    Pastrami Sandwhich!!
    Mark J.

Already had good reviews and an A+ rating in the window. Small, old school style sandwich cafe. Clean environment with personable service. The gal serving was very nice. A few regulars from the Kaiser across the street picked up orders while we were there. Pastrami Sandwhich was really good. Easy music playing. Enjoyable lunch. Thanks!

What a pleasure all around! Nvard and his wife were wonderful hosts and Nvard is a fantastic chef! The restaurant itself is nicely appointed and very clean and comfortable! It was great to finally be able to get my daughter authentic fresh chicken shawarma, unlike the dry chicken curry masquerading as shawarma at California Adventure two weeks earlier! The chicken shawarma here is made with the freshest ingredients! I even ate the tomatoes, and I don't even like tomatoes! The cucumbers had just the right amount of crunch! It was so delicious, I ate the whole thing in one sitting! My son's large pepperoni pizza was just as delicious! He ate half all by himself!...then polished off the rest when we got home! Nvard's wife even offered us peppermint Lifesavers as we were departing! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience! ‍

Passed by randomly to stumble upon this family own Pizzeria. Classic pepperoni was great, from the many locations I've been I would rate the pizza 7.1 . Very solid and consistent taste. Pesto sandwich was also a very good pick up. Sandwich was a 7.8 Very good scores for this location.

I've been meaning to try this place as I usually park nearby for appointments! The gyro was the best item out of todays order! It's stellar! I would definitely order this again and pass on the Philly cheese steak and hummus! The gyro was flavorful and packed! The hummus lacked in flavor and the Phillycheese steak just did not meet my expectations. It's a decent place to check out to help support a small business!

If you are in the neighborhood or visiting someone at the near hospital, enjoy amazing food in this quaint cafe! Their steak sandwiches are tasty with fresh bread. Their salads are so generous and everything in it tastes freshly cut ! Their grilled chicken is seasoned with delicious garlic and oregano! And their staff is always so accommodating and generous! We are lucky to have you in the neighborhood!!

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Given the small size of the shop, takeout is recommended, especially during peak hours. The sandwiches at AAV are so good! Fuggedaboutit!

The staff was rude, which was surprising since we were so excited to finally try this place. The sandwiches we ordered were just okay. Order online and have some jump out of the car to pick up your order. There is no seating inside but maybe a chair or two outside. The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges so you may want to get that food to go. We tried three sandwiches and they were all huge. The crispy chicken caesar wrap is phenomenal and I am not one who usually orders this particular sandwich anywhere. It comes with a creamy sauce that I might have drank directly from the little cup. The wrap is packed full of chicken and it is refreshing and excellent. It doesn't look huge but trust me, the wrap is packed full and you will be plenty satisfied. The Antonia sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli. It isn't all that unique a creation but for what it is, it is very fresh and very good. It came loaded with delicious turkey. The Martha sandwich (chicken salad, apples, fennel, argula, herbs, etc.) is on special right now. Personally, I am not a big chicken salad guy but you get a lot of it and the person in our party who ordered it liked it a lot. We also tried the arancini and they were excellent. You get three arancini balls and fantastic vodka sauce on the side. This is a winner. To be honest, practically the entire menu sounds great to me. They have quite a few locations and I feel like I will be trying them again soon.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! PS the kid loved theirs and so did the hub. Thanks for making dinner: easy and delicious! There are no pictures because it was too delicious to take the time out and take any. Just order.

Light, pillowy dumplings in this wonderfully rich mushroom-based broth. I'd return here solely to eat this again. Fried wax peppers with yogurt-mint sauce: another hit.
