Admittedly, I was never too impressed by the frill-free chopped cheeses in the Bronx -- the flavor reminded me most of a fast-food ground beef taco. Nonetheless, Angelinos flock to Chef Eric Park's Korean-ish coffee bar and sandwich shop Bodega Park for their tribute to the chopped cheese. Bodega Park's minimalist exterior and diminutive logo aren't as eye-catching as the neighboring wine shop and tattoo parlor. Outside, shamrock-green metal patio furniture is arranged underneath a row of white umbrellas. The interior is decidedly modern and minimalist. The cracked concrete floors are polished, and sunlight flows in through the windows. The whitewashed walls are decorated just with light wood slats and a Dodgers-esque Bodega Park sweater.
