My Black friend went and asked the server (who was a White woman) if she forgot mine. 10 minutes later, the server set down a beer that was 70% foam without a look or a word. Meanwhile, I watched this server seemingly ignore Black patrons while approaching other patrons and asking if they needed anything, including my Cuban friend. My Cuban friend got so irritated, she went and told the woman that it seemed like people of a certain skin complexion were getting better service. The server denied it. The server still did not care. She then took 10 minutes to bring my Black friend water and never made eye contact nor spoke to my Black friend or me. Later, another patron approached me to comment on my funny shirt. I asked her how her experience with the customer service was, and she said the waitress acted strangely towards her (Black) friend until she said something to her about it.
