I have been going to this Salon for 4 years now and they have amazing service. I get my eyebrows waxed and my acrylics done here by a woman named Tina she is quite popular for her phenomenal work. She works fast but she always does a good job. Whenever I don't like something or if she makes a small mistake I quickly let her know and she fixes it immediately. Ugh this used to be my FAVORITE salon. I used to always get my acrylics done here. I just went back a week ago after I let my nails rest for a few months, and got a deluxe pedi and a full gel set. My nails have lifted like crazy and I have 2, about to fall off & barely hanging on. Most definitely disappointed in my fingers. Now for the pedicure, the girl doing my pedicure was literally scraping my feet to the point I almost kicked her in the face numerous times. She noticed that I wasn't comfortable too and say "sorry" and continue going that rough, if not more rough than she was. The point of me getting a pedicure, is to enjoy myself not be in pain. The service level has been declining over that period of time and last week I went in for a pedicure. It's a nice, clean salon but I feel like they're so invested in what it looks like but the attention to service doesn't get the same "upgrade" if you will. Anyway, went in for a standard pedi and it was just lazy to put it plainly. The tech didnt clean under the toenail AT ALL! She didnt push the cuticles back and then lazily trimmed my cuticles, and I had to point out to her to redo it because she had missed so much! I mean this is standard pedi service! I also asked for callus remover to which she barely scrubbed my soles, the polish job was uneven and the filing was crooked. So I do hair and I always go to salon centric to get my products, I decided when I was finished to walk next door to get a manicure pedicure because it's starting to get hot outside meaning sandal weather. This is my FAVORITE nail salon in the OC! Salon: Clean, modern and has a very easy going flow. The employee's speak English and so does the owner. So that's ALWAYS a plus. Pricing: AMAZING. For a gel mani and pedi for under $45 is pretty remarkable. I always get the pedi during summer time. Which is a must because it lasts longer. Great manis and pedis every single time! I'm bummed they don't have Shellac products but i'm always satisfied with my OPI Bubble Bath color. They offer several services. Waxing, hair color/cut etc. All priced perfectly. They are ALWAYS busy which is a great sign for a salon! I used to drive to Anaheim to get my nails done at Nail Avenue. The fame they got online really got to their heads and the service dropped MAJORLY. They have lost multiple clients to poor scheduling and then arguing with customers etc. Not professional one bit! You wont experience that at S & P Salon. Great service is ALWAYS guaranteed. Some say this is a average nail salon-- sure, it may be. However, being located in Fullerton not on the best side at that (lol) it's a very nice salon. They do offer complimentary bottled water. That's a plus. I had the worse experience by the manager/owner. He ruined my relaxing time on Saturday. A customer sitting next to me was being charged $10 extra on top of her pedi payment. Only because she brought her own bottle of gel polish (that does not require UV Light). It's basically regular polish. She was never informed of such extra charge and was going back and forth with this man. The man threatened to lock her inside the nail salonand call the police if she didn't pay $30. She ran out and called the police. The police then showed up... I will NEVER return! Not only was this manager being shady with this extra fee he never disclosed to her but he ruined my relaxing time there. You need new management! What can I say about this awful place. First off I'll talk about its good points- the place is spacious when I first walked in and I was offered a spot immediately. So Kudos to them, however I saw a woman sit right next to me wait up to an hour for a seat, who I felt really bad for. Since it was packed, they tried to rush through EVERYTHING. I was trying to get a gel mani and they had to take off my previous gel mani with acetone. They didn't wait long enough so they REALLY had to scrape off my nails. Ouch! Secondly, when they started clipping my cuticles, they cut me- twice! I even said ouch, please stop on my pinky (since I have sensitive cuticles) and the lady STILL kept cutting like crazy!! Third, they did a terrible job at filing my nails down, they didn't take the proper time to make everything nice and even. Also, she was still filing my nails down, even when some were already painted and some were in the UV machine already. First visit was 6 months ago. My sister and mom raved about this place. I came here with a friend to get gel manis. It's not my first time getting a gel mani and the concept is pretty simple to remove the lacquer-soak them first and then scrub or peel off. Typically can take up to 15 min right? Kid you not-the manicurist took 45 minutes to an hour to remove the gel. And then another 45 to paint what turned out to be a butchered job. The uv machine burned and cracked the paint. I was horrified. Then I got some BS explanation from the manager that the effect is due to my previous manicure. Yeah-that sounds "sciency". Anyways he offered I can come back and they could repaint them for free and I wouldn't wait so long. So why am I writing this now? Because after 6 mos, I decided to give them one more chance. Today. Since it's on the way from where I was working, I decided to pop in. And no-I did not remind them of their verbal agreement. I doubt they would had remembered. This was really an unplanned stop. I walked in-was seated. Offered to look at paint options and then waited. For 40 minutes. Then another 15 rolled by and I said "yup-not gonna work out. I'm leaving." A mani or pedi is done for aesthetic reasons or what have you. For me, it was a chance to relax from a days work. And I ended up building on more stress from being ignored and walked by. This place may have great service-but I don't see it. They're really understaffed. And color selection is limited. Don't expect great service or even quality. I'm sticking to my old spot in Anaheim. I'm so upset! I just got a gen manicure yesterday and my nails look disgusting. The woman who did my nails was named Vinnie, she was rude to me by telling me I bite my nails too much (I DONT!). I don't bite my nails, I have to continuously cut them super short because I work with children with autism and don't want to accidentally scratch them while I'm helping them throughout the day. I came in on a weekday so it wasn't that busy and they were able to seat me and my friend right away. We both got pedicures and they were done pretty well. The ladies working on us were very friendly. I got my eyebrows waxed also. A different woman came and did that while I was having the pedicure. She was a bit on the rough side, so I didn't care much for that. Plus, it's kind of hard having both procedures done at once. My friend got her hair cut after her pedicure. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge. She left my ring finger polish bumpy the polish on the other nails needed more coats & look uneven she cut my middle finger with the filer. This salon was excellent--my mom and I came in for a gel mani and a pedi, and we are both thrilled with our results. The staff were all very polite and attentive, the owner was very helpful on the phone and in person. The gel mani was VERY well priced, and while I don't normally go for the full spa pedi experience, this one was great. My only complaint would be that the water in the foot bath got a bit tepid.
