Which I ordered directly from their downloadable menu on their website. The person at the register was super nice. I can't say the same for the person from the bar that told me it wasn't their fault that I wasn't told before I drove there because they don't take the calls. She didn't even tell the person at the register that they didn't have it. I tried to address this privately before leaving a bad review. The person told me sorry for the inconvenience and would not communicate any more than that. I won't be back and won't recomend it to anyone else. Which is sad! read more

Today, I was short on time, but needed some lunch, so I stopped here since I remembered enjoying pizza here years ago. I explained to the server that I was in a bit of a hurry, and she took that to heart. I ordered two slices, and she said it would take just two to three minutes to hear it to serving temperature. She was exactly correct, and served me a slice of Old World and a slice of their White pizza. Both were heated just right, and had a crispy kind-of deep crust that was delicious! The Old World had a wonderfully spiced red sauce with good pepperoni & Romano sprinkled on top. I added some red pepper flakes & extra cheese from the table. The White pizza had lots of mozzarella, garlic, & other flavors that were a nice mix. Each slice was only $1.95, and the service was exceptional at 2 in the afternoon. They had an extensive menu, and everything looked good, but I can only share my take on ordering a couple of slices. read more

Always have a good meal here. Extensive menu usually means mediocre quality - not the case at Sunrise! Pasta dishes are very good, chicken alfredo is the best around. Pizza (including stuffed pizza) and burgers are all great. Pizza burger splash is ridiculous (in a good way). Service is always good, as is the atmosphere. read more

This is a very worthy place that we stopped at on our road trip from Indiana to New York, Yelp reviews and the Road Food site having alerted me to it. I'm a pizza aficionado, so I was intrigued by their reputation for a unique or regionally specialized "Brier" (or "Briar"?) style of pizza. Turns out that you can order slices of selected forms of it, which they keep at the bar. So we ordered a couple of slices along with our mains. Son got FIsh and Chips; I got eggplant parm. The pizza was definitely on the salty side but acceptably so--it has a bottom-fried crust of a sort one gets in pan pizzas cooked in oiled pans; and there is only red sauce atop and then a heavy dusting of what appeared to be either boxed Parmesan (like Kraft) or perhaps a pecorino romano cheese. The red sauce on the pizza, like with the eggplant parm, was a long-cooked, almost smoky flavored sauce, and I'm pretty sure they use a significant amount of red bell pepper in the sauce. It was not a "fresh, tomatoey" kind of sauce, but a long-simmered, deeper, darker type of sauce. I actually don't fancy their type of sauce over others, but it was well done in its own style, and I won't ding it. The menu is large and reminiscent of many an Italian/Greek family restaurant such as one sees pretty often in the Northeastern states, but less often in the midwest. read more

What can I say about Sunrise... I lived in the area for awhile before finding the jewel that is Sunrise. Hands down one of my top 5 pizza places. The traditional is awesome, but the Greek pizza for me takes the cake. I love it! Im not a huge "pepperoni and cheese" pizza person. I'm more into different toppings. The Greek is just amazing. It has feta cheese, olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, and Italian dressing. I'd eat this once a week if I could. The actual food at Sunrise is good too. I love the bread bowel salads, and the fried veggies appetizer. If I had to have a complaint it be the prices. Little higher for pizza. And the wait, it could be over an hour if you're waiting to pick up pizza. I understand why, but it's still annoying. read more

Been going to the sunrise inn since I was a kid and always got a kick out of going into the restaurant and giggling at the condom machine. (I was young, what do you expect) Anyway, unfortunately the bathrooms look exactly the same and so does the restaurant. BUT.... If you want good pizza then sunrise is the place to get it. As far as the appearance of the place, if you are thinking about taking someone there for the first time you might want to blindfold them and tell them to go to the bathroom before they go in. OMG! I walked into this place to have a Thursday morning breakfast, but instead almost lost my lunch. I'm not sure who, or what, died in this placeb but the horrific smell was overwhelming. It was a cross between a dead animal and pounds of parmesan cheese, with a bit of used athletic socks thrown in. We had dinner with friends at the Sunrise Inn. Our food was very good, as we've come to expect from SI. I would've given our visit 4 or 5 stars, but the on-duty manager (David) rejected two simple requests regarding lunch/dinner portions, and substituting Marinara with Alfredo sauce. Either of these requests were simple, basic, and easy to accommodate (and we would've happily paid any necessary up charge), but it would appear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for the manager that evening. On the plus side, we received great service from Erika. She was warm, professional, and totally on the ball! Her customer service made our visit even better. I live in Arizona, but try to get to SI whenever I get to Warren. I very much recommend SI for its excellent food, atmosphere, and prices. read more

However Saturday nov 24th I called back after I placed an order to add pepperoni to my pizza, gentleman on the phone acted like it was a huge hassle & when I got my pizza there was not any pepperoni. I just moved to this area and everyone recommended this restaurant. I ate there with some friends last weekend and was very impressed! I ordered an eggplant sandwich and it was delicious! The eggplant was tender and the cheese was perfectly melted. It was a huge sandwich, so I could only eat half of it and it still tasted great the next day. The service was great. Friendly, fast but not in your face. I hear their pizza is their specialty. I will probably go there again this weekend and get some pizza! Wow! The burger was da' bomb! They have this great home made bun that sorta wrapped around the burger. It was really good. I will definitely be back (for the burger). Fries were good too. My wife and son had the pizza. It was not a good experience. First they wanted you to order AHEAD of time. Who ever heard of that? So they had to order pizza that was already cooked. We have been coming here since I was a little girl. The pizza slices are delicious and sometimes even better cold. The red, white and Greek are family favorites. Got to bring my husband here and while none of it's healthy, it's still good. We got the volcano nachos and I wanted to run a marathon after for the amount of cheese on them, but the banana peppers were a good addition. For some reason, I was craving boneless wings and the Sunrise Sucker (Garlic, Cajun, BBQ) flavor was really good. My husband got a burger and it was HUGE. He couldn't finish it, which is a rare thing for him. Family members of ours told us when traveling they will bake the pizza halfway, so you can bake it at home. Great idea! This is about the most pathetic place around anymore. Tried ordering online and it so messed up it takes forever only to finish at 9:00 on the dot & they won't accept any more orders. This is the 3rd time this place won't take any more orders, they don't even close until 11:30-12. Would have normally given 5 stars, this has always been my favorite pizza. Now, for some unknown reason, probably because it's cheaper, they decided to change the pepperoni they use to one that has changed the taste of the pizza. Really love the pizza here. The sauce is flavorful and the crust is perfect. Their stuffed pizza is really delicious. If you like pizza with everything that's what I would recommend.
