This is my first visit at this joint. One thing about businesses I love is seeing now is a smile on their faces and not a stupid mask. How does it make you feel when you see a smiling person? We visited on Sunday around 1130am. We were able to easily park near the door when we arrived and our group of 6 were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. Overall, a WONDERFUL experience here! Our server, Tad, was GREAT and answered questions about menu items with ease! He made sure our glasses and coffee were always full and he was available to see if we needed anything. Our food arrived quickly and our orders were accurate. Tad made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit without hovering over our table. Our food tasted GREAT and the value vs. cost was very good as well. Our total bill was around $22 per person which for the quality and quantity of food we received was great. Definitely highly recommend this place and we will be back again!! read more

Pretty good breakfast place in north Mesa. Came here before road trip to Apache Trail Scenic byway. Service was very friendly. I saw today's special crab cake benedict as I walked in and decided to order. Like other benedict here, they serve on home made focaccia bread. I like focaccia bread but I learned I like simple English muffin when paired with hollandaise sauce. The sauce and focaccia bread were fighting for its own distinctive flavor, it wasn't for me. focaccia bread sat heavy for a while. Really filled me up, I was full for a while. Crab cake served is decent size. Deep fried crab cake. I really liked the concept but imitation crab wasn't necessary. I would prefer to pay extra for real crab. Lots of gluten free options on this menu. They make their own juices. Their mimosa options are so good and they have multiple types of juices to make mimosas with. They do call ahead seating which is great for brunch places. Their gluten free waffles are my favorite! read more

Had breakfast this morning at Sunnyside breakfast lounge went to leave and one of the waitresses was holding a food tray and turned around to her left and hit me in the face with the tray. Everything on the tray went all over me and my grandson that I was holding. She never once apologized and by the time I got home I had a fat lip. I called to speak with a manager and got Ashlley she proceeded to tell me that I ran into the tray. However, she was not there at the time. I then asked to speak with someone higher up and she said the owner Kyle could not take my call because they were too busy. If the owner can not take my call for five minutes and have compassion for someone else then himself this place is not worth eating at. read more

I have been to this amazing spot multiple times, and now I can certainly state that they have some of the best breakfast food and service I've ever received. I'll try to break it down for easier reading. Decor: When you arrive, you'll see that they have a generous outdoor seating area, that is gated. I really enjoy it because the sun is blocked by the building, so you're not scorching from the heat. Inside it's an array of colors, tables, and old school ceiling fans. Service: From the minute you check in, you're greeted with warm and personable servers and staff. I have NEVER had any issue with service here, and really commend them for this. It's not easy dealing with high volumes of patrons, and they knock it out of the park. Food: Yaaaaasssss. That's all I have to say. Their menu is big, but not over kill. So this has been our favorite breakfast place for quite some time. We were also impressed with the COVID protocol they put in place. But a few weeks ago were served our food from a person not wearing a mask. We were very surprised and sent our food back. Gave them another chance today and we noticed someone preparing food in the kitchen not wearing a mask. We told the hostess why we decided to leave. She said there was nothing she could do because the person was the owner. So much for supporting this local business. read more

