was nice so no complaints there. The products weren't clearly explained and I didn't receive any info about them which was another red flag. Post: 3 days after my treatment I developed dermatitis, as seen in pictures and determined by my dermatologist. It's unclear what caused the dermatitis. Post one week: skin has healed mostly with some redness still around my mouth. No scarring. The staff saw my original review and was very concerned and called me. I admit I should have contacted them first prior to the review. They talked to me at length and asked many questions and they did truly seem to care and want to make it right. They did say that they are tightening procedures and the makeup should have been cleaned off first and said they should have asked about current products. This is something they said they normally do but didn't that day. They had concern about the beef tallow but I didnt use any after the facial, just the products they recommended (and I purchased from them). I don't think that was the cause. They offered another facial (very gentle and healing) and my money back which I appreciate considering I paid $100 for a derm appointment and antibiotics. I haven't taken their offer yet but I do think they were genuinely surprised and caring during the process so I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3.

I reached Mirako Spa in Brea for my facial appointment exactly 3 mins late. A lady who told me that…read moremy appointment was at 2:30pm. (I have attached text messages that my appointment was at 2:45pm). Upon showing the text message, she agreed that I was late by 3 mins. (+ 5 mins grace period). I was informed right away that I need to reschedule as I was late or cut down my facial time from 60mins to 40 mins. I should have arrived 15 mins before the appointment time. Therefore, my showing up delayed by 3 mins would delay the next client by 15 mins as they needed time to prepare for the next client! Math doesn't add up any way we look at it unless they had informed in advance to show up 15 mins before the appointment time, which they hadn't. 1. There was absolutely no notification or instruction provided to me about arriving 15 mins early before the appointment time at the time of making my appointment or text reminder. Therefore if one is late by less than. 10 mins, they lose their facial time by 20mins and are lashed out if clients try to reason out. I was told me to depart as I was 3 mins late or reduce my facial time by 20 mins. 2. Jenny, who came over from inside took over the conversation, was very unprofessional and rude. She argued with me for 15 mins non-stop when I tried to reason out that if I was late by 3 mins, if they wanted to be a stickler of time without informing me to arrive 15 mins early, they should take away 3 mins of my time not, 20 mins. She yelled at me saying "I don't want you to come here ever, I never want to give you service!". I don't understand how Mirako Spa even employs such people who are clueless about how to treat clients with courtesy, let alone working in a service industry. Here is the twist: when I checked in, another lady besides Jenny told me that my appointment was at 2:30pm, which their mistake to begin with as my appointment was at 2:45pm. It appears that they messed up with their own scheduling but because I was 3 mins late for my 2:45 appt, I bore the brunt of Jenny's unprofessional behavior as she couldn't admit that they had accidentally messed up scheduling my appointment. Instead she told me to leave or get a facial cut down by 20mins! I am attaching screenshots of my appointment time. As per Jenny, I should have a common sense to show up 15 mins before appointment time even though I wasn't informed about arriving early or else, appt that was anyway scheduled incorrectly by 15 mins sooner, from what I was notified. Try to avoid Jenny if you go to Mirako Spa in Brea, she can be scathing, unreasonable, and unprofessional. Try to reach 15 mins prior to your appointment even if they don't notify you.

Honestly this place is so much worse than it looks (and it looks pretty awful). I went here after work to get a new set of acrylics, and I should have just gone home and not wasted the money (which is way overpriced). First impressions: tacky ambiance and rude employees. It wasn't even busy, yet no one acknowledged me until I rang the bell, despite there being 8 workers? There was a woman just sitting behind the desk on her phone that didn't even look in my direction. I speak up asking for a new set and am waved to have a seat. Even more irritating is that people who came in after me got their nails started before me. Then when they finally sit me down, they do a mediocre job. I've had fake nails numerous times and never have I been in more pain. The girl kept hitting my cuticles (which she didn't even clean up, fyi) with the drill so that by the end my nail bed was burning from cuts and burns. To add insult to injury, I wanted an oval tip but was advised that stiletto would make my fingers look "less short and wide." Incidentally, stiletto is about $5 more expensive than what I asked for. Overall a complete joke, so, if you want to avoid feeling frustrated, having ripped up nail beds, and crooked acrylics, just keep scrolling and find a nail salon worthy of your time and money (i.e. any of them). read more

I came in with a friend bc I wanted to try this new place out since the other nail place I went to my gel nails cracked I feel like I wasted my money. So I spoke to sonny and asked questions about the mani & pedi... He had Lee work with me. I didn't like the job she did on my feet and didn't give me a massage until my friend asked me how my massage was I'm like she didn't do one.. She just put the lotion and wiped it off with hot towel. Lee told me that she did do one but u were too busy talking to ur friend so u weren't paying attention. I told her that she didn't... Lee looked at my friend and said we have cameras and its recording it will show on the camera so my friend told her to pull up the videos... She barely put 2 costs on the blue nail polish I wanted so I didn't want her to do my nails.. I changed to sandy and she did fantastic job. I got gel mani #30 and I got a regular toe nails... My gel color is suppose to my my toenail color but once they put it on my toes I feel like it's way different from my gel color. Sonny told me that the people who sent the product color matched it to the gel color. WEIRD!!! I got a great leg massage and hand massage. Ask for sandy. read more

It was very easy to make an appointment online through their website where you could see which nail tech are available being that this was my first time here I just picked any and ended up getting Nia. The color selection was very good and a lot better than most salons in the area which tend to have the same colors. These were different from anything I've ever seen. I asked Nia for a short almond shape and just a regular color and it looks like exactly what I wanted without even specifying. I told her I have to type at work and without hesitation or pressure to get them a little longer she did exactly what I wanted. Còn lần này, thái độ phục vụ lại không được niềm nở cho lắm; tôi thấy những khách nữ khác đều được mời nước nên cảm thấy khá thắc mắc và có chút thất vọng--có lẽ lần tới tôi sẽ phải tìm một nơi khác để đến vậy. Aquella vez nos recibieron con mucha calidez y nos ofrecieron bebidas de cortesía; fue una experiencia muy agradable. Esta vez el trato no fue tan hospitalario; vi que a otras mujeres les ofrecieron una bebida, lo cual me desconcertó un poco. Fue algo decepcionante, así que tal vez tenga que buscar otro lugar a donde ir. La pedicura, eso sí, estuvo bien.

I've been here a total of 3 times so far and I think this deserves a review. I found this place…read morethrough Tiktok and IG. My communications for inspos and appt times were all via Instagram DM with Kimmy. My first set was in March, done by Tracy. She did an AMAZING job. I've wanted a cute, pink spring Miffy themed nails for my Japan trip and she delivered! She hand-drawn and hand-made the little 3d pieces for my nails. This set was still my favorite. Second set was done in April by Helen (who is a friend of Kimmy). She also did a 3d Miffy charm for my nails along with butter yellow French tips. Another beautiful set! I also got a pedi done by Kathy, a very sweet older Vietnamese lady. Third set was done earlier this June by Nancy. I also got a pedi by Kathy. I went for a different design for my nails with no 3d art. Nancy was great with the details on my request. I never had any issues with wait time since I book my appointments ahead of time.
