Good, solid diner food. Decent service. We came here after an early am hockey game, they were able to seat all 20 of us right away. We were never rushed. Our group had a little bit of everything: omelets, poached eggs hash (special), burger club, waffles, pancakes, etc. All were good. They were able to do separate checks for all our families. Two meals came out way late, those meals were "missed" in the kitchen... That's why I said service was decent not outstanding. That said, our waitress was happy and very sweet. Their home fries are amazing, pretty sure all the reviews will tell you as much. But rest assured, the rest of your breakfast will be just as good! I had an omelet that was done perfectly. My wife's waffle combo came with a dense, substantial Belgian waffle, perfectly crisp bacon, and delicious sausage. It was all simple food, but they just do everything right here. The friendly staff makes it even better. Oh and their signs about coffee makes it seem like they really get me. For example, "Instant human: just add coffee" and "I don't have a problem with caffeine, I have a problem without it." They speak my language! First, the service here was great. The waitresses all worked together and we're very attentive. This is through and through a true locals place. The waitresses knew most of the costumers orders when they walked in and a new waitress training was introduced to the men sitting at the breakfast bar. It did have a cute feeling about it which I enjoyed. They had an extensive omelette selection so I went for it, and was disappointed. The omelette felt like it was missing eggs and was over cooked. I did order their loaded home fries which were good. I would go back because as I was watching the regulars, none of them had omelettes. So now I'm thinking I should have gone more traditional in my meal. The bathroom was dated, small and not overly clean but def cleaning to a gas station which was my alternative since I had a long drive following my breakfast. Surprised by this unassuming little gem in Warwick. We were in the area and found the restaurant with the help of fellow yelpers. Great staff, and a huge breakfast menu filled with creative omelets. Cut and dry little breakfast spot right on west shore road. Staff was extremely nice the place was very clean. The prices were great, I had "The Classic" which was 2 eggs, choice of breakfast meat, toast, and homefries for $5.75 I didn't think you could find a breakfast like that for under $10 now a days! Over easy eggs were cooked perfect, homefries were diced and seared nicely, not much seasoning in the food which I like for a plain breakfast. Staff was very nice and the coffee was good. Visited Sunnyside for the first time. Was impressed with the large breakfast menu. Every type of omelette you can think of. The scrambled eggs were delicious. The home fries were wonderful and not greasy like some breakfast restaurants. The coffee was good and the service was excellent. Went here for the first time today. It was pretty good. They had run out of steak which was a bummer for my husband as he wanted steak and eggs, but he ended up going with the sausage and gravy biscuits which he seemed to enjoy. I got a "4 x 2" which was 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, and french toast (or pancakes). It was fairly decent. I didn't feel like there were enough eggs but that was okay. The french toast was very heavily sprinkled with cinnamon. Overall I would say it is pretty average breakfast joint, on the better side. The service was very friendly and prompt. The menu is huge so I would look forward to going back again and trying out some different options. I recommend! read more

This place is always busy - and for good reason. The staff have all been there as long as I can remember, and I've been coming for about 10 years now. All the ladies are super friendly and are fun to crack a joke with as they take your order. The food is always great, and their ever changing menu had a lot of mouthwatering choices! My boyfriend loves getting to try out their latest flavored coffee and stuffed french toast creations when we are lucky enough to be in the area for breakfast. Best diner in RI in my opinion when it comes to food quality and pricing. I've brought a lot of food snobs here and Sunnyside has always won them over completely. The service is just ok and they usually look annoyed when you come in and sit down. When ordering you have to keep it basic, and don't ask for the steak and eggs because they do not have steak . They will offer you shaved streak but that is not the same. The quality of the good was better ten years ago and it is not worth the time it takes to cook.