Pros: our server was very nice, I didn't catch his name but he was great! The food was fast and hot and mostly good! The pico de gallo on the chilaquiles was so good!! My daughters pancakes looked fabulous and the fruit on the side was really fresh. My husbands bacon and eggs looks simple and tasty as well. (The salsa was not very good, very sweet and very cumin-y) Opportunities: if you are a germaphobe don't look up at the ceiling! I'm glad the fans were not on blowing downward. Looks like it hasn't been dusted in a long time. The floor was also very sticky where we sat. Average place, good food, but not sure we will be back. Thus is a cute place, nicely put together. Love the decor, the feel, it's clean & comfy. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy with a egg and their homemade sausage. Their sausages absolutely delicious and it's big sausages. The gravy was delicious I didn't taste the biscuits but I'm assuming since my wife pretty much ate it all it's great! I had the Chimi Supreme which comes with an egg cheese chorizo bacon sausage and potato and a verde salsa. It was absolutely delicious and enough to take home the second half. I wanted to get a juice but apparently their juicer was broken. I think she said there was a new juicer that was too powerful. I don't remember but I didn't get that which was kind of a bummer. I got hit chai tea and it was very small. My thoughts are they charge too much for their drinks. Smallest chai tea I ever had $4, same price as my wife's much larger chocolate milk. My only other issue was when it was time to pay the bill she dropped off the bill and split fastinstead of sticking around to get my wife's credit card which she was in her purse getting. So we got up and thought we had to pay at the counter, but it turns out we were supposed to pay at the table so that seemed a little confusing . It wasn't crowded, that we're not very many tables. My mother and I drive by this restaurant all the time, since we moved to the Las Sendas area. I was surprised how big this restaurant was inside. My family loved their breakfast dishes which were spinach crepes, pancakes with Nutella and banana on top, and chicken fried steak. I ordered the Sonoran crepes which came with chorizo, pico de Gallo, and cheese. I wasn't a fan of my meal as the chorizo was very little and clumped up into small balls. But the rest of the dishes my family had tasted great. Will be back to try a different breakfast dish or maybe lunch. read more

I got the Chorizo Bennie which was really good! I loved that it came on focaccia bread. The waiter was really nice and we got there just before what seemed like the bunch rush so we were sat pretty quickly. However, from the time we sat until the time we got our food was about an hour, maybe a few minutes less. The waiter apologized for the wait and explained that the kitchen was backed up. I appreciated that he communicated that to us. An hour still seems like a very long time though. I'm hoping that isn't the normal experience, and I am more than willing to go back. Just maybe make sure you have plenty of time if you're going on the weekend for brunch. read more

Wonderful place in North East Mesa for breakfast. There is usually a pretty long wait to get in, especially now with limited capacity, but our wait this Sunday was only about 15 minutes, and I'm glad we waited! There is something about a coffee drink that makes you feel less guilty about day drinking, and they have a nice selection of fun morning cocktails-my Iced White Russian hit the spot! I don't like coffee too sweet, and if you don't add any syrup it's just perfect. My husband ordered the Corned Beef Hash and he said it was delicious, like his Grandma used to make. I got the Veggie Bennie with some substitutions and it was delicious, the spinach and mushrooms and avocado were fresh and generously portioned, and the focaccia bread was a nice change from an English muffin. The bacon was crispy as requested, and the potatoes were hearty, I prefer them seasoned and sautéed, these were fried, but tasty nonetheless. Great service - servers worked together well. read more

Went to this restaurant on Wednesday morning at around 9am .They sent me in the seat I said there for 15 minutes nobody even came to me. Got up walked out the door no one said one thing to me when down the street to kneaders got my food within five minutes I suggest y'all go to kneaders.. I definitely recommend this place! Great variety of food! Food tastes amazing, portions are very filling. They have morning mimosas (my fave) It is a bit small and kind of crowded next to the bar but the place is very nice. I Love the design on the wall on top of the bar. Service was good, definitely could have had a few more mimosas and more water but she was still very nice and in the end she did stop by more often. I certainly don't understand the reviews. We must have ordered the wrong things. For a place called Sunnyside, the restaurant is dark. I've grudgingly accepted the fact that all breakfast places now charge $16 for bacon and eggs but $13 for a small bagel sandwich seems excessive. The pancakes were very good but if you offer biscuits and gravy, the biscuits should be good. These were hard and crunchy...at least a few days old. The server was attentive and friendly which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2 . There are too many options for breakfast for us to return to Sunnyside. read more

The poached eggs were more on the undone side with egg whites still running. We've been here before and had a better experience with the Benedict's. My husband got the country fried steak which renders a delicious smoky flavor from the gravy. You can't go wrong with that.
