We're staying at the Radisson the next couple nights and the hotel restaurant looked lackluster. We asked at the front desk for places that delivered and got two pizza places and Sunrise. We ordered from Sunrise, expecting mediocrity, and were actually pleasantly surprised. For appetizers, we got a pork egg roll and wonton egg drop soup. The pork egg roll seemed to be mostly pork flavored cabbage, but was fried well and tasted great. If I had the wonton egg drop soup to do over, I would get plain wonton soup. The wontons were good, but the egg drop broth was a little bland. I ordered the Happy Family, which has shrimp, pork, beef, chicken, and one lobster tail in it, along with the usual assortment of vegetables. My dining companion is a picky eater and ordered chicken and broccoli with no other vegetables. They accommodated her request with no issues. When I requested fried rice with my entree, they complied for a small up charge, but took it very literally - fried white rice with nothing added. All in all, it tasted good and we were pleased with the overall meal. Better than expected and enough food for her to share some bites with a friend and me to make mine two meals and a snack. read more

I've passed this place so many times and it is on a major route, which surprises me that it has not been reviewed. We ordered take out and delivery, so I can not tell you what the inside situation is, however, I will tell you that they get the orders right and delivery was surprisingly fast. Like pizza parlors, there are so many Chinese restaurants to choose from and I would rate this average to above average from my experiences. First of all their prices are on the low side, but they do not skimp on ingredients, like shrimp and veggies and they never use MSG, which thrills me, because when I forget to ask, my immediate migraine reminds me. The shrimp egg rolls were standard, enough shrimp, they were good enough, but I've had much better. The Hunan shrimp was very good, nice and spicy, plenty of shrimp and large pieces of peppers, onions, snow peas and carrots. The fried rice was very dry, no flavor whatsoever, no egg to be found, but some baby shrimps, lots of peas and carrots, I detected no onion, I would not order this again. General Tso's shrimp had way too much breading on it, however the shrimp were large and the sauce was good. The hot and spicy shrimp was a good dish, plenty of large shrimps and veggies and lots of good sauce. The shrimp lo mein was cooked perfectly, filled with enough shrimp and had a nice flavor to it. Like I said this is average Chinese take out food, it won't wow you, but it will feed that craving when you're hankering for some Chinese food. read more

I work near Sunrise. I've ordered take-out lunch/dinner for several years and have never had a bad experience. The order is always ready when I arrive. It's good, basic Chinese food and you can't beat the lunch specials. read more

Service is the same as any Chinese take-out place the teriyaki chicken on a stick is very good the pupu is not bad and you just have to test things out some things have more veg than meat vice versa read more

I have been there plenty of times before, never had a bad experience, the last two times I have gotten food from there the lady at the counter taking the order has messed up my order and has either forgotten part of my order or added something that wasn't asked for. Today my husband got food and she messed up our order again, added food and forgot food, when we got home to eat it I found hair in my food. Like I've said I've never have an issue if the husband is working and cooking but when the wife is she always messes up! Most likely will NOT be going back! read more

absolutely HORRIBLE. i called in for a delivery, i ordered a pork chow mien combination plate. when they asked for my addresses i had to repeat it 3 times because they could not find my address. i got frustrated, so i told them to cancel my order. their response is "is this a fucking joke?" excuse me that's not how you talk to your customers or anyone. read more

All that would be fine if you don't miss the old ladies with their pushcarts hawking their goodies at your table. I sort of did miss them as they are what I remember most fondly about those enormous meals around a large round table with family and friends that I enjoyed growing up. But, this is certainly not that, and therein lies the difference of having a totally enjoyable experience vs a fast food version without any cultural entertainment value. Without that, the food was just not as tasty and fun. The Xiao Long Bao skin was too thick and chewy, although the pork infused hot soup within was decent. Similarly, the sui mai and shrimp dumplings had better texture outside, but tiny shrimp within. The glutinous rice rolls had a pleasant light soy sauce and right textured wrap, but small shrimp in both size and number. The best we had was the potato croquette (crunchy outside, hot and grated tato within). The room was all blond wood and large traditional Chinese kitchen mural on the wall. Service was efficient. Prices were about right given the recent restaurant inflation. For my three stars I would rather return to the enrapture of the old ladies and their carts.

They are thicker than the French, but maintain the delicacy and ability to hold their contents well by delicious elasticity. I ordered three to go (Massachusetts, Virginia and New York), all of which had either roast chicken, mushroom and/or spinach, cheese and sautéed onion stuffed within. Go to their website for details. They were each large and folded to fit into the small brown sandwich bags, and then housed in a sized cardboard box. The weight surprised pleasantly, and encouraged to get home to sample. Although a little oily on the surface as they cooled, the taste of each was spectacularly delicious. Each used excellent ingredients, with the flavor of roast chicken and/or mushroom & onions captivating the buds. Melted cheese, perhaps a bit runny, added to the experience. Loved them all. The operation was run this day by two women (mother & daughter), who were charmingly modest; who seemed to appreciate our interaction. I will be looking for United Crepes on upcoming weekends. It is one of the great choices available as selected by Newtown Brewing to keep their customers and the surrounding community excited by the prospect of tasty fun food right in the neighborhood.
