After reading plenty of reviews, I highly doubt anyone giving more than 2 stars actually knows anything about what a decent meal is. First, this place is disgusting. I've been on plenty small islands. That doesn't mean you can't clean. Second, and this is an important part. DO NOT ORDER the coffee. I repeat!! Not only does it taste like it was made three days ago and burnt Everytime they rewarmed it. But I'm pretty sure I now know what it's like to drink coffee made with dirty dish water. The pancakes we're edible. If you ask for eggs scrambled hard. Just assume theyre not and be prepared to send them back. The outside of th eggs were burnt but the inside was runny. Like other reviews. The service is severely lacking. Communication is the their downfall. read more

I ate breakfast here because of the good reviews. It was pretty busy but the wait was only about 10 minutes. The server was very sweet and knowledgeable. She was very helpful regarding the breakfast menu. The tybee seafood omelette was very filling and delicious along with the tasty grits! I look forward to dining there again! read more

I really don't like giving bad reviews but sometimes it must be done. Breakfast food is difficult to mess up so badly it's inedible as is evidenced by the existence of Waffle House. Sunrise actually accomplished just that making me wish I had chosen to go for a drive and eat at Waffle House instead. I wish I could say the service made up for it but sadly the entire experience was just the worst part of our trip. read more

My family traveled to Tybee Island last week. Our first breakfast experience was the Breakfast Club (overpriced and not a lot of food). Then we went to Sunrise; from the 2nd morning on; we ate at Sunrise every morning. It was a buffet that served consistently good food, fair pricing and after the Saturday rush, was easy to get a seat. Thank you Sunrise for the breakfast redemption. read more

The food was good & it was a short walk to the beach and other shopping. We didn't give 5 stars because the service was not great and we had to be moved for seating. The first place they sat us was the counter and it was so busy that I kept getting elbows near my plate and bumped in my back from customers and waiters.... Once we got seated at a table we didn't deal with the same personal space invasion. Would come back! But not on a busy Sunday. read more

Great breakfast selection. Buffett was kept well stocked in smaller amounts so it was fresh. Lots of fresh fruit on Buffett. Good food. Fast service. There were 11 people ahead of us but our turn came quickly. Our server was very helpful.

Service was fast. Food was good. They had plenty of variety. My only issue was they had runny eggs out but I asked the waitress to make them hard and on the 2nd or 3rd try they finally got it right, she had to do them herself because idk if the actually cook was scared he was going to hurt the egg or what but anyways. The waitress didn't have a attitude or anything. Usually when you have a problem with your order or want something a certain way people tend to get frustrated but that wasn't the case here. Really appreciated the service. Price wasn't that bad. Husband and I were mainly happy to find a breakfast spot a couple miles away from our campsite. Would recommend. We played on the beach from sunrise and worked up an appetite, so stopped by Sunrise to grab breakfast. Our waitress offered the buffet and we all dove in, kids and adults. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. There was a good variety to choose from and it was very affordable. The fruit was so fresh, ripe, sweet, and delicious we all had a couple of plates full. After my grandson's wedding on the beach we went here for breakfast. From the outside I wasn't too sure but when we walked in the door I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and inviting. So delicious! The place was calm, no loud yelling or dishing banging- so refreshing at breakfast! The food was fresh and had flavor!!

Came in for breakfast after watching the sunrise. We had the pleasure of being served by Mrs.Becky H, she was so sweet and understanding even after we asked for other seating arrangements that took us out of her section. She graciously allowed the server whom table we was asking for to take a table from her section, and she continued to serve us. Becky was attentive and caring, when you stop in ask for her... Wanted to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach for the day so we found this spot close to the pier. Very busy but was able to get three spots at the counter. Despite almost being turned away due to my friend not having on a t shirt (she was wearing a bikini top) the manager allowed us to stay. Food came out quick and was very delicious! I had the one egg and meat special with a side of hash browns and it was very good. Staff was friendly and understanding. We were skeptical walking in because it's a very "traditional" diner menu, but it was DELICIOUS! The Tybee Omelette is incredible, burger was perfectly cooked, and the chicken and waffles will knock your socks off (order a pecan waffle instead of regular to kick it up a notch)! Amazing service (thank you, Becky H.!), and the food was on our table *maybe* 5 minutes after placing out order - piping hot, perfectly cooked, and delicious. Would give 10 stars if I could! Stayed for a week in Tybee (offseason early April) and ate breakfast here every day. It was open early and reasonably priced. Other reviews complained that the omelettes are not fluffy and they are not but this is diner-style food and their omelettes are all about the fillings, not the eggs. My favorite was the cheeseburger omelette - tasted exactly like a cheeseburger without the bun. Portions are generous so I couldn't quite finish or make my way through the hashbrowns reminiscent of Waffle House. Also comes with choice of bread - so I guess you could make it a cheeseburger on wheat toast. Staff were fast and courteous. This place is perfect for families. read more

My girl friends and I visited on a Sunday around 10 am and enjoyed our food. Though it was busy, the food didn't take long and everything tasted great. We opted for items from the menu and made several substitutions. We were a group of 5, each person paid for their own ticket. An hour later, as we were walking back from the beach to our car, the waitress approached us asking if we were aware that our $93 dollar bill had not been paid... she was insisting that all 5 meals were on one ticket and that we failed to pay. We were shocked! We each paid and even left generous tips. As we were about to pull out our phones to show her our banking apps to prove that we had indeed paid, she returned to the restaurant. This left us feeling really weird and shocked that she would blame us for another party that walked out. She could have definitely approached this situation differently. read more
