The food was really good. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait for a table. I guess that is a result of the good food. The staff was very busy and need to be a bit more attentive and welcome new customers and affirm the waiting wont be long while waiting for a table. Great food great prices! Have been coming here a long time and things feel very different . Used to fast service and consistent good quality food. Not the case today. It was just ok. Spinach mushroom cheese omelet was just so so. Spinach in a few areas of the omelette and the mushrooms were canned and slimy. This used to be our go to place and always had some good specials but I have to pass now. Sat at the counter and it was very clear that the staff is almost all inexperienced. One of the servers kept walking back and forth like she had nothing to do and she was grabbing food in the dish room. The place was packed and she shouldn't be snacking. I will say Most of the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. I May have made a bad decision. My husband had poached eggs over hash that was good so maybe I'll try again not sure. read more

Went this past Saturday morning as we hadn't been out for breakfast due to Covid. Sat ourselves to eat as instructed, was given menus immediately from the hostess and told someone would be right with us. We sat for 15 minutes or more without acknowledgement but were looked at multiple times from various staff members and never approached. A family of 3 walked in to which a table that had just been cleaned and were immediately handed menus and asked for a drink order. We ended up walking out due to poor service or lack thereof. The only reason for the one star is because they have access to a bathroom in the event of a shameless diarrhea blowout. read more

It's a diner but I love small town diners. Clam chowder is excellent! Probably one of the best I've ever had and I travel extensively. I also like the chicken salad sandwich. If I lived here, I'd be checking out some of their omelet and pancake seasonal specials. They looked great! My friend had a pastrami sandwich which was really good. Stopped here right off the highway on our way up to Acadia. Hoping for a quick quality breakfast rather than an easy greasy sandwich from dunks. Restaurant was clean looking with a few booths, but mainly free standing tables. Menu did not offer a lot of healthy options or variety. Most egg specialties involved some sort of Benedict style concoction with hollandaise sauce. Ended up ordering the make your own omelette with spinach, mushroom, tomato and onion an English muffin and a side of homefries. Daughter ordered strawberry pancakes which consisted of mediocre pancakes covered in weird tasting strawberries from frozen. Service was fine. No complaints here. Those in the kitchen however left a lot to be desired. Omelette was bland and veggies barely touched the grill before going into the omelette leaving the cheese unmelted and onion almost raw. Eggs were labeled "fresh" on the menu but seemed like the kind you pour out of a container. Homefries weren't much better, very basic, but I was only served a scant amount so I can't be too sure. Overall, we were disappointed. Too expensive in my opinion for what we got. Kick it up a bit in the kitchen and could be great. My advice...keep driving! read more

Not that they need a good review because the place is full of locals. But as out of towners we can't give this place enough stars. Friendly waitresses and the best clam chowder I think I've ever eaten! Buttery and lots and lots of clams and chunks of potatoes. DIL says quiche was average. Son says French dip roll could have had a looser crumb. So maybe I'm just swooning over the clam chowder. But will make a point of stopping here in the future. read more

The prices are reasonable at $5-$10 a meal. They are often busy at the usual breakfast times, especially on the weekends. The food was ok - just ok - when the food arrived it was room temperature - everything was ok - there is ketchup salt and pepper to add flavor. I do not recommend the coffee - it is very strong and by the time you get cream the coffee is room temp too - The service was ok. This place used to be our favorite place for breakfast. Ate there two days ago and it was filthy dirty. Garbage and dirt underneath the tables as well an ant trail underneath our table where food was left. The food was still good but the cleanliness was definitely lacking. So sad! read more

Stopped by this morning and people were literally waiting outside to get in and eat. If there was 1 con Id say this was it. They need to have a bigger place to accommodate all their fans. Staff is awesome, food is amazing and fast. Prices are cheap. It's understandable why with so many other places to eat in this general vicinity, people are willing to wait to get in. As a server, I'm very disappointed with the service we received. The waitress was not friendly and never checked on us once we had our food and then dropped our bill without even a thank you. As far as I'm concerned, checking on someone once they have food is a waitresses priority and doing it with a smile on your face would be a nice touch. My son and me went to this place and we are very disappointed in the service and food. They call home fries a boiled potato with the skin on and chopped up. I complained about it and then what they offer is to deep fry it. The omelette wasn't good either. The vegetables weren't cooked. And the cheese was missing.
