Lovely cafe! The walls and interiors are bright and yellow with lots of art and decor that really invites you in and places a smile on your face. It was super busy and we had to wait 30 mins before we got our table. They told me I would get 3 messages and the last one would be regarding the table. I got one, which was regarding the table. They hold the table for 5 mins after the message saying it's ready. Thankfully we weren't far away. But don't wait on 3 messages! Once sat down, the servers were in to get the orders quickly but food did take a while to come. We got mimosas to celebrate a big achievement. I got the Ski Tech breakfast, which was 2 sausage patties, hash browns with pork green chili, a tortilla, salsa and sour cream, with an avocado slice to top it off. It was very good but heavy and I didn't finish the whole thing. A huge portion of hashbrowns if you ask me! My friend got the Rocky Mountain Pinon Trout, which was grilled trout, house made pinon butter, veggies and brown rice. The trout was delicious without the butter but with the butter it was AMAZING. It is "scrambled eggs, re-fried beans, & bacon rolled into a flour tortilla topped with a shredded cheese blend and spicy pork green chili." It's crazy how much was in that burrito - they don't skimp out on the bacon. I liked the flavor so much and would definitely order this again. My boyfriend got the country-fried steak and eggs, and he really liked it as well. We shared their bread pudding for dessert, and it was probably my favorite bread pudding ever. For more than 35 years, this place has been locally owned and seems to be quite popular with the ski, hiking and local crowd. It's located in the Summit Place Shopping Center so you may not see it from the main road. The atmosphere, like the food served is simple, the portions are big and the prices reasonable. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when very busy. The menu offers a variety of options including vegan ones, and for a moment the tofu was tempting but I could not resist the chorizo. My omelet came generously filled and was served with hash browns (I am not a fan, but my husband liked them) and a biscuit, all very satisfying. Five stars for Vika! Vika is seriously an awesome server and has an amazingly bright personality. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and was probably some of the best I've had. There bowl of chili was also delicious but if you don't like a little spice, then beware. If you have high standards for chicken fried steak, then I'd stear clear because it tasted like chicken steak fingers. On the whole, my buddy and I went here a couple times and were satisfied each time. And it was extra gooey, leaving no dry piece of cinnamon bread behind. It blanketed the entire thing, every single bite, as it should. It was a tough choice to make a breakfast decision or go with lunch at 12:30 in the afternoon without a full breakfast that morning. They enjoyed every drop of food (there was plenty left on these huge plates) and I got the Breck BBQ Burger that hit the spot. The food is fantastic. Our server was incredible. I'm giving this four stars instead of five stars because of our host. He came across very rude and was dismissive of us. We just wanted to get a place to sit away from the door because my father and mother are a little older. We would have waited, but he acted like there were no other solutions. Been to this restaurant twice. First time I ordered the corned beef Benedict. The hash browns came undercooked and the corned beef was soft. The service was decent though and I'm sure I left a 20%+ tip as I have worked many years in the industry. The second time I went in, I thought I'd try something else so I ordered the steak and eggs. I also asked for the hash browns to be crispy. What I received was deep fried shredded potatoes. I couldn't tell if this was sarcasm or just lack of understanding of how to cook hash browns. Who actually orders food like that? Ridiculous. So for a diner, I'm pretty disappointed as good hash browns are hard to get. Then, the server tells me she's giving me my tab. No inquiry as to how everything was, because I'm pretty sure she knew, and the total was default set to 25% tip! For what? If I'm paying almost $40 for breakfast, you'd hope they get it right. I left 20% strictly as a virtue signal. I won't be going back for a few months at least, to give their kitchen time to learn how to cook hash browns. read more

Food came quick. Price is reasonable. Please was clean. Food is above average. I personally think this is a place you go to for a straight forward/simple breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, French toast, etc). Others in my group got a variety of simple breakfast items and loved them. I got the breakfast burrito and was not impressed. The tortilla was soggy and just seemed super store bought. The chili on top was weird and not great. Not much bacon in the breakfast burrito. Two tiny slices of avocado (not enough). I've had way better.
