Using my blackberry yelp app I drove to NJ's cafe only to find it in the black & decker industrial building and is an employee cafeteria and closed to the general public. damn! Should have read the fine print, but it was on my blackberry and I had just had my pupils dilated at the eye doctors so woe is me! So I drove around and found the "Donut Bagel." I was hungry and it was 9:30 am and I really wanted a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. (Like NJ is supposed to have, I'm still fuming.) Walking inside, I found the real name of this place is "Sunrise Bagel & Deli." I ordered the egg, cheese and chorizo on a French baguette. Not since I was in Paris, France, have I had a crisper, chewier, tastier baguette! Oh, and the cheese, and egg, and chorizo... mmmm I was in heaven. It only costs $3.50! Gawd, it was good, and I washed it down with a bottled orange juice. My tummy is really satisfied. the place is run by Asians, and whoever is their baker, I think it's them, really has the French official recipe for baguettes. yum, yum, yum. My day took a turn for the good. thanks for the blackberry snafu, I found a great bakery/deli not too far from work... Oh, and I gave NJ's Cafe a one-star rating to knock it down from 5-stars to 3-stars. That's for not being open to the general public... now my venting is complete. lol read more

This place is all over the map. I have eaten here a few times because I am at a client site in this shopping center- and this is convenient. I have had the spring egg rolls which are amazing. they come with three different dipping sauces. The salads are nothing to write home about and they are just average. The sandwiches are hit and miss. I most recently had the garlic chicken. It is decent especially for the price (3.50- 6 inches) but the chicken is so dry. The service by the ladies working there is sub par. There is one hispanic man who works there and he is actually pleasant and friendly, always has a smile. Would i ever drive out of my way to come here? heck no. am i am content with it being close and accessible, sure. I will be back for the spring rolls. read more

My moms lives near this place, so I've been going here since I used to live with her years ago. It was my secret chorizo burrito spot. They make it soo good (chorizo, egg, cheese, and just the right amount of potato) and have kept the prices very reasonable. I drench every bite in tapatio because I'm a saucy guy like that. Over the years this place is still here and has gotten busier. Like a lot busier, but I always call in my order so it's never a problem. The girls here are working hard all the time. They may not be the sweetest berries in the bunch, but you can tell they put a great deal of pride in what they do, so you end up with a quality product. $5 minimum for credit card/ATM charges or pay a transaction fee. I honestly can't yet vouch for the rest of the food, but if it's as good as their chorizo burrito you can expect great food. I would have given it 4 stars but they don't offer refills on coffee. that being said their food was pretty good. my omelette tasted pretty fresh but it lacked flavor so I had to put hot sauce on it. the hash browns were crispy and tasty. my daughter really loved them. the bagels were mediocre. not nearly as good as bagel Shack. overall value was fair, and the service could have been friendlier. This place is super good and fast! I'll always support a mom n pop versus a corporate chain and this place is not exception. Met up with some coworkers before work i'm in and out of here with an Ice coffee, egg cheese sausage on everything bagel sandwich before my buddy even got to place his order next door at star bucks. and It cost the same amount for my meal and his over priced 30 minute to make coffee. I'm like wtf did you order?! are they still growing the beans? I have become hooked on this place. I've been around the area for two years and just recently tried this place and I loved it. Ever since I've been stopping by every morning to grab a bite. Sooooo tasty! The setup is more like a miniature Subway. They make all the sandwiches, Bagels, and Croissants right there in front of you with fresh ingredients! Best bagel place I've come across in my 3 years living in Orange County. They also have donuts, and starbucks is right next door! I got the ham, cheese, egg, and bacon croissant, F*ing TASTAY! They also have all kinds of bagel and bread sandwiches with every ingredient you could think of. Next time i go i'm definatly getting the avocado and tomato bagel that I saw after i ordered. There are so many delicious choices I couldn't decide :D I'm definitely coming back until i try everything on the menu, so I'll see you there! read more

Fresh Jalapeño bagel with bacon cheese and egg so yummy! This is definitely the place to come in early morning take a nice jog around the trail thats right by this place and afterwards have a freshly made bagel sandwich. There are better bagel/breakfast spots nearby (bagel shack, bagels and brew, even einsteins). I've tried sunrise bagels on a few occasions but they always manage to screw up our order. The food is mediocre but i don't think it's fair to expect more at these prices. It's cheap. We only go here for convenience since it is right next to a Starbucks. If you have a few extra minutes, drive to one of the other bagel places nearby. read more

I just discovered this place. Great breakfast and lunch at a great price. It looks like a family run small business and I love to support that. The viejo was awesome (bagel with cream cheese, tomato and avocado) and the turkey supreme is delicious. Everything is fresh, healthy and tasty and Cheap! Baguettes and bagels are the best I've had in Orange County. They easily beat out any other local, independant or chain, breakfast/ sandwich place on price and quality. read more

This place is life. I am a huge bagel fan. It's a delicious circle of yummy goodness, if it's done right. And this place definitely does it right. Friend suggested we stop at this place because she'd been one time before and had given it great reviews. I thought, "She's no pro, I'll have to see for myself." So we stop. First impression: I love that I'm hit in the face with the smell of BACON! I glance around the small shop and I think to myself, this place was made for quick service, not to dine in and lounge around. Which is great if you want to grab a bite to go. Not a lot of clutter/traffic. I ordered the "Rancho" on a plain bagel. It's an open face bagel, (where both sides are created equal), with cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and crispy bacon piled high. First: the smell made my heart flutter and I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this mountain of greatness. Second: the first bite danced around my mouth with flavors of sweet, buttery, savory-ness. Third: Texture was perfect. Crispy, smooth, and balanced. I had never had a bagel so great in my entire life and not to mention, it was well worth the price! I'll admit, I scarfed down the first half, but I took my time with the second half. The last bite was better than the first. It should be noted that a piece of avocado slid from Friend's bagel and I felt heartache for her as it hit the center console in the car. Knowing she couldn't enjoy every bite of her Sunrise Bagel creation made me a little sad. All in all, this bagel and deli shop receives five stars! I was a little disappointed when I came in at 11:30 and most of their bagel flavors were sold out (even plain). I still got a vegetarian sandwich on a baguette and all the other reviews were right - the baguette is AMAZING. I would come back for sure for that bread.
